It is sponsored by the Institute of High Energy Physics and assisted by the Institute of Modern Physics,the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is a monthly journal,96 pages each issue,distributed both at home and abroad. 　　This journal publishes research papers on theories,experiments and applications in particle physics,nuclear physics,cosmic ray physics,accelerators,synchrotron radiation and other related fields in Chinese with English abstracts. It really reflects the current level of our country in these fields,is of benefit to development of science and talented young people,and promotes the academic exchange with foreign countries. It contains a special column called “Letters”(in English) carrying short reports on the latest important scientific results,published fast in about 6 months. Prior and rapid publication is given to the breakthrough researches,especially supported by State Projects and National Natural Science Foundation. In general,articles adopted can be published within period of about one year and belong to those published faster in same kind of Chinese journals. 　　On the editorial board,there are near fifty distinguished scholars,including 10 Fellows of Chinese Academy of Sciences and of Chinese Academy of Engineering. Based on close ties with authors,they are responsible to organize, examine and approve the papers to be published, ensuring content quality of the journal. There are also experienced professionals in editorial field working hard to keep the high level of the journal in technical aspects. The articles carried in this journal have been widely quoted at home in terms of frequency,and quite a number of them have won national awards or prizes of provincial and ministerial level. The journal has become one of the leading journals regarding physics and nuclear energy in our country. This journal has being indexed by all authorized indexing systems in China and by main international indexing systems abroad such as SCI(CC),EI(page one) and CA in US,SA in UK and Japanese JICST. The journal had been cited by the Chinese Academy of Sciences as an excellent journal continuously in 1990,1992 and 1996. It was also chosen as a National Excellent Journal and awarded Second Prize twice during the appraisals of national journals sponsored by the State Science and Technology Commission continuously in 1992 and 1997. 文章对21世纪太空物理学的发展趋势及其与物理学交叉的特点作了论述，主要内容包括：（1）太空物理学的地位和作用；（2）21世纪太空物理学的发展趋势和前沿问题；（3）物理学与太空物理学交叉的特点（包括太空物理探测与物理学的交叉，太空物理与等离子体物理的交叉，太空物理与高能物理的交叉，太空开发利用与物理学的交叉）。
