Rb atom motion in a magneto–optical trap(MOT) consisting of a partially spatially coherent laser(PSCL) is investigated theoretically. The spatial coherence of the laser is controlled by the electro–optic crystal. The instantaneous spatial distribution of the dissipative force induced by the PSCL on an Rb atom is varying with time stochastically. The simulated results indicate that compared with a fully coherent laser, the spatial coherent laser has effects on the atomic trajectories;however, the capture velocity and the escape velocity are kept the same. The main reason is that the spatial coherence of the laser fluctuates temporally and spatially, but the average photon scattering rate varies little, which makes the total number of atoms and the atomic density distribution unchanged.  相似文献

We develop a low frequency fiber Fabry–Perot(F-P) seismometer based on transfer function analysis. The seismometer structure and demodulation system accuracy are limitations of low frequency seismic monitoring. The transfer function of the F-P seismometer is analyzed, and the mass displacement spectrum(MDS) is introduced. MDS provides guidance for mechanical structure design and optical interferometer analysis to achieve low noise. The F-P seismometer prototype is built. The experiment shows that the prototype has an average noise of 6.74 ng=p Hz below 50 Hz, and its noise is less than that of the global new high noise model within 0.16–50 Hz, whose potential is considerable.  相似文献

The average intensity of finite laser beam propagating through turbulent atmosphere is calculated from the extended Huygens Presnel principle. Formulas are presented for the slant path average intensity from an arbitrarily truncated Gaussian beam. The new expressions are derived from the modified von Karman spectrum for refractive-index fluctuations, quadratic approximation of the structure function, and Gaussian approximation for the product of Gaussian function and Bessel function. It is shown that the form of average intensity is not a Gaussian function but a polynomial of the power of the binomial function, Gaussian function, and the incomplete gamma function. The results also show that the mean irradiance of a finite optical beam propagating in slant path turbulent atmosphere not only depends on the effective beam radius at the transmitting aperture plane, propagation distance, and long-term lateral coherence length of spherical wave, but also on the radius of emit aperture.  相似文献

The response of uniaxial anisotropic ferromagnetic particles with linear reaction dynamics subjected to alternating current(AC) or direct current(DC) bias magnetic field is evaluated by the reaction–diffusion equation for the probability distribution function of the molecular concentration in the spherical coordinate system. The magnetization function and the probability distribution function of the magnetic particles in the reaction system are derived by using the Legendre polynomials and Laplace transform. We discuss the characteristics of magnetization and probability distribution of the magnetic particles with different anisotropic parameters driven by a DC and AC magnetic fields, respectively. It is shown that both the magnetization and the probability distribution decrease with time increasing due to the reaction process. The uniformity of the probability distribution and the amplitude of the magnetization are both affected by the anisotropic parameters.Meanwhile, the difference between the case with linear reaction dynamics and the non-reaction case is discussed.  相似文献

Based on the Hermite–Gaussian expansion of the Lorentz distribution and the complex Gaussian expansion of the aperture function, an analytical expression of the Lorentz–Gauss vortex beam with one topological charge passing through a single slit is derived. By using the obtained analytical expressions, the properties of the Lorentz–Gauss vortex beam passing through a single slit are numerically demonstrated. According to the intensity distribution or the phase distribution of the Lorentz–Gauss vortex beam, one can judge whether the topological charge is positive or negative. The effects of the topological charge and three beam parameters on the orbital angular momentum density as well as the spiral spectra are systematically investigated respectively. The optimal choice for measuring the topological charge of the diffracted Lorentz–Gauss vortex beam is to make the single slit width wider than the waist of the Gaussian part.  相似文献

The gamma response function is required for energy calibration of EJ301 (5 cm in diameter and 20 cm in height) organic liquid scintillator detector by means of gamma sources. The GEANT4 and FLUKA Monte Carlo simulation packages were used to simulate the response function of the detector for standard 22Na, 60Co, 137Cs gamma sources. The simulated results showed a good agreement with experimental data by incorporating the energy resolution function to simulation codes. The energy resolution and the position of the maximum Compton electron energy were obtained by comparing measured light output distribution with simulated one. The energy resolution of the detector varied from 21.2% to 12.4% for electrons in the energy region from 0.341 MeV to 1.12 MeV. The accurate position of the maximum Compton electron energy was determined at the position 81% of maximum height of Compton edges distribution. In addition, the relation of the electron energy calibration and the effective neutron detection thresholds were described in detail. The present results indicated that both packages were suited for studying the gamma response function of EJ301 detector.  相似文献

The statistical properties of the soft gamma repeater SGR J1550–5418 are investigated carefully. We find that the cumulative distributions of fluence, peak flux and duration can be well fitted by a bent power law, while the cumulative distribution of waiting time follows a simple power law. In particular, the probability density functions of fluctuations of fluence, peak flux, and duration have a sharp peak and fat tails, which can be well fitted by a q-Gaussian function. The q values keep approximately steady for different scale intervals, indicating a scale-invariant structure of soft gamma repeaters. Those results support that the origin of soft gamma repeaters is crustquakes of neutron stars with extremely strong magnetic fields.  相似文献

A phase-field-based lattice Boltzmann model is proposed for the interface capturing of multi-phase flows based on the conservative Allen–Cahn equation(ACE).By adopting the improved form of a relaxation matrix and an equilibrium distribution function,the time derivative?t(φ)induced by recovering the diffusion term in ACE is eliminated.The conducted Chapman–Enskog analysis demonstrates that the correct conservative ACE is recovered.Four benchmark cases including Zalesak’s disk rotation,vortex droplet,droplet impact on thin film,and Rayleigh–Taylor instability are investigated to validate the proposed model.The numerical results indicate that the proposed model can accurately describe the complex interface deformation.  相似文献

The mobility of clusters on a semiconductor surface for various values of cluster size is studied as a function of temperature by kinetic Monte Carlo method. The cluster resides on the surface of a square grid. Kinetic processes such as the diffusion of single particles on the surface, their attachment and detachment to/from clusters, diffusion of particles along cluster edges are considered. The clusters considered in this study consist of 150–6000 atoms per cluster on average.A statistical probability of motion to each direction is assigned to each particle where a particle with four nearest neighbors is assumed to be immobile. The mobility of a cluster is found from the root mean square displacement of the center of mass of the cluster as a function of time. It is found that the diffusion coefficient of clusters goes as D = A(T)Nαwhere N is the average number of particles in the cluster, A(T) is a temperature-dependent constant and α is a parameter with a value of about-0.64 α -0.75. The value of α is found to be independent of cluster sizes and temperature values(170–220 K)considered in this study. As the diffusion along the perimeter of the cluster becomes prohibitive, the exponent approaches a value of-0.5. The diffusion coefficient is found to change by one order of magnitude as a function of cluster size.  相似文献

The average bit-error-rate(BER) performance is studied for a coherent free-space optical communication system employing differentially encoded quadrature phase-shift keying(QPSK) with the Mth-power phase estimation method. A closed-form expression, considering the combined effects of the Málaga(M) turbulence fading, pointing errors, and phase estimation errors, is derived in terms of Meijer's G function. Numerical and Monte Carlo simulation results are presented to verify the derived expression.  相似文献

Exact solutions to conformable time fractional (3+1)-dimensional equations are derived by using the modified form of the Kudryashov method. The compatible wave transformation reduces the equations to an ODE with integer orders. The predicted solution of the finite series of a rational exponential function is substituted into this ODE.The resultant polynomial equation is solved by using algebraic operations. The method works for the Jimbo–Miwa, the Zakharov–Kuznetsov, and the modified Zakharov–Kuznetsov equations in conformable time fractional forms. This Letter presents a multi-hop relay visible light communication(VLC) system for maritime applications.Maritime VLC systems suffer from limited coverage distance due inherently to the usage of light-emitting diodes and photodetectors. The proposed system employs a multiple of decode-and-forward relays to extend coverage distance in maritime environments. The multi-hop relay based maritime VLC is analyzed under a maritime channel modeled by the JONSWAP spectrum and gamma–gamma distribution. It is found that the use of relays in maritime environments can extend the coverage distance significantly and also improve the performance. In addition,the performance of the system is analyzed using various combining techniques at the receiver to enhance the performance. The maximal ratio combining technique is found to provide superior link quality in maritime environments.  相似文献

Under the paraxial approximation, the analytical propagation expression of an Airy–Gaussian beam(Ai GB) in uniaxial crystals orthogonal to the optical axis is investigated. The propagation dynamics of the Ai GB is given for different ratios of the extraordinary index to the ordinary refractive index. It has been found that the continuity and the self-bending effect of Ai GB become weaker when the ratio increases. From the figure of the maximum intensity of Ai GB, one can see that the maximum intensity is not monotone decreasing due to the anisotropic effect of the crystals. The intensity distribution of Ai GB in different distribution factors is shown. The Ai GB converges toward a Gaussian beam as the distribution factor increases.  相似文献

The propagation characteristics of the Pearcey–Gaussian(PG) beam in turbulent atmosphere are investigated in this paper.The Pearcey beam is a new kind of paraxial beam,based on the Pearcey function of catastrophe theory,which describes diffraction about a cusp caustic.By using the extended Huygens–Fresnel integral formula in the paraxial approximation and the Rytov theory,an analytical expression of axial intensity for the considered beam family is derived.Some numerical results for PG beam propagating in atmospheric turbulence are given by studying the influences of some factors,including incident beam parameters and turbulence strengths.  相似文献

The received signal intensity fluctuation and communication performance of an underwater optical wireless communication(UOWC) system under the air bubble effects are experimentally investigated. For different bubble density and size, lognormal, gamma, Weibull, and generalized extreme value distributions are tested to fit the fluctuation of the signal intensity at the receiving end. The best fitting distribution is found to vary with bubble parameters. The communication system performance with on–off keying and pulse position modulation is further studied.  相似文献

S-wave resonances of positron–helium and positron–lithium systems in kappa-distribution plasmas are investigated using Hylleraas-type wave functions in the framework of the stabilization method. A model potential approach is used to represent the interactions between the outer electron, the positron and the core. The resonance parameters(position and width) of positron–helium and positron–lithium systems below the Ps(2s) threshold are reported as a function of screening parameter and spectral index of plasma.  相似文献

The damping and frequency-shift in Landau mechanism of a quadrupole mode in a disc-shaped rubidium Bose–Einstein condensate are investigated by using the Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov approximation. The practical relaxations of the elementary excitations and the orthometric relation among them are taken into account to obtain advisable calculation formula for damping as well as frequency-shift. The first approximation of Gaussian distribution function is employed for the ground-state wavefunction to suitably eliminate the divergence of the analytic three-mode coupling matrix elements.According to these methods, both Landau damping rate and frequency-shift of the quadrupole mode are analytically calculated. In addition, all the theoretical results agree with the experimental ones.  相似文献

To study the electromagnetic backscattering from a one-dimensional drifting fractal sea surface,a fractal sea surface wave–current model is derived,based on the mechanism of wave–current interactions.The numerical results show the effect of the ocean current on the wave.Wave amplitude decreases,wavelength and kurtosis of wave height increase,spectrum intensity decreases and shifts towards lower frequencies when the current occurs parallel to the direction of the ocean wave.By comparison,wave amplitude increases,wavelength and kurtosis of wave height decrease,spectrum intensity increases and shifts towards higher frequencies if the current is in the opposite direction to the direction of ocean wave.The wave–current interaction effect of the ocean current is much stronger than that of the nonlinear wave–wave interaction.The kurtosis of the nonlinear fractal ocean surface is larger than that of linear fractal ocean surface.The effect of the current on skewness of the probability distribution function is negligible.Therefore,the ocean wave spectrum is notably changed by the surface current and the change should be detectable in the electromagnetic backscattering signal.  相似文献

Titanium and titanium–palladium alloys are important potential materials for nuclear waste container, which will endure both intense γ-irradiation and groundwater erosion. Therefore, it is very important to investigate the corrosion behavior of the container materials. In this research, the cumulative dose effect of TA8-1 type titanium–palladium alloy(TA8-1) and TA2-type pure titanium(TA2) under γ-irradiation was studied based on the geological disposal of nuclear wastes. The irradiation experiments were performed at room temperature using60 Co gamma sources with a 5.0-k Gy·h-1 intensity for 40, 80 or 160 days, respectively. The p H value and conductivity of Beishan groundwater were investigated.The results showed that the p H value changed from alkaline(8.22) to acidic(2.46 for TA8-1 and 2.44 for TA2), while the un-irradiated solution remained alkaline(8.17 for TA8-1 and 8.20 for TA2) after 160 days. With the increase of irradiation dose, the conductivity increases rapidly and then tends to become stable, which indicates that the titanium dioxide corrosion layer formed on the surface of the sample surface effectively prevents further corrosion. Meanwhile, XRD and SEM–EDS analysis results show that the main components of corrosion products are Ti O_2 and Ti O. The titanium on the surface of the sample is oxidized, resulting in slight uneven local corrosion. The results show that TA8-1 and TA2 are suitable to be used as candidate materials for high-level waste(HLW) disposal containers due to their excellent performance under long-term and high-dose irradiation corrosion.  相似文献
