介绍了与此有关的大面积均匀场放电电极的设计以及实验研究结果。无限大平行平板电极两极间的电场分布是均匀的,而现实的问题则是要求在有限的(电极)尺寸条件下实现电场的均匀性设计,因此设计问题转变为放电电极的剖面形状的理论和工程计算问题。根据TEA CO2激光器工作的实际情况,有针对性地选择Chang氏理论作为设计依据。设计的放电电极实验结果证明,TEA CO2激光器在500HZ高重频脉冲条件下能够连续工作10分钟,在55mm放电电极宽和平坦部分为40mm剖面的平行平板两个主放电极之间实现了大面积稳定的均匀场辉光放电。  相似文献

基于对海洋进行快速大面积探测或对潜通讯的需要.开始了对S2分子激光器的研制。S2分子激光器与其它几种激光器相比具有明显的优势.介绍了S2分子的获得方式、S2分子的势能曲线及特点、S2分子光谱特性等。经过反复论证及试验,取得了阶段性研究成果,为横向脉冲快放电小型S2分子激光器的研制及实现激光振荡奠定了坚实的基础。  相似文献

大功率脉冲TEA CO2激光器的放电腔在不同工作气压和不同配气比例条件下对激光器输出能量和电光转换效率均有较大影响,因此,通过充气压力从30kPa到60kPa的改变和配气比例CO2:N2=1:1到CO2:N2=1:4的变化,可以改变激光器的输出能量,提高激光器电光转换效率。实验结果表明:当CO2:N2的配气比例为1:3时,激光器输出的电光转换效率存在最佳点。在最佳配气比例CO2:N2:He=3:9:28,总气压40kPa和注入激励电能保持不变的情况下,激光器单脉冲放电时的输出能量为24.6J;激光器高重复频率放电运转时的电光转换效率达16.4%。激光器的最高放电频率可以达到500Hz并且连续稳定运行工作。  相似文献

 利用紫外预电离横向放电和气体循环结构建立了一套放电激励重复频率HF激光装置。研究了激光器工作介质SF6/C2H6混合气体放电特性和激光输出特性,获得激光器单次运行的最佳输出参数;通过对激光器重复频率运行时不同气体流速、充电电压与气体总压条件下的放电状态和输出能量的比较,分析了激光器重复频率稳定运行的必要条件。结果表明:所研制的激光器最大单脉冲能量0.6 J,峰值功率3 MW,电光转换效率2.4%;当混合气体工作介质以3.5 m/s的流速循环时,激光器稳定运行的最高工作频率可达50 Hz,脉冲输出能量稳定在0.26 J,平均功率达到13 W。  相似文献

在TEA CO2激光器中采用印刷电路板预电离结构,在单节放电体积为5cm×4cm×90cm 的两节串连的激光器中获得了20.4 J单脉冲能量输出,电光转换效率达12.8%.激光器重复频率工作时,气体清洗系数大于3,在最高重复频率180 Hz下获得了3.6 kW平均输出功率.  相似文献

研制了一台用光栅选支,压电驱动改变腔长的连续CO2调频激光器。采用全内腔结构,四电极放电。在腔长为2m、放电长度为1.5m的条件下,获得稳定激光输出。输出激光谱线80条以上,最强单线输出功率50 W,单线调谐宽度70 MHz。  相似文献

本文给出了对高功率横流CO_2激光器脉冲预电离过程的理论和实验研究.表明了预电离过程中光电离的重要作用.实验结果表明,脉冲预电离可增大高功率横流CO_2.激光器的pd值(p为放电气压、d为放电间隔),增大放电区注入功率密度.对于提高此类型激光器的放电稳定性和输出激光功率是一种技术简单而有效的手段.  相似文献

 横向激励大气压(transversely excited atmospheric,TEA)CO2激光器的放电稳定性是决定该类型激光器应用效果的关键因素。通过对采用电感充放电电路的紫外预电离激光器的实验研究,得到了激光器放电动态过程的规律,并发现残余振荡是主放电后发生弧光放电的主要原因。实验中采用不同配比的气体,并对电感充放电电路与改进后的硅堆充放电电路进行了比较。实验结果表明:增加充电电感值可以降低主放电结束后储能电容上的残余电压;而采用硅堆放电电路在主放电后仅有相对幅值很低的稳定残压,两种方案都大幅度抑制了弧光放电的形成,有效地提高了激光单脉冲能量。  相似文献

The possibility to build a high power copper laser using a new type of discharge – heated cathode discharge in the copper vapours continuously evaporated from a melted spot on the anode surface is analysed. From the experimental data on this new discharge type, the equivalent pressure of the copper atoms in the discharge space has been obtained. This pressure can be as high as 1 torr. The density of the power in the discharge volume is evaluated to be more than 1 kW/cm3.  相似文献

Lasing has been obtained in a high pressure (up to 17 atm) gas on Ar I, Xe I, and Kr I transitions. The gas was excited by a transverse discharge with volume preionization by a discharge through a dielectric. New laser lines belonging to Ar I (9123, 9658, 10470, and 11488 Å), Xe I (8232 Å), and Kr I (8929 Å) have been found. The dependences of the spectral and energetic characteristics of the He-Ar laser on the conditions of gas pressure and discharge have been investigated in detail. At high pressures, wide (about 50 HGz) laser lines have been found as well as high power (>105 W) laser lines. Time characteristics of the radiation have been investigated and optimal conditions for the generation power have been defined.  相似文献

This paper presents a complete study of the temporal and spatial characteristics of the preionization of a XeCl rare-gas halide laser. The detailed study was made possible using the technique of laser-induced preionization which utilizes the uv radiation from a KrF laser to preionize a second rare-gas halide laser. In addition to the preionization study, high spatial and temporal resolution framing camera photographs have been used to investigate the growth of discharge instabilities which can lead to the premature termination of the XeCl optical pulse. The roles played by HCl, Xe, the buffer gas as well as the discharge energy loading in the development of discharge instabilities have been determined experimentally.  相似文献

A direct measurement of the electron-density time evolution in the active medium of a self-sustained XeCl laser discharge has been performed by means of the holographic interferometry technique. The time and space resolved behaviour of the discharge seems to confirm that the halogen depletion instability and the hot spots developing in the cathode region are the basic mechanisms which determine the premature termination of the output laser pulse.  相似文献

The small angle scattering of light from a pulsed CO2 laser has been used to measure ion acoustic waves excited in a low density plasma. The laser is a hybrid laser consisting of a high pressure TEA discharge and a low pressure continuous discharge. The scattered light is detected by heterodyning, using laser light as the local oscillator. Two methods of providing the laser light local oscillator have been used. The dependence of the scattered light on the ion acoustic wavelength has been measured. The amplitude of the scattered light compared with the amplitude of the waves in the plasma indicates that the heterodyne mixing efficiency is better than 10 percent.  相似文献

A short pulse (35 ns), high energy X-ray source, driven by a coaxial Blumlein pulser, has been used to preionize a 2.5 × 3 × 30 cm3 active volume XeCl avalanche discharge laser. A maximum output energy of 1 J has been extracted at 0.9% efficiency (including X-ray preionization). Measurements have been performed to investigate the influence of the X-ray pulse timing on laser output and discharge quality.  相似文献

A new magnetic discharge stabilization technique for coaxial laser systems is described. The approach utilizes crosses electric and magnetic fields to create and maintain a large and rapidly rotating plasma volume which does not experience glow-to-arc transitions. Very high cw specific discharge power loadings have been achieved even without the benefit of external gas cooling or circulation.Performance is insensitive to gas composition and pressure such that high power coaxial discharges have been run in CO2 laser gas mixtures up to several hundred torr. Stable cw discharges have also been obtained in mixtures containing several torr of SF6.The technique appears to be readily scalable to give very large excited volumes in systems with comparatively small overall physical dimensions.  相似文献

We have observed narrow line oscillation of an internally pumped cw dye laser at wavelengths which correspond to atomic transitions in the pump laser discharge. At other discharge wavelengths quenched regions in an otherwise broader dye laser output have also been observed. It is believed that the narrow lines correspond to transitions which have gain in the pump laser discharge, while the holes correspond to transition with loss.  相似文献
