A matching M of a graph G is an induced matching if no two edges in M arejoined by an edge of G.Let iz(G) denote the total number of induced matchings of G,named iz-index.It is well known that the Hosoya index of a graph is the total number of matchings and the Hosoya index of a path can be calculated by the Fibonacci sequence.In this paper,we investigate the iz-index of graphs by using the Fibonacci-Narayana sequence and characterize some types of graphs with minimum and maximum iz-index,respectively.  相似文献

INDEPENDENT-SET-DELETABLE FACTOR-CRITICAL POWER GRAPHS   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
It is said that a graph G is independent-set-deletable factor-critical (in short, ID-factor-critical), if, for every independent set 7 which has the same parity as |V(G)|, G-I has a perfect matching. A graph G is strongly IM-extendable, if for every spanning supergraph H of G, every induced matching of H is included in a perfect matching of H. The k-th power of G, denoted by Gk, is the graph with vertex set V(G) in which two vertices are adjacent if and only if they have distance at most k in G. ID-factor-criticality and IM-extendability of power graphs are discussed in this article. The author shows that, if G is a connected graph, then G3 and T(G) (the total graph of G) are ID-factor-critical, and G4 (when |V(G)| is even) is strongly IM-extendable; if G is 2-connected, then D2 is ID-factor-critical.  相似文献

The maximum matching graph M(G) of a graph G is a simple graph whose vertices are the maximum matchings of G and where two maximum matchings are adjacent in M(G) if they differ by exactly one edge. A labeling f of a graph G is a bijection from its edge set E(G) to the set {1, 2, . . . , |E(G)|}, which is antimagic if for any distinct vertices x and y, the sum of the labels on edges incident to x is different from the sum of the labels on edges incident to y. A graph G is antimagic if G has an f which is antimagic. Hartsfield and Ringel conjectured in 1990 that every connected graph other than K 2 is antimagic. In this paper, we show that if G 1 is an n-vertex graph with minimum degree at least r, and G 2 is an m-vertex graph with maximum degree at most 2r-1 (m ≥ n), then G1 ∨ G2 is antimagic.  相似文献

The perfect matching polytope of a graph G is the convex hull of the incidence vectors of all perfect matchings in G. A graph is called perfect matching compact(shortly, PM-compact), if its perfect matching polytope has diameter one. This paper gives a complete characterization of simple PM-compact Hamiltonian bipartite graphs. We first define two families of graphs, called the H2C-bipartite graphs and the H23-bipartite graphs, respectively. Then we show that, for a simple Hamiltonian bipartite graph G with |V(G)| ≥ 6, G is PM-compact if and only if G is K3,3, or G is a spanning Hamiltonian subgraph of either an H2C-bipartite graph or an H23-bipartite graph.  相似文献

We say that G is almost claw-free if the vertices that are centers of induced claws (K1,3) in G are independent and their neighborhoods are 2-dominated. Clearly, every claw-free graph is almost claw-free. Let G be a graph with n(G) vertices and m(G) be its matching number.The nullity of G,denoted by η(G),is the multiplicity of the eigenvalue zero of adjacency matrix of G.It is well known that if G is a tree,then η(G) = n(G)-2m(G).Guo et al.[Jiming GUO,Weigen YAN,Yeongnan YEH.On the nullity and the matching number of unicyclic graphs.Linear Alg.Appl.,2009,431:1293 1301]proved that if G is a unicyclic graph,then η(G)equals n(G)-2m(G)-1,n(G)-2m(G),or n(G)-2m(G) +2.In this paper,we prove that if G is a bicyclic graph,then η(G) equals n(G)-2m(G),n(G)-2m(G)±1,n(G)-2m(G)±2or n(G)-2m(G) + 4.We also give a characterization of these six types of bicyclic graphs corresponding to each nullity.  相似文献

A graph G is maximal IM-unextendable if G is not induced matching extendable and, for every two nonadjacent vertices x and y, G+xy is induced matching extendable. We show in this paper that a graph G is maximal IM-unextendable if and only if G is isomorphic to Mr(Ks(Kn1Kn2Knt)), where Mr is an induced matching of size r, r1, t=s+2, and each ni is odd.  相似文献
