The iterative combinations of a new sequence of linear positive operators

In the present paper, we study a new sequence of linear positive operators. We obtain a Voronovskaja type asymptotic formula and an estimate on error in terms of higher-order modulus of continuity for the iterative combinations of the new sequence of linear positive operators. Here, we also note that the rates of convergence of these operators for bounded variation functions, for which one-sided limits f(ξ+) and f(ξ−) exist, are not analogous to the results of Gupta [1].

This paper discusses the special properties of the spectrum of linear operators (in particular, bounded linear operators) on quotient indecomposable Banach spaces; shows that in such spaces generators of Co-groups are always bounded linear operators, and that generators of Co-semigroups satisfy the spectral mapping theorem; and gives an example to show that the generators of Co-semigroups in quotient indecomposable spaces are not necessarily bounded.     

Local Controllability of Functional Integrodifferential Equations in Banach Space

In this paper, we establish a set of sufficient conditions for the local controllability of functional integrodifferential equations in Banach space. The results are obtained by using the methods of analytic semigroups, fractional powers of operators, and a fixed-point argument. These results generalize previous results on bounded linear operators to unbounded linear operators in which the equation involves a nonlinear delay term. An application to a partial integrodifferential equation is given.     

Boundedness and closedness of linear relations

This paper focuses on boundedness and closedness of linear relations, which include both single-valued and multi-valued linear operators. A new (single-valued) linear operator induced by a linear relation is introduced, and its relationships with other two important induced linear operators are established. Several characterizations for closedness, closability, bundedness, relative boundedness and boundedness from below (above) of linear relations are given in terms of their induced linear operators. In particular, the closed graph theorem for linear relations in Banach spaces is completed, and stability of closedness of linear relations under bounded and relatively bounded perturbations is studied. The results obtained in the present paper generalize the corresponding results for single-valued linear operators to multi-valued linear operators, and some improve or relax certain assumptions of the related existing results.

Banach空间中闭线性算子广义预解式存在定理

在Banach空间中研究闭线性算子广义逆扰动问题和广义预解式存在性问题.给出了闭线性算子广义逆在T-有界扰动下的一些稳定特征,这些特征推广了在有界线性算子情形、闭线性算子有界扰动情形以及闭线性算子保值域或保核空间情形的一些已知结果.以此为基础,得到了闭线性算子广义预解式存在的一些充要条件及其广义预解式的显式表达式.作为应用,给出了闭Fredholm算子和闭半-Fredholm算子的广义预解式存在性特征.     

Necessary and sufficient conditions for the inversion of linearly-perturbed bounded linear operators on Banach space using Laurent series

Using a Laurent series representation, we present a detailed discussion of necessary and sufficient conditions for the inversion of linearly-perturbed bounded linear operators on Banach space that are singular in the unperturbed state.     

Generalized random linear operators on a Hilbert space

In this paper, we are concerned with generalized random linear operators on a separable Hilbert space. Generalized random linear bounded operators, generalized random linear normal operators and generalized random linear self-adjoint operators are defined and investigated. The spectral theorems for generalized random linear normal operators and generalized random linear self-adjoint operators are obtained.     

Stability of discrete-time positive evolution operators on ordered Banach spaces and applications

In this paper we discuss stability problems for a class of discrete-time evolution operators generated by linear positive operators acting on certain ordered Banach spaces. Our approach is based upon a new representation result that links a positive operator with the adjoint operator of its restriction to a Hilbert subspace formed by sequences of Hilbert–Schmidt operators. This class includes the evolution operators involved in stability and optimal control problems for linear discrete-time stochastic systems. The inclusion is strict because, following the results of Choi, we have proved that there are positive operators on spaces of linear, bounded and self-adjoint operators which have not the representation that characterize the completely positive operators. As applications, we introduce a new concept of weak-detectability for pairs of positive operators, which we use to derive sufficient conditions for the existence of global and stabilizing solutions for a class of generalized discrete-time Riccati equations. Finally, assuming weak-detectability conditions and using the method of Lyapunov equations we derive a new stability criterion for positive evolution operators.

Berezin symbol and invertibility of operators on the functional Hilbert spaces

We give in terms of reproducing kernel and Berezin symbol the sufficient conditions ensuring the invertibility of some linear bounded operators on some functional Hilbert spaces.     

On the local spectral radius of positive operators

We give some sufficient conditions for subadditivity and submultiplicativity of the local spectral radius of bounded positive linear operators.

     

Cosine of angle and center of mass of an operator

We consider the notion of real center of mass and total center of mass of a bounded linear operator relative to another bounded linear operator and explore their relation with cosine and total cosine of a bounded linear operator acting on a complex Hilbert space. We give another proof of the Min-max equality and then generalize it using the notion of orthogonality of bounded linear operators. We also illustrate with examples an alternative method of calculating the antieigenvalues and total antieigenvalues for finite dimensional operators.     

Topologically Mixing and Hypercyclicity of Tuples

In this paper,we characterize conditions under which a tuple of bounded linear operators is topologically mixing.Also,we give conditions for a tuple to be hereditarily hypercyclic with respect to a tuple of syndetic sequences.     

On Tensor Products of l-Operators and bo-Operators

It is proved that the tensor product of two linear operators is a cone summing operator (respectively, order bounded operator) if and only if both operators are cone summing (respectively, order bounded).

Weyl-type theorems for unbounded posinormal operators

For bounded linear operators, the study ofWeyl-type theorems and properties has been of significant interest for several non-normal classes of operators. In this paper, we extend this study to a class of unbounded posinormal operators. We define and study the spectral properties of unbounded posinormal and totally posinormal operators defined on an infinite dimensional complex Hilbert space H. For this class, under certain conditions several Weyl-type theorems and related properties are obtained.
