A new tracking error detection method using amplitude difference detection for signal waveform modulation multi-level discs 下载免费PDF全文
The sub-land/sub-pit affects the characteristic of the tracking error signal which is generated by the conventional differential phase detection (DPD) method in the signal waveform modulation multi-level (SWML) read-only disc. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new tracking error detection method using amplitude difference. Based on the diffraction theory, the amplitude difference is proportional to the tracking error and is feasible to be used for obtaining the off-track information. The experimental system of the amplitude difference detection method is developed. The experimental results show that the tracking error signal derived from the new method has better performance in uniformity and signal-to-noise ratio than that derived from the conventional DPD method in the SWML read-only disc. 相似文献

An innovative multilevel read-only recording method is proposed. In this method, a short pit/land is deliberately inserted to the original land/pit. This modifies the wave-shape of readout signM. Taking the wave-shape as the symbol of level detection, a signal wave-shape modulation (SWSM) multilevel method is realized. This method is carried out and validated on the DVD read-only manufacture and readout system. A capacity of 15 GB can be expected, and a bit error rate of 10-4 is achieved. The capacity can meet the demand of high definition movie publication. This method also provides a potential multi-level solution for other storage formats and systems. 相似文献

When the techniques of integrating the variation of the conventional DVD,the high-density multilevel run-length pit depth and width simultaneously are adopted to limited read-only optical storage method is achieved. The dynamic range of readout signal is greatly enlarged in comparison with keeping one parameter varied, and the recording levels number can be obviously increased. The discs can be manufactured using standard photoresist mastering and replication techniques with great compatibility to conventional binary read-only discs. Experimental results show that eight-level read-only optical disc can be realized and the capacity can be increased to 20 GB. 相似文献

基于衍射理论 ,采用更接近光盘实际情况的椭圆型信息符模型并利用光盘的线性叠加原理得到光盘衍射模型的解析表达式 ,对三种主流盘片的盘片倾斜对循迹系统产生的影响进行定量的计算与分析。采用差动相位方式循轨的DVD ROM盘片随径向倾斜的偏移系数为 0 .0 6 μm/(°)。采用推挽方式循轨的DVD RAM盘片循轨误差随径向倾斜的偏移系数为 0 .15 μm/(°)。在相同的盘片参量情况下 ,差动相位检测方法获得循迹误差比推挽方法受盘片径向倾斜的影响更小 ,在读取过程中差动相位检测方法可以获得更好的伺服精度。分析了DVD RAM盘片预刻槽深度与循规误差信号受径向倾斜影响偏移量的关系。实验结果较好的验证了计算和结论。 相似文献

Multi-level run-length-limited read-only optical storage is a kind of high density storage method. The width and height of recording marks are varied with different levels, which is the key technology for the optical storage. Then the readout signal of these discs with complex recording marks is computed by vector analysis method, it is very hard and time-consuming. We conducted a numerical calculation for the point spread function and the variation of the read-out signal in optical disc systems using several apodizing filters, taking into account a spherical aberration and the variation in the bump shape. Based on calculations using the scalar diffraction theory, we are able to determine the best bump size and shape giving the maximum read-out signal for each incident beam modulated by an apodizing filter. This work facilitates the fabrication of high density optical disc systems with a spherical aberration and can then be applied to a real optical disc system like a commercial digital video disc (DVD) system. 相似文献

In this paper,we propose a dynamic mastering process model for signal waveform modulation (SWM) optical disc.To form the ideal microstructures and solve the problems in the SWM master manufacturing process,we use this model to simulate the three-dimensional mark profiles in the SWM read-only disc.The simulated micro-patterns of recording pits and lands are employed to optimize the writing strategy and provide a quantitative basis for manufacturing the sub-pits and sub-lands.The simulation mark profiles are compared with the experimental ones,which are produced with the optimized writing strategy parameters.Comparison results demonstrate that the simulated profiles are highly consistent with the actual ones. 相似文献

We propose a novel signal processing technique by which we can increase the effective signal to noise ratio of optical discs. This technique is capable of reducing the influence of random noise even when the playback signal contains a distortion. We apply this signal processing technique to single carrier independent pit edge recording optical disc system. When a linear recording density of 0.2 μm/bit and a track pitch of 0.8 μm for an optical pickup is used in a DVD pickup (γ =635 nm, NA=0.6), the experimental results show that the system can obtain tangential and radial skew margins of ±0.5° and ±0.75°, respectively. From the experimental results, we estimate that the proposed method is capable of increasing the capacity of DVD by a factor of about 1.2. 相似文献

In this paper, we describe an improved adaptive partial response maximum likelihood (PRML) method combining modulation code tbr signal waveform modulation multi-level disc. This improved adaptive PRML method employs partial response equalizer and adaptive viterbi detector combining modulation code. Compared with the traditional adaptive PRML detector, the improved PRML detector additionally employs illogical sequence detector and corrector. Illogical sequence detector and corrector can aw)id the appearance of illogical sequences effectively, which do not follow the law of modulation code for signal waveform modulation multi-level disc, and obtain the correct sequences. We implement the improved PRML detector using a DSP and an FPGA chip. The experimental results show good performance. The higher efficient and lower complexity can be obtained by using the improved PRML method than by using the previous PRML method. Meanwhile, resource utilization of the improved PRML detector is not changed, but the bit error rate (BER) is reduced by more than 20%. 相似文献

In an error detection optical system for optical pick-ups using a parallel plane type half mirror, influence on the differential phase detection (DPD) signal by a coma aberration was simulated. The coma aberration deforms the spot profile on the photodetector and influences the DPD signal level characteristics and the offset characteristics with respect to the objective lens shift. In the 4-segment-type DPD, the coma aberration caused by a half mirror 2.75 mm thick hardly affects the DPD signal if the photodetector is not misaligned. On the other hand, the 2-segment-type DPD has a small offset variation with respect to the objective lens shift and a large variation of the DPD signal level against the misalignment of the photodetector in comparison with the 4-segment-type DPD when there is no coma aberration. In the presence of a coma aberration, however, these variations of the 2-segment-type DPD are suppressed by choosing a pair of elements without the coma apex part of the spot. 相似文献

Sb-Bi alloy flms are proposed as a new kind of super-resolution mask layer with low readout threshold power. Using the Sb-Bi alloy film as a mask layer and SiN as a protective layer in a read-only memory disc, the superresolution pits with diameters of 380 nm are read out by a dynamic setup, the laser wavelength is 780 nm and the numerical aperture of pickup lens is 0.45. The effects of the Sb-Bi thin film thickness, laser readout power and disc rotating velocity on the readout signal are investigated. The results show that the threshold laser power of super-resolution readout of the Sb-Bi mask layer is about 0.5 m W, and the corresponding carrier-to-noise ratio is about 20 dB at the film thickness of 50nm. The super-resolution mechanism of the Sb-Bi alloy mask layer is discussed based on its temperature dependence of reflection. 相似文献

A novel read-only super-resolution optical disc structure (substrate/mask layer/dielectric layer) is proposed in this paper. By using a Si thin film as the mask layer, the recording pits with a diameter 380nm and a depth 50nm are read out on the dynamic measuring equipment; the laser wavelength α is 632.8nm and the numerical aperture is 0.40. 针对新一代全球导航卫星系统(GNSS)中多级电平编码符号(MCS)信号存在的跟踪模糊问题,本文提出了一种通用的MCS信号无模糊跟踪方法.首先推导了不同MCS信号互相关函数的统一表达式,并给出了伪相关函数的定义;然后深入分析了实现无模糊跟踪需要满足的约束条件,推导了两路参考信号的通用构造方法以及相互之间的关系,为具体MCS信号的求解提供了极大的便利;进而给出了利用本文方法的GNSS接收机码跟踪环路模型.作为MCS信号的特例,分别讨论了本文方法在四种二进制偏移载波信号跟踪中的应用.仿真结果表明,本文方法能够有效解决MCS信号的跟踪模糊问题,具有良好的性能和广阔的应用前景. 相似文献
