In this paper a method of track reconstruction developed for the HERA-B main tracking system is discussed.The method based on a track following algorithm is used for track finding in the field-free area and for the track propagation through the inhomogeneous magnetic field.The performance of program for simulated and real data is shown.  相似文献

Offline calibration plays an important role in BES offline data processing. In order to achieve good spatial and momentum resolution, it is necessary to implement high precision offline calibration for the BES drift chamber. This paper studies the time-to-distance relations, which are important calibration constants for track reconstruction. The parameterization of the time-to-distance relation, studies of left-right asymmetry and studies of variation with entrance angle are performed. The impact of dead channels on the time-to-distance relation is given special attention in order to reduce the shift in measured momentum for tracks passing near dead cells. Finally we present the resolutions for barrel Bhabha events(|cos θ|< 0.8) from a J/ψ data set taken in 2012. The average spatial resolution is 123 μm and the momentum resolution for 1.548 Ge V/c Bhabha tracks is 11.9 Me V/c.  相似文献

Applying the generalized uncertainty relation to the calculation of the free energy and entropy of a Reissner-Nordstorm black hloe inside the brick wall,the entropy proportional to the horizon area is derived from the contribution of the vicinity of the horizon.This is compared with the entropy calculated via the original brick wall model,The entropy given by the original brick wall model comes from the outside of the brick wall seemingly. The inside result using generalized uncertainty relation is similar to the outside result using origing uncertainty relation,and the divergence inside the brick wall disappears.It is apparent that the cutoff is something related to the quantum theory of gravity.  相似文献

The new equation of state density is obtained by the utilization of the generalized uncertainty relation. With the help of coordinates and the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximation, direct calculation of the scalar field entropy of the non-state black hole with an internal global monopole is performed. The entropy obtained from the calculation is proportional to the horizon area. The calculation can be free from convergence if without any cutoff, which is different from the brick-wall method. However, the pertinent result is limited.  相似文献

The latent ion track in α-quartz is studied by molecular dynamics simulations. The latent track is created by depositing electron energies into a cylindrical region with a radius of 3nm. In this study, the electron stopping power varies from 3.0keV/nm to 12.0keV/nm, and a continuous latent track is observed for all the simulated values of electron stopping power except 3.0keV/nm. The simulation results indicate that the threshold electron stopping power for a continous latent track lies between 3.0keV/nm and 3.7 keV/nm. In addition, the coordination defects produced in the latent track are analyzed for all the simulation conditions, and the results show that the latent track in α-quartz consists of an O-rich amorphous phase and Si-rich point defects. At the end of this paper, the influence of the energy deposition model on the latent track in α-quartz is investigated. The results indicate that different energy deposition models reveal similar latent track properties. However, the values of the threshold electron stopping power and the ion track radius are dependent on the choice of energy deposition model.  相似文献

In this letter,the cosmic distance-duality relation has been constrained with a model-independent method by combining the baryon acoustic oscillation(BAO)data and the type Ia supernova(SNe Ia)data.The results show that this relation is consistent with the observational data in the 68.27%error range,except for the instance of Union 2.1 plus BAO with the statistic errors only,where the relation is consistent with the observations in the 95.45%error range.To study the result of the uncertainty of the Hubble constant on the investigation of this relation,we treat the dimensionless Hubble constant h as a free parameter and get that the observational data favors the relation in the 68.27%error range.And then h has been marginalized and the results support that this relation is favored by the observations in the 68.27%error range too.  相似文献

The problem of detecting and tracking point targets in a sequence of infrared images with very low signalto-noise ratio (SNR) is investigated in this paper. A track before detect algorithm for infrared (IR) point target is developed based on particle filter. The particle filter is used to estimate the state of the target in track stage. The unnormalized weights of the output of the filter are used to approximately construct the likelihood ratio for hypothesis test in detection stage. Experiment results with the real image sequences that SNR is about 2.0 show that the proposed algorithm can successfully detect and track point target.  相似文献

A geometrical model for an electrochemical etching (ECE) track in a dielectric detector is defined and a primaxy programme is written to generate the track. The generated track is transformed to an M× N matrix of primary voltages. Using a numerical method, the matrix of final voltages is computed, and using another numerical approach, the electric field strengths in the elements of detector volume are computed. The final field strength at the end of particle trajectory is obtained. The results of our numerical computation show that there are exact correlations between the field strength at the end of particle trajectory and the parameters of track under ECE. It is found that although two traditional models of Mason and Smythe in dielectrics can be partly applied for short and long tracks, none of them are able to explain the behaviour of field strength in a ‘general case'. Furthermore, we find that there is an expressive relationship between the field strength and the incidence angle of impacted particle, while the mentioned traditional models are not able to explain this effect.  相似文献

In this paper, an approach to straight and circle track reconstruction is presented, which is suitable for particle trajectories in an homogenous magnetic field (or 0 T) or Cherenkov rings. The method is based on fuzzy c-regression models, where the number of the models stands for the track number. The approximate number of tracks and a rough evaluation of the track parameters given by Hough transform are used to initiate the fuzzy c-regression models. The technique effectively represents a merger between track candidates finding and parameters fitting. The performance of this approach is tested by some simulated data under various scenarios. Results show that this technique is robust and could provide very accurate results efficiently.  相似文献

The disagreement between the experimental and calculated positions of the first convergence zone are known from many publications. The most probable cause for such a disagreement, namely, the incorrect specification of the input data for the calculations, is considered. The lack of simultaneity between the hydrological surveys of the region and the acoustic experiments is emphasized. The experimental data obtained by the author in five ocean regions are presented. These data characterize the diurnal variability of the distance from the source to the nearest boundary of the convergence zone. The relations proposed by different researchers for calculating the sound speed from the temperature, salinity, and hydrostatic pressure are analyzed. It is shown that these relations lead to a substantial difference in the estimated depth dependence of the hydrostatic gradient of the sound speed. The position of the first convergence zone is calculated for the propagation conditions determined by vertical temperature and salinity profiles with the subsequent recalculation of these profiles into sound speed profiles by using eight different formulas known from the literature. It is shown that different formulas lead to different values of the distance to the first zone; this difference is substantially greater than that between the calculations and experiment. The necessity of improving the recalculation relations in view of the experimental data on sound propagation in natural oceanic waveguides, including the data on the actual positions of the convergence zones, is emphasized.  相似文献

On the basis of the classical theory of radiation produced in incomplete Coulomb interaction, a formula is derived for the coefficient of the bremsstrahlung of fully ionized plasma. In the region of rectilinear approximation a comparison is made with the results of the quantum formula derived from the Born approximation. We consider associated production of squarks and gluinos with the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP), or states nearly degenerate in mass with it. Though sub-dominant to pair production of color SU(3)-charged superpartners, these processes are directly sensitive to the wavefunction composition of the lightest neutralinos. Exploiting event-shape variables - including some introduced here for the first time - we are able to identify the composition of the LSP by selecting events involving a single high-pT jet recoiling against missing transverse energy. We illustrate the proposed technique on a set of benchmark cases and propose methods for applying these results in more realistic experimental environments.  相似文献

In this paper we describe experiments conducted with high-power lasers that are attempting to replicate, for a very short time and in miniature, conditions found in the Sun. Experiments to date have reached conditions in the outer part of the Sun. To reach the Sun's centre requires compression of material to very much greater than solid density and heating to over ten million degrees.
