A Q-algebra can be represented as an operator algebra on an infinite dimensional Hilbert space. However we don’t know whether a finite n-dimensional Q-algebra can be represented on a Hilbert space of dimension n except n = 1, 2. It is known that a two dimensional Q-algebra is just a two dimensional commutative operator algebra on a two dimensional Hilbert space. In this paper we study a finite n-dimensional semisimple Q-algebra on a finite n-dimensional Hilbert space. In particular we describe a three dimensional Q-algebra of the disc algebra on a three dimensional Hilbert space. Our studies are related to the Pick interpolation problem for a uniform algebra.  相似文献

In this note, we study the Hilbert–Poincaré polynomials for the associated PBW-graded modules of simple modules for a simple complex Lie algebra. The computation of their degree can be reduced to modules of fundamental highest weight. We provide these degrees explicitly.  相似文献

If \mathfrakA{\mathfrak{A}} is a unital weak-* closed algebra of multiplication operators on a reproducing kernel Hilbert space which has the property \mathbbA1(1){\mathbb{A}_1(1)}, then the cyclic invariant subspaces index a Nevanlinna–Pick family of kernels. This yields an NP interpolation theorem for a wide class of algebras. In particular, it applies to many function spaces over the unit disk including Bergman space. We also show that the multiplier algebra of a complete NP space has \mathbbA1(1){\mathbb{A}_1(1)}, and thus this result applies to all of its subalgebras. A matrix version of this result is also established. It applies, in particular, to all unital weak-* closed subalgebras of H acting on Hardy space or on Bergman space.  相似文献

In this paper we study some problems concerning bigraded ideals. By introducing the concept of bigeneric initial ideal, we answer an open question about diagonal subalgebras and we give a necessary condition for a function to be the bigraded Hilbert function of a bigraded algebra. Moreover, we give an upper bound for the regularity of a bistable ideal in terms of the degrees of its generators.  相似文献

We show that ideal submodules and closed ternary ideals in Hilbert modules are the same. We use this insight as a little peg on which to hang a little note about interrelations with other notions regarding Hilbert modules. In Section 3, we show that the ternary ideals (and equivalent notions) merit fully, in terms of homomorphisms and quotients, to be called ideals of (not necessarily full) Hilbert modules. The properties to be checked are intrinsically formulated for the modules (without any reference to the algebra over which they are modules) in terms of their ternary structure. The proofs, instead, are motivated from a third equivalent notion, linking ideals (Section 2), and a Theorem (Section 3) that all extends nicely to (reduced) linking algebras. As an application, in Section 4, we introduce ternary extensions of Hilbert modules and prove most of the basic properties (some new even for the known notion of extensions of Hilbert modules), by reducing their proof to the well-known analogue theorems about extensions of C?–algebras. Finally, in Section 5, we propose several open problems that our method naturally suggests.

Constructive methods based on the Gröbner bases theory have been used many times in commutative algebra over the past 20 years, in particular, they allow the computation of such important invariants of manifolds given by systems of algebraic equations as their Hilbert polynomials. In differential and difference algebra, the analogous roles play characteristic sets.In this paper, algorithms for computations in differential and difference modules, which allow for the computation of characteristic sets (Gröbner bases) in differential, difference, and polynomial modules and differential (difference) dimension polynomials, are described. The algorithms are implemented in the algorithmic language REFAL.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of universal Jensen‘s equations in Banach modules over a unital C^*-algebra. It is applied to show the stability of universal Jensen‘s equations in a Hilbert module over a unital C^*-algebra. Moreover, we prove the stability of linear operators in a Hilbert module over a unital C^*-algebra.  相似文献

Nagata gave a fundamental sufficient condition on group actions on finitely generated commutative algebras for finite generation of the subalgebra of invariants. In this paper we consider groups acting on noncommutative algebras over a field of characteristic zero. We characterize all the T-ideals of the free associative algebra such that the algebra of invariants in the corresponding relatively free algebra is finitely generated for any group action from the class of Nagata. In particular, in the case of unitary algebras this condition is equivalent to the nilpotency of the algebra in Lie sense. As a consequence we extend the Hilbert-Nagata theorem on finite generation of the algebra of invariants to any finitely generated associative algebra which is Lie nilpotent. We also prove that the Hilbert series of the algebra of invariants of a group acting on a relatively free algebra with a non-matrix polynomial identity is rational, if the action satisfies the condition of Nagata.

Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity and any extended degree function can be thought of as complexity measures for the structure of finitely generated graded modules. A recent result of Doering, Gunston, and Vasconcelos shows that both can be compared in the case of a graded algebra. We extend this result to modules and analyze when the estimate is in fact an equality. A complete classification is obtained if we choose as extended degree the homological or the smallest extended degree. The corresponding algebras are characterized in three ways: by relations among the algebra generators, by using generic initial ideals, and by their Hilbert series.

Gelfand and Fuks have studied the cohomology of the Lie algebra of vector fields on a manifold. In this article, we generalize their main tools to compute the Leibniz cohomology, by extending the two spectral sequences associated to the diagonal and the order filtration. In particular, we determine some new generators for the diagonal Leibniz cohomology of the Lie algebra of vector fields on the circle.  相似文献

The notion of a quasi-free Hilbert module over a function algebra $\mathcal{A}$ consisting of holomorphic functions on a bounded domain $\Omega$ in complex m space is introduced. It is shown that quasi-free Hilbert modules correspond to the completion of the direct sum of a certain number of copies of the algebra $\mathcal{A}$. A Hilbert module is said to be weakly regular (respectively, regular) if there exists a module map from a quasi-free module with dense range (respectively, onto). A Hilbert module $\mathcal{M}$ is said to be compactly supported if there exists a constant $\beta$ satisfying $\|\varphi f\| \leq \beta \ |\varphi \| \textsl{X} \|f \|$ for some compact subset X of $\Omega$ and $\varphi$ in $\mathcal{A}$, f in $\mathcal{M}$. It is shown that if a Hilbert module is compactly supported then it is weakly regular. The paper identifies several other classes of Hilbert modules which are weakly regular. In addition, this result is extended to yield topologically exact resolutions of such modules by quasi-free ones.  相似文献

In Douglas et al. (2012) [9], the authors investigated a family of quotient Hilbert modules in the Cowen–Douglas class over the unit disk constructed from classical Hilbert modules such as the Hardy and Bergman modules. In this paper we extend the results to the multivariable case of higher multiplicity. Moreover, similarity as well as isomorphism results are obtained.  相似文献

In analogy with classical projective algebraic geometry, Hilbert functors can be defined for objects in any Abelian category. We study the moduli problem for such objects. Using Grothendieck's general framework. We show that with suitable hypotheses the Hilbert functor is representable by an algebraic space locally of finite type over the base field. For the category of the graded modules over a strongly Noetherian graded ring, the Hilbert functor of graded modules with a fixed Hilbert series is represented by a commutative projective scheme. For the projective scheme corresponding to a suitable noncommutative graded algebra, the Hilbert functor is represented by a countable union of commutative projective schemes.  相似文献

In this paper, using Larsson’s functor with irreducible 𝔰𝔩2-modules V, we construct a class of ?2-graded modules for the Virasoro-like algebra and its q-analogs. We determine the irreducibility of these modules for finite-dimensional or infinite-dimensional V using a unified method. In particular, these modules provide new irreducible weight modules with infinite-dimensional weight spaces for the corresponding algebras.  相似文献

In this paper we extend a result of Semrl stating that every 2-local automorphism of the full operator algebra on a separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space is an automorphism. In fact, besides separable Hilbert spaces, we obtain the same conclusion for the much larger class of Banach spaces with Schauder bases. The proof rests on an analogous statement concerning the 2-local automorphisms of matrix algebras for which we present a short proof. The need to get such a proof was formulated in Semrl's paper.

In this note, we show that a quasi-free Hilbert module R defined over the polydisk algebra with kernel function k(z,w) admits a unique minimal dilation (actually an isometric co-extension) to the Hardy module over the polydisk if and only if S ?1(z, w)k(z, w) is a positive kernel function, where S(z,w) is the Szegö kernel for the polydisk. Moreover, we establish the equivalence of such a factorization of the kernel function and a positivity condition, defined using the hereditary functional calculus, which was introduced earlier by Athavale [8] and Ambrozie, Englis and Müller [2]. An explicit realization of the dilation space is given along with the isometric embedding of the module R in it. The proof works for a wider class of Hilbert modules in which the Hardy module is replaced by more general quasi-free Hilbert modules such as the classical spaces on the polydisk or the unit ball in ? m . Some consequences of this more general result are then explored in the case of several natural function algebras.  相似文献

The Hilbert scheme of point modules was introduced by Artin–Tate–Van den Bergh to study non-commutative graded algebras. The key tool is the construction of a map from the algebra to a twisted ring on this Hilbert scheme. In this paper, we study moduli stacks of more general “fat” point modules, and show that there is a similar map to a twisted ring associated to the stack. This is used to provide a sufficient criterion for a non-commutative projective surface to be birationally PI. It is hoped that such a criterion will be useful in understanding Mike Artin?s conjecture on the birational classification of non-commutative surfaces.  相似文献
