On the stability of the solution mapping for parametric traffic network problems

In this paper, we introduce the parametric traffic network problems. Afterward, a key hypothesis is introduced by virtue of a parametric gap function to considered problems, and we prove that this hypothesis is not only sufficient but also necessary for the Hausdorff lower semicontinuity and Hausdorff continuity of the solution mapping for parametric traffic network problems.     

Lower Semicontinuity for Parametric Weak Vector Variational Inequalities in Reflexive Banach Spaces

In this paper, a key assumption similar to that of Li and Chen is introduced by virtue of a gap function for a class of parametric set-valued weak vector variational inequalities in Banach spaces. By using this key assumption, sufficient and necessary conditions of the continuity and Hausdorff continuity of the solution set mapping for such parametric set-valued weak vector variational inequalities are given in Banach spaces when the image space is infinite dimensional. The results presented in this paper generalize and improve some main results of Li and Chen.     

The Hölder continuity of solutions to generalized vector equilibrium problems

In this paper, by using a weaker assumption, we discuss the Hölder continuity of solution maps for two cases of parametric generalized vector equilibrium problems under the case that the solution map is a general set-valued one, but not a single-valued one. These results extend the recent ones in the literature. Several examples are given for the illustration of our results.     

Hölder continuity and upper estimates of solutions to vector quasiequilibrium problems

In this paper, we establish the Hölder continuity of solution mappings to parametric vector quasiequilibrium problems in metric spaces under the case that solution mappings are set-valued. Our main assumptions are weaker than those in the literature, and the results extend and improve the recent ones. Furthermore, as an application of Hölder continuity, we derive upper bounds for the distance between an approximate solution and a solution set of a vector quasiequilibrium problem with fixed parameters.     

A degree-theoretic approach to parametric nonsmooth equations with multivalued perturbed solution sets

This paper studies the sensitivity of a parametric nonsmooth equation using degree theory and set-valued analysis. Under the assumption of existence of an approximating function of a certain kind, we investigate the existence, continuity, and differentiability of the set-valued solutions of the parametric equation. Our analysis is a synthesis of the work of several authors (King and Rockafellar, 1992; Gowda and Pang, 1991; Robinson, 1991). Applications of the derived results to the convergence of Newton's method and to the sensitivity analysis of parametric complementarity problems and variational inequalities will be discussed.This paper is dedicated to Phil Wolfe on the occasion of his 65th birthday.This work was based on research supported by the National Science Foundation under grant DDM-9104078.     

Hölder Continuity for Solution Mappings of Parametric Non-convex Strong Generalized Ky Fan Inequalities

Abstract

This article focuses on a new approach to investigate the Hölder continuity for the solution mapping of a parametric non-convex strong generalized Ky Fan inequality. Based on a non-convex separation theorem, the union relation between the solution set of the parametric non-convex strong generalized Ky Fan inequality and the solution sets of a series of Ky Fan inequalities, is established. Without density results and any information on the solution mapping, a sufficient condition for the Hölder continuity of the solution mapping to the parametric non-convex strong generalized Ky Fan inequality is given by using the key union relation. Our method does not impose any convexity, monotonicity, and the single-valuedness of the solution mapping.     

Continuity of solution mappings in some parametric non-weak vector Ky Fan inequalities

This paper gives sufficient conditions for the continuity of the solution mappings of parametric non-weak vector Ky Fan inequality problems with moving cones. The main results of the paper are new and are obtained under an assumption different from the known density hypothesis. They are written in terms of nonlinear scalarization functions associated to the data of the problems under consideration. Verifiable conditions are given, and examples are provided.

研究了Hausdorff拓扑向量空间中的一类参数广义弱向量拟平衡问题(PGWVQEP)的稳定性.首先，给出了此问题的参数间隙函数，研究了参数间隙函数的连续性.然后, 提出了一个与参数间隙函数相关的关键假设，讨论了它的连续性，并给出关键假设的等价刻画.最后， 借助于假设，获得了PGWVQEP解映射Hausdorff半连续的充分必要条件.并举例验证了所得结果.     

Hölder Continuity of Solutions to Parametric Vector Equilibrium Problems with Nonlinear Scalarization

In this article, using the nonlinear scalarization approach by virtue of the nonlinear scalarization function, commonly known as the Gerstewitz function in the theory of vector optimization, Hölder continuity of solution mappings for both set-valued and single-valued cases to parametric vector equilibrium problems is studied. The nonlinear scalarization function is a powerful tool that plays a key role in the proofs, and its main properties (such as sublinearity, continuity, convexity) are fully employed. Especially, its locally and globally Lipschitz properties are provided and the Lipschitz property is first exploited to investigate the Hölder continuity of solutions.     

非线性参数规划问题$\varepsilon$-最优解集集值映射的连续性

对非线性参数规划问题$\varepsilon$-最优解集集值映射的连续性条件进行了研究.首先在可行集集值映射局部有界且正则的条件下,讨论了非线性参数规划问题最优值函数的连续性,然后针对$\varepsilon$-最优解集集值映射的结构特征并利用此结果和集值分析理论,给出了非线性参数规划问题$\varepsilon$-最优解集集值映射连续的一个充分条件.     

Continuity of approximate solution mappings for parametric equilibrium problems

In this paper, we obtain sufficient conditions for Hausdorff continuity and Berge continuity of an approximate solution mapping for a parametric scalar equilibrium problem. By using a scalarization method, we also discuss the Berge lower semicontinuity and Berge continuity of a approximate solution mapping for a parametric vector equilibrium problem.     

Gap functions for constrained vector variational inequalities with applications

In this paper, the image space analysis is applied to investigate scalar-valued gap functions and their applications for a (parametric)-constrained vector variational inequality. Firstly, using a non-linear regular weak separation function in image space, a gap function of a constrained vector variational inequality is obtained without any assumptions. Then, as an application of the gap function, two error bounds for the constrained vector variational inequality are derived by means of the gap function under some mild assumptions. Further, a parametric gap function of a parametric constrained vector variational inequality is presented. As an application of the parametric gap function, a sufficient condition for the continuity of the solution map of the parametric constrained vector variational inequality is established within the continuity and strict convexity of the parametric gap function. These assumptions do not include any information on the solution set of the parametric constrained vector variational inequality.

Stability for Parametric Vector Quasi-Equilibrium Problems With Variable Cones

This article is devoted to the study of stability conditions for a class of quasi-equilibrium problems with variable cones in normed spaces. We introduce concepts of upper and lower semicontinuity of vector-valued mappings involving variable cones and their properties, we also propose a key hypothesis. Employing this hypothesis and such concepts, we investigate sufficient/necessary conditions of the Hausdorff semicontinuity/continuity for solution mappings to such problems. We also discuss characterizations for the hypothesis which do not contain information regarding solution sets. As an application, we consider the special case of traffic network problems. Our results are new or improve the existing ones.     

Deriving the beta-constraints for geometric continuity of parametric curves

Parametric splines curves are typically constructed so that the firstn parametric derivatives agree where the curve segments abut. This type of continuity condition has become known asC ⁿ orn ^th orderparametric continuity. It has previously been shown that the use of parametric continuity disallows many parametrizations which generate geometrically smooth curves. We definen ^th ordergeometric continuity (Gⁿ), develop constraint equations that are necessary and sufficient for geometric continuity of curves, and show that geometric continuity is a relaxed form of parametric continuity.G ⁿ continuity provides for the introduction ofn quantities known asshape parameters which can be made available to a designer in a computer aided design environment to modify the shape of curves without moving control vertices. Several applications of the theory are discussed, along with topics of future research.     

Hausdorff Matching and Lipschitz Optimization

In this paper, we prove the Lipschitz continuity with respect to the Hausdorff metric of some parametrized families of sets in R³. This implies that many Hausdorff approximation (Hausdorff matching) problems can be reduced to searching a global minimum of a real Lipschitz function of real variables. Practical methods are presented for obtaining reduced search spaces for these minimization problems.     

Nonlinear scalarizing functions in set optimization problems

In this paper, we obtain Hölder continuity of the nonlinear scalarizing function for l-type less order relation, which is introduced by Hernández and Rodríguez-Marín (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 2007;325:1–18). Moreover, we introduce the nonlinear scalarizing function for u-type less order relation and establish continuity, convexity and Hölder continuity of the nonlinear scalarizing function for u-type less order relation. As applications, we firstly obtain Lipschitz continuity of solution mapping to the parametric equilibrium problems and then establish Lipschitz continuity of strongly approximate solution mappings for l-type less order relation, u-type less order relation and set less order relation to the parametric set optimization problems by using convexity and Hölder continuity of the nonlinear scalarizing functions.     

Continuity of Julia set for a family of entire functions

Based on the work of McMullen about the continuity of Julia set for rational functions, in this paper, we discuss the continuity of Julia set and its Hausdorff dimension for a family of entire functions which satisfy some conditions.     

Metric properties of the nearest extended parametric fuzzy number and applications

We propose the notion of extended parametric fuzzy number, which generalizes the extended trapezoidal fuzzy number and parametric fuzzy number, discussed in some recent papers. The metric properties of the nearest extended parametric fuzzy number of a fuzzy number, proved in the present article, help us to obtain the property of continuity for the parametric approximation operator and to simplify the solving of the problems of parametric approximations under conditions.     

Uniqueness and differentiability of solutions of parametric nonlinear complementarity problems

We derive conditions for the local uniqueness of solutions of nonlinear complementarity problems (NCP). We then prove the existence, continuity, and directional differentiability of a locally unique parametric solution of the parametric NCP under stronger assumptions. In the absence of degeneracy this parametric solution is also shown to be continuously differentiable.
