The structure of medial weakly U-abundant semigroups

We consider the class of weakly U-abundant semigroups satisfying the congruence condition (C) containing both the class of regular semigroups and the class of abundant semigroups as its subclasses. The class of weakly U-abundant semigroups with a medial projection satisfying the congruence condition (C) will be particularly studied. This kind of semigroups will be called medial weakly U-abundant semigroups. In this paper, we establish a structure theorem for such semigroups. It is proved that every medial weakly U-abundant semigroup can be expressed by some kind of bands and quasi-Ehresmann semigroups. Our theorem generalizes and enriches the structure theorem given by M. Loganathan in 1987 for regular semigroups with a medial idempotent.     

Banach空间中非Lipschitz映象的连续半群的不动点定理

设E是一实的p一致凸Banach空间.利用渐近中心,E中范数不等式和逐次逼近的思想,本文证明了E中非Lipschitz映象的连续半群的不动点存在的定理.该定理本质上把Lipschitz半群的不动点存在性的研究推广到了非Lipschitz映象的连续半群的情况.另一方面,应用该定理,还得到了非Lipschitz映象的渐近非扩张型半群的渐近行为方面的一些结果.     

双连续n次积分C余弦函数的逼近定理

基于双连续半群概念,引入一致双连续半群序列概念,借助Laplace变换和Trotter-Kato定理,考察双连续n次积分C余弦函数与C-预解式之间的关系,得到逼近定理的稳定性条件,进而得出双连续n次积分C余弦函数逼近定理.从而对Banach空间强连续半群逼近定理和双连续半群逼近定理进行了推广,为相应抽象的Cauchy问题提供了解决方案.     

完全■-单半群

完全■-单半群是完全单半群和完全■~*-单半群在U-半富足半群类中的一个自然推广.本文证明了半群S是完全■-单半群,当且仅当S同构于幺半群T上的正规Rees矩阵半群■(T;I,A;P).这一结果不仅推广了完全单半群的著名Rees定理,而且推广了任学明和岑嘉评在2004年建立的完全■~*-单半群的一个结构定理.     

On the generation of non-continuous semigroups

A generalization of a part of a theorem of W. Arendt about integrated semigroups is given, and a generation theorem for non-continuous semigroups is presented.     

On Left Regular Ordered Semigroups

The main result of the paper is a decomposition theorem of the left regular ordered semigroups into left regular and left simple semigroups.

Semilattices of bisimple orthodox semigroups

A structure theorem for bisimple orthodox semigroups was given by Clifford [2]. In this paper we determine all homomorphisms of a certain type from one bisimple orthodox semigroup into another, and apply the results to give a structure theorem for any semilattice of bisimple orthodox semigroups with identity in which the set of identity elements forms a subsemigroup. A special case of these results is indicated for bisimple left unipotent semigroups.     

The structure of superabundant semigroups

A structure theorem for superabundant semigroups in terms of semilattices of normalized Rees matrix semigroups over some cancellative monoids is obtained. This result not only provides a construction method for superabundant semigroups but also generalizes the well-known result of Petrich on completely regular semigroups. Some results obtained by Fountain on abundant semigroups are also extended and strengthened.     

Rees matrix covers for a class of locally U-commutative semigroups

Given the importance of Morita theory of semigroups, we continue the study on the local structure of semigroups. Here we consider a class of nonregular semigroups, called locally U-commutative semigroups having U-local units, containing the classes of locally inverse semigroups, locally adequate semigroups, locally Ehresmann semigroups, and semigroups with local units having locally commuting idempotents. Our aim is to give a Rees matrix covering theorem for such semigroups with a partial McAlister sandwich bundle, and hence to put all the existing results into one context.     

Ultradistribution semigroups

We analyze ultradistribution semigroups with not necessarily densely defined generators and the connections of ultradistribution semigroups with local convoluted semigroups. In such a way, we prove a perturbation type theorem for Gevrey’s ultradistribution semigroups.     

E*-酉范畴逆半群的结构

本文通过定义本原逆半群在集合上的部分作用及其整体化,给出了E*-酉范畴逆半群的结构．

证明了H~#-富足半群S是正规密码H~#-富足半群当且仅当它是完全J~#-单半群的强半格.该结果也是正规密码超富足半群和正规密码群并半群分别在超富足半群和完全正则半群上的相应结构定理的推广.     

The structure of generalized inverse semigroups

We prove that the structure of right generalized inverse semigroups is determined by free étale actions of inverse semigroups. This leads to a tensor product interpretation of Yamada’s classical structure theorem for generalized inverse semigroups.     

强可收缩半群

称半群Ｓ强可收缩,若Ｓ的每个子半群都是它的一个缩回．本文逐次刻划了强可收缩的群、完全单半群、强可收缩的半格及正则半群的结构,在此基础上给出了任意强可收缩半群的结构定理．     

正规密码o-超富足半群的结构

证明了ο-超富足半群S是正规密码ο-超富足半群当且仅当它是完全Jο-单半群的强半格.该结果也是正规密码超富足半群和正规密码群并半群分别在超富足半群和完全正则半群上的相应结构定理的推广。     

Graphs and their associated inverse semigroups

Directed graphs have long been used to gain an understanding of the structure of semigroups, and recently the structure of directed graph semigroups has been investigated resulting in a characterization theorem and an analog of Frucht’s Theorem. We investigate two inverse semigroups defined over undirected graphs constructed from the notions of subgraph and vertex set induced subgraph. We characterize the structure of the semilattice of idempotents and lattice of ideals of these inverse semigroups. We prove a characterization theorem that states that every graph has a unique associated inverse semigroup up to isomorphism allowing for an algebraic restatement of the Edge Reconstruction Conjecture.     

Super rpp semigroups

We study a class of special strongly rpp semigroups, namely, the class of super rpp semigroups. These super rpp semigroups are generalizations of both superabundant semigroups and Clifford semigroups within the class of rpp semigroups. In particular, we prove that a super rpp semigroup is a semilattice of D ^(l)-simple strongly rpp semigroups. Our result not only generalizes a well-known theorem of Clifford in the class of completely regular semigroups but also strengthens some structure theorems obtained by Ren-Shum for superabundant semigroups which are orthodox. Some special super rpp semigroups are considered and discussed.     

Product formulas,nonlinear semigroups,and accretive operators

A special case of our main theorem, when combined with a known result of Brezis and Pazy, shows that in reflexive Banach spaces with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm, resolvent consistency is equivalent to convergence for nonlinear contractive algorithms. (The linear case is due to Chernoff.) The proof uses ideas of Crandall, Liggett, and Baillon. Other applications of our theorem include results concerning the generation of nonlinear semigroups (e.g., a nonlinear Hille-Yosida theorem for “nice” Banach spaces that includes the familiar Hilbert space result), the geometry of Banach spaces, extensions of accretive operators, invariance criteria, and the asymptotic behavior of nonlinear semigroups and resolvents. The equivalence between resolvent consistency and convergence for nonlinear contractive algorithms seems to be new even in Hilbert space. Our nonlinear Hille-Yosida theorem is the first of its kind outside Hilbert space. It establishes a biunique correspondence between m-accretive operators and semigroups on nonexpansive retracts of “nice” Banach spaces and provides affirmative answers to two questions of Kato.     

Characterization of non-nilpotent topological interval semigroups

A remarkable subclass of linearly ordered semigroups, called interval semigroups, defined on connected and compact sets is studied. Particularly, a generalized notion of o-isomorphism, called weak o-embedding, of such semigroups into the real numbers with standard operations is given. A representation theorem for the weak o-embedding of topological Archimedean interval semigroups with no zero divisors is provided. Such characterization is shown to be the best one possible.
