The distributional dimension of fractal sets in R^n has been systematically studied by Triebel by virtue of the theory of function spaces. In this paper, we first discuss some important properties about the B-type spaces and the F-type spaces on local fields, then we give the definition of the distributional dimension dimD in local fields and study the relations between distributional dimension and Hausdorff dimension. Moreover, the analysis expression of the Hausdorff dimension is given. Lastly, we define the Fourier dimension in local fields, and obtain the relations among all the three dimensions. This paper deals with chaos for subshifts of finite type. We show that for any subshift of finite type determined by an irreducible and aperiodic matrix, there is a finitely chaotic set with full Hausdorff dimension. Moreover, for any subshift of finite type determined by a matrix, we point out that the cases including positive topological entropy, distributional chaos, chaos and Devaney chaos are mutually equivalent.  相似文献

The dimension theory of self-similar sets is quite well understood in the cases when some separation conditions (open set condition or weak separation condition) or the so-called transversality condition hold. Otherwise the study of the Hausdorff dimension is far from well understood. We investigate the properties of the Hausdorff dimension of self-similar sets such that some functions in the corresponding iterated function system share the same fixed point. Then it is not possible to apply directly known techniques. In this paper we are going to calculate the Hausdorff dimension for almost all contracting parameters and calculate the proper dimensional Hausdorff measure of the attractor.  相似文献

In this paper, we use fractal structures to study a new approach to the Hausdorff dimension from both continuous and discrete points of view. We show that it is possible to generalize the Hausdorff dimension in the context of Euclidean spaces equipped with their natural fractal structure. To do this, we provide three definitions of fractal dimension for a fractal structure and study their relationships and mathematical properties.  相似文献

In this note, we show, in a quantitative fashion, that the limit set of a non-elementary Kleinian group is uniformly perfect if the quotient orbifold is of Lehner type, i.e., if the space of integrable holomorphic quadratic differentials on it is continuously contained in the space of (hyperbolically) bounded ones. This result covers the known case when the group is analytically finite. As applications, we present estimates of the Hausdorff dimension of the limit set and the translation lengths in the region of discontinuity for such a Kleinian group. Several examples will also be given.

By introducing a new anisotropic metric in R~d, we obtain the Hausdorff and packing dimension in the new metric for the image of X. For non-metrizable spaces the classical Hausdorff dimension is meaningless. We extend the notion of Hausdorff dimension to arbitrary locally convex linear topological spaces and thus to a large class of non-metrizable spaces. This involves a limiting procedure using the canonical bornological structure. In the case of normed spaces the new notion of Hausdorff dimension is equivalent to the classical notion.  相似文献

For a Gibbs measure on the configuration space of a finite spin lattice system, we find (in terms of entropy) the Hausdorff dimension of the set of generic points. In this paper we study a class of subsets of the general Sierpinski carpets for which the limiting frequency of a horizontal fibre falls into a prescribed closed interval. An estimate on the Hausdorff dimension of the global attractor for damped nonlinear wave equations, in two cases of nonlinear damping and linear damping, with Dirichlet boundary condition is obtained. The gained Hausdorff dimension is bounded and is independent of the concrete form of nonlinear damping term. In the case of linear damping, the gained Hausdorff dimension remains small for large damping, which conforms to the physical intuition.

The graphs of coordinate functions of space-filling curves such as those described by Peano, Hilbert, Pólya and others, are typical examples of self-affine sets, and their Hausdorff dimensions have been the subject of several articles in the mathematical literature. In the first half of this paper, we describe how the study of dimensions of self-affine sets was motivated, at least in part, by these coordinate functions and their natural generalizations, and review the relevant literature. In the second part, we present new results on the coordinate functions of Pólya's one-parameter family of space-filling curves. We give a lower bound for the Hausdorff dimension of their graphs which is fairly close to the box-counting dimension. Our techniques are largely probabilistic. The fact that the exact dimension remains elusive seems to indicate the need for further work in the area of self-affine sets.  相似文献
