有这样一道题:设a>0,且a≠1,P=loga(a3-1),Q=loga(a2-1),比较P、Q的大小关系.甲给出如下解法:∵　(a3-1)-(a2-1)=a3-a2=a2(a-1),∴　当a>1时,　a3-1>a2-1,从而　loga(a3-1)>loga(a2-1),即P>Q;当0loga(a2-1),即P>Q.因此　　　P>Q.乙给出如下解法:P-Q=loga(a3-1)-loga(a2-1)=logaa3-1a2-1=logaa2+a+1a+1=loga(1+a2a+1),∵　　　1+a2a+1>1,∴　当a>1时,loga(1+a2a+1)>0,∴　　　　　P>Q;当00a2-1>0a>0且a≠1　即a>1,于是,将两人的解法适当修改,则可得如下的正确解法.解法1　∵　(a3-1)-(a2-1)=a2(a-1),又　a3-1>0a2-1>0a-1>0且a≠1　即a>1...

Traveling Wave Solutions of Nonlinear Scalar Integral Differential Equations Arising from Synaptically Coupled Neuronal Networks

Consider the following nonlinear scalar integral differential equations arising from synaptically coupled neuronal networks. These model equations generalize many important nonlinear scalar integral differential equations aris ing from synaptically coupled neuronal networks. The kernel functions K and W represent synaptic couplings between neurons in synaptically coupled neuronal networks. The synaptic couplings can be very general, including not only pure excitations (modeled with nonnegative kernel functions), lateral inhibitions (modeled with Mexican hat kernel functions), lateral excitations (modeled with upside down Mexican hat kernel functions), but also synaptic couplings which may change sign for finitely many times or even infinitely many times. The function H = H(u − ) represents the Heaviside step function, which is defined by H(u − ) = 0 for all u < , H(0) = 1 2 and H(u − ) = 1 for all u > . The functions and represent probability density functions defined on (0,1). The parameter c > 0 represents the speed of an action potential and the parameter > 0 represents a constant delay. In these equations, u = u(x, t) stands for the membrane potential of a neuron at position x and time t. The positive constants > 0 and > 0 represent synaptic rates. The positive constants > 0 and > 0 represent thresholds for excitation of neurons. The function f = f(u) represents the sodium currents in neuronal networks. The positive constant w 0 > 0 is to be given. The authors will establish the existence and stability of traveling wave solutions of these nonlinear scalar integral differential equations by coupling together speed index functions, stability index func tions (often called Evans functions, that is, complex analytic functions), implicit function theorem, intermediate value theorem, mean value theorem, global strong maximum principle for Evans func tions, linearized stability criterion and many other important techniques in dynamical systems. They will find sufficient conditions satisfied by the synaptic couplings, by the probability density functions, by the synaptic rate constants and by the thresholds so that the traveling wave solutions and their wave speeds exist, and the stability of the traveling wave solutions is true. The main results obtained in this paper greatly improve many previous results.     

气相外延生长单晶金刚石薄膜

本文用氢气、丙酮做为气体源,通过微波增强的化学气相沉积方法,在人造金刚石的<100>,<111>及<110>晶面上实现了气相外延生长。通过扫描电子显微分析,观察到了外延生长台及螺旋线,并用显微激光Raman光谱法分析证明,生长层中不合非金刚石成分。反射电子衍射分析结果表明,在金刚石<100>,<110>面上的生长层为单晶生长层。从实验结果中还发现,外延生长温度与晶面原子密度密切相关。

ON LAGRANGE INTERPOLATION FOR |X|~α (0 &lt; α &lt; 1)

We study the optimal order of approximation for |x|α (0 &lt; α &lt; 1) by Lagrange interpolation polynomials based on Chebyshev nodes of the first kind. It is proved that the Jackson order of approximation is attained.
