The purpose of this paper is to investigate the robust exponential stability of discrete‐time uncertain impulsive neural networks with time‐varying delay. By using Lyapunov functions together with Razumikhin technique, some new robust exponential stability criteria are presented. The obtained results show that the robust stability can be retained under certain impulsive perturbations for the neural network, which has the robust stability property. The obtained results also show that impulses can robustly stabilize the neural network, which does not have the robust stability property. Some examples, together with their simulations, are also given to show the effectiveness and the advantage of the presented results. It should be noted that the impulsive robust exponential stabilization result for discrete‐time neural network with time‐varying delay is given for the first time. In this note, the problem of the robust stability for a two-dimensional (two-variable) Schur polynomial which is the characteristic polynomial of a discrete-time linear time-invariant system is investigated. A new approach based on the Rouché theorem is adopted. The extension to the robust stability for multidimensional (multivariable) polynomials is also provided. Interesting sufficient conditions for such robust stability are derived. A two-dimensional example is included to support the theoretical result.  相似文献

An uncertainty set is a crucial component in robust optimization. Unfortunately, it is often unclear how to specify it precisely. Thus it is important to study sensitivity of the robust solution to variations in the uncertainty set, and to develop a method which improves stability of the robust solution. In this paper, to address these issues, we focus on uncertainty in the price impact parameters in an optimal portfolio execution problem. We first illustrate that a small variation in the uncertainty set may result in a large change in the robust solution. We then propose a regularized robust optimization formulation which yields a solution with a better stability property than the classical robust solution. In this approach, the uncertainty set is regularized through a regularization constraint, defined by a linear matrix inequality using the Hessian of the objective function and a regularization parameter. The regularized robust solution is then more stable with respect to variation in the uncertainty set specification, in addition to being more robust to estimation errors in the price impact parameters. The regularized robust optimal execution strategy can be computed by an efficient method based on convex optimization. Improvement in the stability of the robust solution is analyzed. We also study implications of the regularization on the optimal execution strategy and its corresponding execution cost. Through the regularization parameter, one can adjust the level of conservatism of the robust solution.  相似文献

In this paper, global robust stability for delayed neural networks is studied. First the free-weighting matrices are employed to express the relationship between the terms in the system equation, and a stability condition for delayed neural networks is derived by using the S-procedure. Then this result is extended to establish a global robust stability criterion for delayed neural networks with polytopic type uncertainties. A numerical example given in [IEEE Trans Circuits Syst II 52 (2005) 33–36] for interval delayed neural networks is investigated. The effectiveness of the presented global robust stability criterion and its improvement over the existing results are demonstrated.  相似文献

Differential equations that are equivariant under the action of a finite group can possess robust homoclinic cycles that can moreover be asymptotically stable. For differential equations in R4 there exists a classification of different robust homoclinic cycles for which moreover eigenvalue conditions for asymptotic stability are known. We study resonance bifurcations that destroy the asymptotic stability of robust ‘simple homoclinic cycles’ in four-dimensional differential equations. We establish that typically a periodic trajectory near the cycle is created, asymptotically stable in the supercritical case.  相似文献

In this paper, the problems of determining the robust exponential stability and estimating the exponential convergence rate for neural networks with parametric uncertainties and time delay are studied. Based on Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability theory for functional differential equations and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, some delay-dependent criteria are derived to guarantee global robust exponential stability. In this paper, a novel technique based on impulsive fuzzy T–S model is proposed for controlling chaotic systems with parameter uncertainties. According to this new model, a unified methodology for establishing robust stability, asymptotic stability and exponential stability of impulsive controllers is developed. Various robust stability conditions are presented in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). A simple iterative algorithm is also provided for calculating design parameters based on LMI techniques. Finally, a typical design procedure is developed by using well-known chaotic systems for illustration, accompanied by several numerical simulations to demonstrate the validity of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of robust stability of Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with time-varying delays. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, some sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the global robust convergence of the equilibrium point. The proposed LMI conditions can be checked easily by recently developed algorithms solving LMIs. Comparisons between our results and previous results admits our results establish a new set of stability criteria for delayed Cohen–Grossberg neural networks. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.  相似文献

This paper presents a new approach to the robust stability of discrete-time LPD neural networks with time-varying delay and with normed bounded uncertainties as well as polytopic type uncertainties. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and the S-procedure, we derive robust stability criteria in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI) which are solvable by several available algorithms. We show that some of the existing results on robust stability of neural networks are corollaries of main results of this paper. The paper investigates the problem of the robust stability of Schur polynomials. Recently, a new approach based on the Rouche theorem of classical complex analysis has been adopted for the solution of this problem. In this paper, an improvement of the previous solution is presented. This is the optimum solution of the robust stability problem for Schur polynomials, which is obtained by solving a minimization problem and is better than other methods in robust stability literature. In this paper, we investigate local robust stability of static neural network (SNN) with S-type distributed delays. We derive some new sufficient conditions for local robust stability of equilibrium points and estimate attracting domains of equilibrium points except isolated equilibrium points. Our results not only show local robust stability of equilibrium points but also allow much broader application for static neural network with or without delays.
