设计了一种基于光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)的弯曲靶式流量传感器,采用COMSOL软件仿真了弯曲靶臂受力时的应变分布规律,并将两支FBGs分别粘贴于靶臂的外侧和内侧进行应力测试,仿真与实验结果表明在外力作用下靶臂外侧和内侧分别产生拉应变和压应变,FBGs反射中心波长产生红移和蓝移。同时,测试了该结构的温度特性,在20 ℃~40 ℃两支FBGs反射中心波长均与温度呈线性关系,从而可消除温度对测量结果的影响。随后搭建了弯曲靶式FBG流量传感器测量装置,在0~800 L/H范围内的测量结果表明,两支FBGs反射中心波长与水流量呈较好的线性关系,其流量灵敏度为48 L/H。  相似文献

荧光光纤光栅传感特性的实验研究   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
在载氢掺铒光纤上写入Bragg光纤光栅,得到新型光子学器件-荧光光纤光栅.分别对其Bragg波长(λB)及荧光寿命(τ)的温度(T)及应变(ε)响应特性进行了实验研究,并且给出了λB和τ分别关于(T,ε)的拟合方程.实验结果表明:荧光光纤光栅的λB对T和ε的响应具备一般Bragg光纤光栅的优良特性,测得温度灵敏度为11.1pm /℃,应变灵敏度为1.19pm/με;而且τ对T和ε的响应也具有良好的线性关系,温度灵敏度为0.59 μs/℃,应变灵敏度为6.16 ns/με.实验结论为解决温度应力交叉敏感、实现温度应力的同时监测提供一条新颖的途径.  相似文献

A Bragg grating in a photonic crystal fiber was written and its dependence with temperature and strain analyzed. The two observed Bragg wavelengths correspond to a fundamental and a higher-order mode in the optical fiber. The temperature and strain calibration curves for both modes are measured and found to be distinct. The general properties of gratings in these fibers, and their implications, are enunciated.  相似文献

We report an all-fiber actively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser, where the linear laser cavity mirrors are composed of two fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). The laser oscillation wavelength could be tuned by this pair of temperature controlled FBGs. The Q-switching is achieved by an all-fiber phase modulation device. Using this system, we could obtain stable Q-switched laser pulses output, which could be optimized by tuning the reflection wavelengths of the two FBGs to be adjacent to each other. Instead of being modulated by the FBG filter in high-speed oscillation, this fiber laser system is operating in the Q-switched regime using an all-fiber phase modulator, producing a more stable laser output spectrum.  相似文献

光纤布拉格光栅在通信和传感领域具有广泛的应用。利用光纤布拉格光栅中心波长的偏移,可以测量温度和应变等多种物理量,但必须解决光栅对温度和应变的交叉敏感问题。该文简要分析了光纤光栅作为传感器的基本原理及其优点,设计了利用参考光栅法分离温度影响以及利用掺铒光纤的自发发射放大特性分离温度影响的2种应变测量方法。最后,介绍了一种利用倾斜光纤光栅的主模和边模对布拉格光栅中心波长的偏移进行解调的方法,该方法成功地分离了温度对应变测量的影响。  相似文献

A reflectometric method for the combined time-wavelength multiplexing of the fiber-Bragg-grating (FBG) signals is proposed. The method is based on the spectral filtering of the probe pulses generated by a fiber-optic reflectometer using a bandpass filter consisting of a fiber circulator and FBG. The interrogated Bragg gratings are recorded on a fiber line in groups with identical resonance wavelengths inside groups and different wavelengths from different groups. The separation of the signals of FBGs that have different resonance wavelengths is due to the tuning of the filter passband, and the separation of the signals of FBGs with identical wavelengths involves the time separation of the responses of the Bragg gratings to the probe pulse. The threshold sensitivity of the method in the measurement of the relative elongation of FBG is 0.5 × 10?4. The considerable practical prospects of the method are related to its simplicity, reliability, and the application of the conventional reflectometric equipment.  相似文献

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a simple and practical scheme for simultaneous measurement of bending and temperature based on a single sampled chirped fiber Bragg grating with multiple resonant peaks, which is embedded on a flexible cantilever beam. The wavelength spacing of the grating can be changed by adjusting the bending curvature change, since the compressive strain gradient induced by the bending of the cantilever beam changes the chirp ratio of the fiber grating. However, the wavelength spacing of the fiber grating is not changed by the temperature variation; the multiple resonant wavelengths are only shifted into the longer wavelength because of the positive thermal-expansion and thermo-optic coefficients of the fiber grating. Consequently, the proposed scheme allows for discrimination between two effects of bending and temperature.  相似文献

A novel actively mode-locked multi-wavelength tunable fiber laser with equally increased or decreased wavelength spacing is presented. It is constructed using a double-ring cavity combined with an amplitude modulator and cascaded fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). The cavity lengths for all FBGs are intrinsically identical due to the double-ring configuration, and simultaneous mode locking of multiple wavelengths is therefore achieved by applying only one mode-locking signal to the modulator. The FBGs are mounted on a organic plate with angles between adjacent gratings such that the forces applied to the FBGs have an equal force increment; thus, stretching or compressing the cascaded FBGs can achieve a wavelength tuning with equally increased or decreased wavelength spacing.This revised version was published online in March 2005. In this paper, the Yb-doped superfluorescent fiber source (SFS) with cascaded broad fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are reported. The spectral properties of this SFS with cascaded broad FBGs are described and compared with that without cascaded broad FBGs. The experimental results have shown that cascaded broad FBGs can increase the output of some special wave bands.  相似文献

解决应变和温度的交叉敏感,实现应变和温度同时测量一直是光纤光栅传感器研究的关键问题。从应变和温度交叉敏感的物理机制出发,较为全面地介绍了几种主要解决方案:双波长矩阵法、2个包层直径不同的FBG法、啁啾光栅法等。并且基于双波长矩阵法,提出了一种基于管式弹性应变敏感元件的光纤光栅传感器结构,很好地实现了温度150℃,压力20MPa的同时区分测量,其温度灵敏度为0.02nm/℃。解决了温度和应变同时区分测量这一技术难题。  相似文献

A novel method for fabricating dual-wavelength fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) by using one phase mask is developed. The method is based on a double-exposure technique. Our technique lends itself to writing gratings with controllable reflectivity and separation of two Bragg wavelengths. A grating with two equal transmission peaks of 20.25 dB is obtained by this method and the separation of the two Bragg wavelengths is about 0.8 nm. With the grating, we demonstrate a dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber ring laser whose interval of the two peaks is 0.8 nm. The laser's peak powers can get 3.1 mW above and have a good stability.  相似文献

The effect of irradiation on the strain sensitivity coefficient of strain sensing fiber Bragg gratings(FBGs) has been investigated through experiments. FBGs were fabricated in single mode fibers with 3 mol% Ge-concentration in the core and with a H2-loading treatment. In experiments, the FBGs were subjected to γ-radiation exposures using a Co60 source at a dose-rate of 25 Gy/min up to a total dose of 10.5 kGy. The GeO defect in fiber absorbs photons to form a GeE’ defect; the interaction with H2 is a probable reason for the γ-radiation sensitivity of gratings written in hydrogen loaded fibres. The effect mechanism of radiation on the strain sensitivity coefficient is similar to that of radiation on the temperature sensitivity coefficient. Radiation affects the effective index neff, which results in the change of the thermo-optic coefficient and the strain-optic coefficient. Irradiation can change the strain sensitivity coefficient of FBGs by 1.48%–2.71%, as well as changing the Bragg wavelength shift(BWS) by 22 pm–25 pm under a total dose of 10.5 kGy. Our research demonstrates that the effect of irradiation on the strain sensitivity coefficient of FBG is small and that strain sensing FBGs can work well in the radiation environment.  相似文献

A novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor system for measurement of strain and temperature is proposed in this paper. The proposed sensor technique is based on time-division multiplexing (TDM). A semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA), connected in a ring cavity, is used to serve as a gain medium and switch. The SOA is driven by a pulse generator, which operates the SOA at different periods of time to select reflected pulses from a particular sensor. The FBG sensors have identical center wavelengths and can be deployed along the same fiber. This technique relieves the spectral bandwidth issue and permits the interrogation of up to 100 FBGs along a fiber, if the reflectivity of the individual sensors is sufficiently low to avoid shadowing effects. This system is particularly suitable for the application in structural health monitoring (SHM) where large numbers of sensors are required in wide measurement ranges.  相似文献

本文对温度和轴向应变对长周期光纤光栅和Bragg光纤光栅耦合波长的影响机制作出分析,通过有代表性的举例计算数值给出了各因素对耦合波长的影响,指出轴向应变对耦合波长的影响除了来自光弹性效应带来的光纤折射率的改变外,光纤半径的变化,特别是光栅周期的改变也起重要作用.对比分析找到了长周期光纤光栅与Bragg光纤光栅温度,应变响应系数数量级异同的原因.  相似文献

By integration of a bidirectional erbium-doped fiber amplifier and a three-port optical circulator with several fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs), two gain-flattened optical limiting amplifier (OLA) modules are proposed and experimentally demonstrated. They rely on the use of central wavelength misalignment and bending loss methods, respectively. They can effectively cover the whole useful 1.55-mum band. Both modules can provide gain-flattening characteristics over a large input dynamic range. The FBGs integrated OLA configuration has potential application in wavelength division multiplexing lightwave communication systems.  相似文献

A highly photosensitive Sb/Er/Ge-codoped silica fiber for fabricating fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) with strong high-temperature sustainability is presented. The photosensitivity and the high-temperature sustainability of FBGs created in this fiber are examined and compared with those produced in a Sn-doped silica fiber. The results show that the Sb/Er/Ge fiber has a much higher level of photosensitivity than the Sn-doped silica fiber and that the FBGs have a similar high-temperature sustainability of 800 degrees C. The strong fluorescence properties observed from this fiber are also examined.  相似文献

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a triple-wavelength fiber ring laser using a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) in conjunction with a series of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). The three channels operate at 1554.4, 1555.3, and 1556.1 nm with a peak power above ?25 dBm and optical signal-to-noise (OSNR) above 30 dB at SOA drive current of 350 mA under the room temperature. The proposed laser configuration has the advantages of a simple and compact structure, multi-wavelength operation and the system can be upgraded to generate more wavelengths by increasing the number of FBG used.  相似文献
