In this paper, we first give the definitions of a crossed left π-H-comodules over a crossed weak Hopf π-algebra H, and show that the category of crossed left π-H-comodules is a monoidal category. Finally, we show that a family σ = {σα,β: Hα Hβ→ k}α,β∈πof k-linear maps is a coquasitriangular structure of a crossed weak Hopf π-algebra H if and only if the category of crossed left π-H-comodules over H is a braided monoidal category with braiding defined by σ.  相似文献

We revise the notion of von Neumann regularity in JB^*-triples by finding a new characterisation in terms of the range of the quadratic operator Q(a). We introduce the quadratic conorm of an element a in a JB^*-triple as the minimum reduced modulus of the mapping Q(a). It is shown that the quadratic conorm of a coincides with the infimum of the squares of the points in the triple spectrum of a. It is established that a contractive bijection between JBW^*-triples is a triple isomorphism if, and only if, it preserves quadratic conorms. The continuity of the quadratic conorm and the generalized inverse are discussed. Some applications to C^*-algebras and von Neumann algebras are also studied.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to describing the asymptotic behavior of a structure made by a thin plate and a thin perpendicular rod in the framework of nonlinear elasticity. The authors scale the applied forces in such a way that the level of the total elastic energy leads to the Von-K′arm′an’s equations (or the linear model for smaller forces) in the plate and to a one-dimensional rod-model at the limit. The junction conditions include in particular the continuity of the bending in the plate and the stretching in the rod at the junction.  相似文献

The Bingham fluid model has been successfully used in modeling a large class of non-Newtonian fluids. In this paper, the authors extend to the case of Bingham fluids the results previously obtained by Chipot and Mardare, who studied the asymptotics of the Stokes flow in a cylindrical domain that becomes unbounded in one direction, and prove the convergence of the solution to the Bingham problem in a finite periodic domain, to the solution of the Bingham problem in the infinite periodic domain, as the length of the finite domain goes to infinity. As a consequence of this convergence, the existence of a solution to a Bingham problem in the infinite periodic domain is obtained, and the uniqueness of the velocity field for this problem is also shown. Finally, they show that the error in approximating the velocity field in the infinite domain with the velocity in a periodic domain of length 2? has a polynomial decay in ?, unlike in the Stokes case(see [Chipot,M. and Mardare, S., Asymptotic behaviour of the Stokes problem in cylinders becoming unbounded in one direction, Journal de Math′ematiques Pures et Appliqu′ees, 90(2), 2008,133–159]) where it has an exponential decay. This is in itself an important result for the numerical simulations of non-Newtonian flows in long tubes.  相似文献

We prove a concentration result of a Bloch eigenstate in a periodic channel under a constant gauge. In the semi-classical limit h → 0 these eigenstates concentrate near a maximizer of the scalar potential of the associated Schrdinger operator, provided the constant gauge converges to a critical value from above. This is in contrast with the ground states which concentrate for any gauge in this limit near a minimizer of the scalar potential.  相似文献

The authors modify a method of Olde Daalhuis and Temme for representing the remainder and coefficients in Airy-type expansions of integrals.By using a class of rational functions,they express these quantities in terms of Cauchy-type integrals;these expressions are natural generalizations of integral representations of the coe?cients and the remainders in the Taylor expansions of analytic functions.By using the new representation,a computable error bound for the remainder in the uniform asymptotic expansion of the modified Bessel function of purely imaginary order is derived.  相似文献

A piecewise-smooth second-order singularly perturbed differential equation whose right-hand side is a nonlinear function with a discontinuity on some curve is investigated. This is a new class of problems in the case where the degenerate equation has a multiple root on the left-hand side of the curve which separates the domain and an isolated root on the right-hand side of that curve. The asymptotics of a solution with an internal layer near a point on the discontinuous curve and the transition point is constructed. The method to construct the internal layer function is proposed. The behavior of the solution in the internal layer consisting of four zones essentially differs from the case of isolated roots. For sufficiently small parameter values, the existence of a smooth solution with an internal layer from the multiple root of the degenerate equation to the isolated root in the neighborhood of a point on the discontinuous curve is proved. The method can be shown to be effective in the given example.  相似文献

The relation between a monoidal category which has an exact faithful monoidal functor to a category of finite rank projective modules over a Dedekind domain, and the category of continuous modules over a topological bialgebra is discussed. If the monoidal category is braided, the bialgebra is topologically quasitriangular. If the monoidal category is rigid monoidal, the bialgebra is a Hopf algebra.  相似文献

This paper proves three different coherence theorems for symmetric monoidal bicategories. First, we show that in a free symmetric monoidal bicategory every diagram of 2-cells commutes. Second, we show that this implies that the free symmetric monoidal bicategory on one object is equivalent, as a symmetric monoidal bicategory, to the discrete symmetric monoidal bicategory given by the disjoint union of the symmetric groups. We give a 3-categorical, purely formal argument explaining why on the category of Kleisli algebras for a lax monoidal monad, and dually on the category of Eilenberg–Moore algebras for an oplax monoidal monad, we always have a natural monoidal structures. The key observation is that the 2-category of lax monoidal monads in any 2-category D with finite products is isomorphic to the 2-category of monoidal objects with oplax morphisms in the 2-category of monads with lax morphisms in D. We explain at the end of the paper that a similar phenomenon occurs in many other situations.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the category of corepresentations of a monoidal comonad. We show that it is a semisimple category if and only if the monoidal comonad is a cosemisipmle (coseparable) comonad, and it is a braided category if and only if the monoidal comonad admit a cobraided structure. At last, as an application, the braided structure and the semisimplicity of the Hom-comodule category of a monoidal Hom-bialgebra are discussed.  相似文献

Motivated by algebraic structures appearing in Rational Conformal Field Theory we study a construction associating to an algebra in a monoidal category a commutative algebra (full centre) in the monoidal centre of the monoidal category. We study Hom-structures from the point of view of monoidal categories; in particular, we introduce a symmetric monoidal category such that Hom-algebras coincide with algebras in this monoidal category, and similar properties for coalgebras, Hopf algebras, and Lie algebras.  相似文献

A general result relating skew monoidal structures and monads is proved. This is applied to quantum categories and bialgebroids. Ordinary categories are monads in the bicategory whose morphisms are spans between sets. Quantum categories were originally defined as monoidal comonads on endomorphism objects in a particular monoidal bicategory ?. Then they were shown also to be skew monoidal structures (with an appropriate unit) on objects in ?. Now we see in what kind of ? quantum categories are merely monads.  相似文献
