§ 1. Introduction The Riemann problem is the most basic problem for both analytical theory and numerical computation of nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws. B. Riemann suggested and solved it for one dimensional isentropic flow in 1860. A lot of work have been done for 1-D case since 1940's. For 2-D scalar conservation law, it has been solved by Wagner and Zhang and Zheng. For 2-D system of Euler equations in gas dynamios, after some demonstration and analysis with characteristic method in both physics and phase spaces a set of conjectures on the structure of solutions have been formulated by Zhang and Zheng. Existence of Entire Solutions of a Singular Semilinear Elliptic Problem   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
In this paper, we obtain some existence results for a class of singular semilinear elliptic problems where we improve some earlier results of Zhijun Zhang. We show the existence of entire positive solutions without the monotonic condition imposed in Zhang‘s paper. The main point of our technique is to choose an approximating sequence and prove its convergence. The desired compactness can be obtained by the Sobolev embedding theorems.  相似文献

In this paper, some new generalized L-KKM type theorems with finitely open values and with finitely closed values are established without any convexity structure in topological spaces. As applications, some new matching theorem, fixed point theorem and existence the orem of equilibrium problem with lower and upper bounds are also given under some suitable conditions. These theorems presented in this paper unify and generalize some corresponding known results in recent literatures.  相似文献

We consider the design of semidefinite programming(SDP) based approximation algorithm for the problem Max Hypergraph Cut with Limited Unbalance(MHC-LU): Find a partition of the vertices of a weighted hypergraph H =(V, E) into two subsets V1, V2 with ‖V2|- |V1‖ u for some given u and maximizing the total weight of the edges meeting both V1 and V2. The problem MHC-LU generalizes several other combinatorial optimization problems including Max Cut, Max Cut with Limited Unbalance(MC-LU), Max Set Splitting,Max Ek-Set Splitting and Max Hypergraph Bisection. By generalizing several earlier ideas, we present an SDP randomized approximation algorithm for MHC-LU with guaranteed worst-case performance ratios for various unbalance parameters τ = u/|V|. We also give the worst-case performance ratio of the SDP-algorithm for approximating MHC-LU regardless of the value of τ. Our strengthened SDP relaxation and rounding method improve a result of Ageev and Sviridenko(2000) on Max Hypergraph Bisection(MHC-LU with u = 0), and results of Andersson and Engebretsen(1999), Gaur and Krishnamurti(2001) and Zhang et al.(2004) on Max Set Splitting(MHC-LU with u = |V|). Furthermore, our new formula for the performance ratio by a tighter analysis compared with that in Galbiati and Maffioli(2007) is responsible for the improvement of a result of Galbiati and Maffioli(2007) on MC-LU for some range of τ.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a certain forced higher-order nonlinear neutral difference equation. In this paper, we establish several new Hilbert-type inequalities with a homogeneous kernel, involving arithmetic, geometric, and harmonic mean operators in both integral and discrete case. Such inequalities are derived by virtue of some recent results regarding general Hilbert-type inequalities and some well-known classical inequalities. We also prove that the constant factors appearing in established inequalities are the best possible. As an application, we consider some particular settings and compare our results with previously known from the literature.  相似文献

Huang and Zhang [L.-G. Haung, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468–1476] proved some fixed point theorems in cone metric spaces. In this work we prove some fixed point theorems in cone metric spaces, including results which generalize those from Haung and Zhang’s work. Given the fact that, in a cone, one has only a partial ordering, it is doubtful that their Theorem 2.1 can be further generalized. We introduce a new Euler-type scheme and its iterative algorithm for solving weakly coupled forward-backward stochastic differential equations (FBSDEs). Although the schemes share some common features with the ones proposed by C. Bender and J. Zhang [Ann. Appl. Probab., 2008, 18: 143–177], less computational work is needed for our method. For both our schemes and the ones proposed by Bender and Zhang, we rigorously obtain first-order error estimates, which improve the half-order error estimates of Bender and Zhang. Moreover, numerical tests are given to demonstrate the first-order accuracy of the schemes.  相似文献

Recently, Zhang and Shang proposed a class of Uzawa-SOR methods for solving the nonsingular saddle point problems; see Zhang and Shang (2010). In this paper, we give the semi-convergence analysis of this method when it is applied to solve the singular saddle point problems under some conditions. In this paper, we consider its solutions which may be unbounded. We give not only existence and uniqueness of its solutions but also the convex and concave solutions. In this paper, we show that the main results in a recent paper by Zhang and Yan [X. Zhang and G. Yan, Machine scheduling problems with a general learning effect, Mathematical and Computer Modelling 51 (2010) 84–90] are incorrect as an important reason is missing, that is, the processing time of a job is variable according to a general learning effect. Here we point out these wrong results by a counter-example. In addition, we give a revised model with a general learning effect. We show that some single machine scheduling problems are still polynomially solvable under the revised model. We also show that some special cases of the flowshop scheduling problems can be solved in polynomial time under the revised model.  相似文献

Huang and Zhang reviewed cone metric spaces in 2007 [Huang Long-Guang, Zhang Xian, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468-1476]. We shall prove that there are no normal cones with normal constant M<1 and for each k>1 there are cones with normal constant M>k. Also, by providing non-normal cones and omitting the assumption of normality in some results of [Huang Long-Guang, Zhang Xian, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468-1476], we obtain generalizations of the results.  相似文献
