We consider the problem of interpolating positive data at scat-tered data points of the plane R~2. To solve the problem, weintroduce the Positive Thin Plate Spline, i. e. the solution to Minimize integral from n=R~2{x~2/~2u}~2 + 2{xy/~2u}~2 + {y~2/~2u}~2, u ∈ D~(-2)L~2(R~2); u(t_j) = z_j, j=1…, n; u(t)≥0, t∈ Kwhere (t_j, z_j) are the data, K is a convex compact subset of R~2.We give existence, uniqueness, characterisation and convergenceresults. We also present a dual algorithm to compute this splineand show numerical experience with the method.  相似文献

We give expansions about the Gumbel distribution in inverse powers of n and log n for Mn, the maximum of a sample size n or n + 1 when the j-th observation is μ(j/n) + ej, μ is any smooth trend function and the residuals {ej } are independent and identically distributed with P(e r) ≈ exp(-δx)xd0∑∞k=1ckx-kβ as x →∞. The aim of this paper is to prove the a.e.convergence of sequences of the Cesa`ro and Riesz means of the Walsh–Fourier series of d variable integrable functions.That is,let a=(a1,...,ad):N→Nd(d∈P)such that aj(n+1)≥δsupk≤n aj(k)(j=1,...,d,n∈N)for someδ0 and a1(+∞)=···=ad(+∞)=+∞.Then,for each integrable function f∈L1(Id),we have the a.e.relation for the Ces`aro means limn→∞σαa(n)f=f and for the Riesz means limn→∞σα,γa(n)f=f for any 0αj≤1≤γj(j=1,...,d).A straightforward consequence of our result is the so-called cone restricted a.e.convergence of the multidimensional Ces`aro and Riesz means of integrable functions,which was proved earlier by Weisz.  相似文献

A class of estimators of the mean survival time with interval censored data are studied by unbiased transformation method. The estimators are constructed based on the observations to ensure unbiasedness in the sense that the estimators in a certain class have the same expectation as the mean survival time. The estimators have good properties such as strong consistency (with the rate of O(n^-1/1 (log log n)^1/2)) and asymptotic normality. The application to linear regression is considered and the simulation reports are given.  相似文献

Suppose that we have a partially linear model Yi=x′iβ+g(ti)+εi with independent zero mean errorsεi,where{xi,ti,i=1,···,n}are non-random and observed completely and{Yi,i=1,···,n}are missing at random(MAR).Two types of estimators ofβand g(t)for fixed t are investigated:estimators based on semiparametric regression and inverse probability weighted imputations.Asymptotic normality of the estimators is established,which is used to construct normal approximation based confidence intervals onβand g(t).Results are reported of a simulation study on the finite sample performance of the estimators and confidence intervals proposed in this paper.  相似文献

The authors consider the partially linear model relating a response Y to predictors(x, T) with a mean function x Tβ0+ g(T) when the x s are measured with an additive error. The estimators of parameter β0are derived by using the nearest neighbor-generalized randomly weighted least absolute deviation(LAD for short) method. The resulting estimator of the unknown vector β0is shown to be consistent and asymptotically normal. In addition, the results facilitate the construction of confidence regions and the hypothesis testing for the unknown parameters. Extensive simulations are reported, showing that the proposed method works well in practical settings. The proposed methods are also applied to a data set from the study of an AIDS clinical trial group.  相似文献

It is proved that under suitable assumptions on the smoothness,compatibility conditions and the shape of Ω, the above problem has a unique global smoothsolution for small initial data, in the case that k=1 add n≥7 or that k=2 and n≥4.Moreover, the solution ham some decay properties as t→ + ∞.  相似文献

The paper deals with the following boundary problem of the second order quasilinear hyperbolic equation with a dissipative boundary condition on a part of the boundary:u_(tt)-sum from i,j=1 to n a_(ij)(Du)u_(x_ix_j)=0, in (0, ∞)×Ω,u|Γ_0=0,sum from i,j=1 to n, a_(ij)(Du)n_ju_x_i+b(Du)u_t|Γ_1=0,u|t=0=φ(x), u_t|t=0=ψ(x), in Ω, where Ω=Γ_0∪Γ_1, b(Du)≥b_0>0. On the real line, the Dunkl operators$$D_{\nu}(f)(x):=\frac{d f(x)}{dx} + (2\nu+1) \frac{f(x) - f(-x)}{2x}, ~~ \quad\forall \, x \in \mathbb{R}, ~ \forall \, \nu \ge -\tfrac{1}{2}$$are differential-difference operators associated with the reflection group $\mathbb{Z}_2$ on $\mathbb{R}$, and on the $\mathbb{R}^d$ the Dunkl operators $\big\{D_{k,j}\big\}_{j=1}^{d}$ are the differential-difference operators associated with the reflection group $\mathbb{Z}_2^d$ on $\mathbb{R}^{d}$.In this paper, in the setting $\mathbb{R}$ we show that $b \in BMO(\mathbb{R},dm_{\nu})$ if and only if the maximal commutator $M_{b,\nu}$ is bounded on Orlicz spaces $L_{\Phi}(\mathbb{R},dm_{\nu})$. Also in the setting $\mathbb{R}^{d}$ we show that $b \in BMO(\mathbb{R}^{d},h_{k}^{2}(x) dx)$ if and only if the maximal commutator $M_{b,k}$ is bounded on Orlicz spaces $L_{\Phi}(\mathbb{R}^{d},h_{k}^{2}(x) dx)$.  相似文献

In this paper, we have studied the separation for the biharmonic Laplace-Beltrami differential operator\begin{equation*}Au(x)=-\Delta \Delta u(x)+V(x)u(x),\end{equation*}for all $x\in R^{n}$, in the Hilbert space $H=L_{2}(R^{n},H_{1})$ with the operator potential $V(x)\in C^{1}(R^{n},L(H_{1}))$, where $L(H_{1})$ is the space of all bounded linear operators on the Hilbert space $H_{1}$, while $\Delta \Delta u$\ is the biharmonic differential operator and\begin{equation*}\Delta u{=-}\sum_{i,j=1}^{n}\frac{1}{\sqrt{\det g}}\frac{\partial }{{\partial x_{i}}}\left[ \sqrt{\det g}g^{-1}(x)\frac{\partial u}{{\partial x}_{j}}\right]\end{equation*}is the Laplace-Beltrami differential operator in $R^{n}$. Here $g(x)=(g_{ij}(x))$ is the Riemannian matrix, while $g^{-1}(x)$ is the inverse of the matrix $g(x)$. Moreover, we have studied the existence and uniqueness Theorem for the solution of the non-homogeneous biharmonic Laplace-Beltrami differential equation $Au=-\Delta \Delta u+V(x)u(x)=f(x)$ in the Hilbert space $H$ where $f(x)\in H$ as an application of the separation approach.  相似文献
