Relativistic heavy-ion collisions can produce extremely strong magnetic fields in the collision regions. The spatial variation features of the magnetic fields are analyzed in detail for non-central Pb–Pb collisions at LHC at√s NN = 900, 2760 and 7000 Ge V and Au–Au collisions at RHIC at√s NN=62.4, 130 and 200 Ge V. The dependencies of magnetic field on proper time, collision energies and impact parameters are investigated in this paper. It is shown that an enormous and highly inhomogeneous spatial distribution magnetic field can indeed be created in off-centre relativistic heavy-ion collisions in RHIC and LHC energy regions. The enormous magnetic field is produced just after the collision, and the magnitude of magnetic field of the LHC energy region is larger than that of the RHIC energy region at small proper time. It is found that the magnetic field in the LHC energy region decreases more quickly with the increase of proper time than that of the RHIC energy region.  相似文献

The heavy fragments in heavy-ion collisions are finally formed after the hot prefragments undergo sequential decay,of whom the temperature should be much lower than that of prefragments.Using the double ratio(DR) method, the isotopic thermometer(Tiso) for heavy fragment is constructed using the yield of heavy isotopes.T iso of heavy fragment is obtained by analyzing the measured data in the 1A GeV124,136Xe and 140A MeV 48Ca/64Ni reactions.Result shows that T iso varies from 0.5 MeV to 10 MeV.But most T iso is around 1±0.5 MeV,which is much lower than temperature of light particles.Result also indicates that the difference between T iso of heavy fragments in different reactions is very small, and T iso is independent on the size of the reaction system, the incident energy and the neutron-richness of the projectile.  相似文献

The isoscaling behavior in the reaction system of 58,64Ni + 9Be has been studied by using the heavy-ion phase-space exploration(HIPSE) model. The extracted isoscaling parameters α and β for both heavy and light fragments for HIPSE model calculations are in good agreement with recent experimental data. The investigation shows that the parameters in the HIPSE model have some effect on the isoscaling parameter. The isoscaling parameters for hot and cold fragments have been extracted.  相似文献

Within the framework of the improved isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics (ImIQMD) model, pion emission in heavy-ion collisions in the region 1 A GeV is investigated systematically, in which the pion is considered to be mainly produced by the decay of resonances △(1232) and N^*(1440). The in-medium dependence and Coulomb effects of pion production are included in the calculation. Total pion multiplicity and π^-/π^+ yields are calculated for the reaction ^197Au+^197Au in central collisions for selected Skyrme parameters SkP, SLy6, Ska, SⅢ and compared with the measured data of the FOPI collaboration.  相似文献

The in-medium NN→N△ cross sections and its differential cross sections in isospin asymmetric nuclear medium are investigated in the framework of the one-boson exchange model by including isovector mesons, i.e., δand p mesons. Our results show that the in-medium NN→N△ cross sections are suppressed when the density increases, and the differential cross sections become isotropic with an increase in the density around the △ threshold energy. The isospin splitting on the medium correction factor, R =σ_(NN→N△)~*/σ_(NN→N△)~(free) is observed for different channels of NN→N△, especially around the threshold energy for all the effective Lagrangian parameters. By analyzing the selected effective Lagrangian parameters, our results show that the larger effective mass is, the weaker medium correction R is.  相似文献

Complementary to the conventional experimental studies on N* from πN and γ(*)N reactions, the e+e-, pp and pp collisions can give novel insights into these N* resonances. While the e+e- collisions through production and decay of vector charmonium ψ provide a nice isospin filter for a simultaneously study of N*, △*, ∧*, ∑* and 2*, the pp collisions should be the best place for producing those △*++ with large coupling to p+p though pp →nA*++ reaction, and the pp collisions should be the best place for looking for those N* with large coupling to σN.  相似文献

We present Φ meson production in Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions measured by the STAR experiment at RHIC.The hadronic decay mode Φ→K~+K~- is used in the analysis. The yields for Φ meson in Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions at a given beam energy are scaled by the number of participant. The N_(part) normalized Φ meson yields in heavy ion collisions over those from p+p collisions are larger than 1 and increase with collision energy. These results suggest that the source of enhancement of strange hadrons is related to the formation of a dense medium in high energy heavy ion collisions and can not be only due to canonical suppression of their production in smaller systems. We also present STAR results on the Φ meson elliptic flow υ_2 from 2~(1/SNN)=200 GeV Cu+Cu at RHIC.The elliptic flow in Cu+Cu system that has the similar relative magnitude and qualitative features as that in Au+Au system. The observations imply the hot and dense matter with partonic collectivity has been formed in heavy ion collisions at RHIC.However, eccentrality normalized υ_2,υ_2/(n_qε_(part)) is lower for Cu+Cu than for Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV.So this might indicate thermalization has not been reached in 200 GeV Cu+Cu collisions.  相似文献

The energy-, density-, and isospin-dependent ?-formation cross section σ_(Nπ→?)~* and ?-decay width are calculated based on the relativistic BUU approach in which the effective mass splitting of nucleon and ? baryons in isospin-asymmetric matter is considered by the inclusion of the δ meson exchange in the effective Lagrangian density and the density-dependent coupling constants of Hofmann et al. The results show that the σ_(Nπ→?)~* is decreased(increased) moderately with increasing density with(without)the consideration of medium modifications on pion mass. Meanwhile, if the invariant mass of the system is not far from the ?pole mass, the ?-decay width is also weakly dependent on density. The mass splitting effect of differently charged nucleon and ?baryons on σ_(Nπ→?)~* is found to be more obvious than that of pion mesons but much weaker than the mass splitting in the hard ?production channel NN → N?. Further, the largest mass-splitting influence is seen in the π~-p → ?~0 and π~+n → ?~+ channels but not in the production of ?~- and ?~(++) isobars.  相似文献

Spin alignments of vector mesons and hyperons in relativistic heavy-ion collisions have been proposed as signals of global polarization. The STAR experiment first observed the ∧ polarization.Recently, the ALICE collaboration measured the transverse momentum {PT) and the collision centrality dependence of K*,and Φ spin alignments during Pb-Pb collisions at ~(1/2)sNN=2.76 TeV.A large signal is observed in the low pT region of mid-central collisions for K~*,while the signal is much smaller for Φ,and these have not been understood yet.Since vector mesons have different lifetimes and their decay products have different scattering cross sections, they suffer from different hadronic effects. In this paper,we study the effect of hadronic interactions on the spin alignment of K~*,Φ,and p mesons in relativistic heavy-ion collisions with a multi-phase transport model. We find that hadronic scatterings lead to a deviation of the observed spin alignment matrix element p00 away from the true value for p and K*mesons(with a bigger effect on p) while the effect is negligible for the Φ meson. The effect depends on the kinematic acceptance:the observed p00 value is lower than the true value when the pseudorapidity(η) coverage is small, while there is little effect when the η coverage is large.Hence, this study provides valuable information to understand the vector meson spin alignment signals observed during the experiments.  相似文献

The reactions induced by heavy ions lower than 10 MeV/u have been studied widely. Their reaction mechanism has been also understood in more detail. The contribution to the reaction cross sections in the low energy reactions comes mainly from complex nuclei and deep inelastic process. Early studies mainly focused on the nuclear collisions of low and high energies. In the recent years, great attention has been paid on the intermediate energy heavy ion collisions. Among them measurements of the cross sections and recoiling properties for the target fragmentation products have been applied widely to study the mechanism of the nuclear reactions induced by the intermediate energy heavy ions. But there are a few papers on raodioehemieal studies in the intermediate energy region up to now.  相似文献

Within an isospin and momentum dependent transport model, the dynamics of isospin particles(nucleons and light clusters) in Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions are investigated for constraining the isospin splitting of nucleon effective mass and the symmetry energy at subsaturation densities. The impacts of the isoscalar and isovector parts of the momentum dependent interaction on the emissions of isospin particles are explored, i.e., the mass splittings of m_n~*=m_p~* and m_n~* m_p~*(m_n~* m_p~*). The single and double neutron to proton ratios of free nucleons and light particles are thoroughly investigated in the isotopic nuclear reactions of ~(112)Sn+~(112)Sn and ~(124)Sn+~(124)Sn at incident energies of 50 and 120 MeV/nucleon, respectively. It is found that both the effective mass splitting and symmetry energy impact the kinetic energy spectra of the single ratios, in particular at the high energy tail(larger than 20 Me V). The isospin splitting of nucleon effective mass slightly impacts the double ratio spectra at the energy of 50 MeV/nucleon. A soft symmetry energy with stiffness coefficient of γ_s =0.5 is constrained from the experimental data with the Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions.  相似文献

Single-electron detachment (SED) cross sections for Cr^- and Ti^- in collision with N2 have been obtained in the energy region of 10-30keV, for the first time to our knowledge. In the present energy range, the magnitude of the Cr^- N2 and Fe^- N2 SED cross sections is larger than that of Cu^- N2. It is also found that the cross sections for Cr^- and Ti^- in collisions with N2 exhibit different dependences on anion impact velocity from that of Cu^-.  相似文献

Within the transport model IBUU04, we investigate the double neutron/proton ratio of free nucleons taken from two reaction systems using two Sn isotopes at a beam energy of 50 MeV/nucleon and with impact parameters 2fm, 4fm and 8fm, respectively. It is found that the double neutron/proton ratio from peripheral collisions is more sensitive to the density dependence of the symmetry energy than those from mid-central and central collisions.  相似文献

A two-pion correlation function at small relative momentum for pion sources with transverse and longitudinal expansions in relativistic heavy ion collisions is obtained using two-pion interferometry at small relative momentum, and the relations between the real and apparent parameters of the pion source are given. The relations can be used to extract both the temperature and the transverse and longitudinal expansion velocities of pion sources and to verify the correctness of relativistic transformation T′=T\sqrt {1-v^2} of temperature in relativistic statistical mechanics and thermodynamics.  相似文献

The contribution of the two parton production process into lepton pairs in Au Au collisions is calculated. Lepton pair production with the direct single photon process and the resolved single photon process are introduced. We believe that the photon processes are significant. The complete processes at large transverse momentum are included, and moreover, the effect of shadowing and isospin of nucleus are also considered in heavy ion collisions. Dilepton signals to regard the background of QGP have a good correction.  相似文献

Hard photon emitted from energetic heavy ion collisions is of very interesting since it does not experience the late-stage nuclear interaction, therefore it is useful to explore the early-stage information of matter phase. In this work, we have calculated the impact parameter and beam energy dependence for azimuthal asymmetry, characterized by directed transverse flow parameter F and elliptic asymmetry coefficient v2, of direct photons and the corresponding free protons in intermediate energy heavy-ion collisions. It is further shown the anti-correlated azimuthal asymmetry between direct photons and free protons.  相似文献

Multinucleon transfer processes in low-energy heavy ion collisions open a new field of research in nuclear physics, namely, production and studying properties of heavy neutron rich nuclei. This not-yet-explored area of the nuclear map is extremely important for understanding the astrophysical nucleosynthesis and the origin of heavy elements. Beams of very heavy U-like ions are needed to produce new long-living isotopes of transfermium and superheavy elements located very close to the island of stability. The calculated cross sections are high enough to perform the experiments at available accelerators.Beams of medium-mass ions (such as 136Xe, 192Os, 198Pt) can be used for the production of neutron rich nuclei located along the neutron closed shell N = 126 (the last waiting point) having the largest impact on the astrophysical r-process. The Low-energy multinucleon transfer reactions is a very efficient tool also for the production and spectroscopic study of light exotic nuclei. The corresponding cross sections are 2 or 3 orders of magnitude larger as compared with high energy fragmentation reactions.  相似文献

The transverse anisotropy of particle emission at AGS energies is investigated within the RQMD model. It is found that the azimuthal correlations between directed and elliptic flow are sensitive to the incident energy and impact parameter. The fluctuations in the  相似文献

We systematically study different production sources of light nuclei in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions with a new method, an exclusive quark combination model + an inclusive hadron recombination model. We take deuterons and ~3 He produced in Pb-Pb collisions at ■= 2.76 TeV as examples to show the contribution of different production sources by studying their rapidity densities dN/dy, yield ratios and transverse momentum(PT)spectra just after hadronization and at the final kinetic freeze-out. We find that about a half of d and a fourth of ~3 He created just after hadronization can survive after the hadronic evolution process. Nucleons from A resonance decays make a much larger contribution to the regeneration of light nuclei at the hadronic phase stage, and this contribution is about 77% and 90% for d and ~3 He, respectively, calculated at the final kinetic freeze-out. In addition, we give an explanation for the constant behaviors of yield ratios d/p and ~3 He/p as a function of the averaged charged multiplicity in Pb-Pb collisions and also provide a possible explanation for the observation that d/p in Pb-Pb collisions is larger by a factor of about two than in pp collisions at LHC energies.  相似文献
