This paper deals with notions of (equational) definability of principal ideals in subtractive varieties. These notions are first characterized in several different ways. The strongest notion (EDPI) is then further investigated. We introduce the variety of MINI algebras (a generalization of Hilbert algebras) and we show that they are a paradigm for subtractive EDPI varieties. Finally we deal with principal ideal operations, and in particular with the cases of meet and join of principal ideals being equationally definable. We study associative graded algebras that have a “complete flag” of cyclic modules with linear free resolutions, i.e., algebras over which there exist cyclic Koszul modules with any possible number of relations (from zero to the number of generators of the algebra). Commutative algebras with this property were studied in several papers by Conca and others. Here we present a noncommutative version of their construction.We introduce and study the notion of Koszul filtration in a noncommutative algebra and examine its connections with Koszul algebras and algebras with quadratic Grobner bases. We consider several examples, including monomial algebras, initially Koszul algebras, generic algebras, and algebras with one quadratic relation. The finite dimensional tame hereditary algebras are associated with the extended Dynkin diagrams. An indecomposable module over such an algebra is either preprojective or preinjective or lies in a family of tubes whose tubular type is the corresponding Dynkin diagram. The study of one-point extensions by simple regular modules in such tubes was initiated in [Ri].

We generalise this approach by starting out with algebras which are derived equivalent to a tame hereditary algebra and considering one-point extensions by modules which are simple regular in tubes in the derived category. If the obtained tubular type is again a Dynkin diagram these algebras are called derived Dynkin extensions.

Our main theorem says that a representation infinite algebra is derived equivalent to a tame hereditary algebra iff it is an iterated derived Dynkin extension of a tame concealed algebra. As application we get a new proof of a theorem in [AS] about domestic tubular branch enlargements which uses the derived category instead of combinatorial arguments.  相似文献

For any object L in the category of precrossed modules in Lie algebras PXLie, we construct the object Act(L), which we call the actor of this object. From this construction, we derive the notions of action, center, semidirect product, derivation, commutator, and abelian precrossed module in PXLie. We show that the notion of action is equivalent to the one given in semi-abelian categories, and Act(L) is the split extension classifier for L. In the case of a crossed module in Lie algebras we show how to recover its actor in the category of crossed modules from its actor in the category of precrossed modules.  相似文献

Abstract

The notion of σ-amenability for Banach algebras and its related notions were introduced and extensively studied by M.S. Moslehian and A.N. Motlagh in [10]. We develop these notions parallel to the amenability of Banach algebras introduced by B.E. Johnson in [5]. Briefly, we investigate σ-contractibility and σ-biprojectivity of Banach algebras, which are extensions of usual notions of contractibility and biprojectivity, respectively, where σ is a bounded endomorphism of the corresponding Banach algebra. We also give the notion σ-diagonal. Then we verify relations between σ-contractibility, σ-biprojectivity and the existence of a σ-diagonal for a Banach algebra, when σ has dense range or is an idempotent. Moreover, we obtain some hereditary properties of these concepts.  相似文献

Given a topological algebra A, we investigate when the categories of all rational A-modules and of finite-dimensional rational modules are closed under extensions inside the category of A-modules. We give a complete characterization of these two properties, in terms of a topological and a homological condition, for complete algebras. We also give connections to other important notions in coalgebra theory such as coreflexive coalgebras. In particular, we are able to generalize many previously known partial results and answer some questions in this direction, and obtain large classes of coalgebras for which rational modules are closed under extensions as well as various examples where this is not true.  相似文献

在BL-代数中引入模糊超滤子和模糊固执滤子的概念,证明了如下条件对于BL-代数的非常数模糊滤子f来说是等价的:(1)f是布尔的和素的,(2)f是蕴涵的和素的,(3)f是超的,(4)f是固执的。应用模糊正蕴涵滤子给出G-代数的若干特征性质。提出BL-代数模糊理想的概念,给出一些重要例子,并通过例子说明在BL-代数中模糊理想一般不能由模糊滤子导出。同时,从模糊理想出发构造了商BL-代数,并建立了相应的同态基本定理。最后,研究了BL-代数的几类模糊理想及其相互关系,给出模糊布尔理想、模糊素理想、模糊超理想的特征性质。  相似文献

Many observations about coalgebras were inspired by comparable situations for algebras. Despite the prominent role of prime algebras, the theory of a corresponding notion for coalgebras was not well understood so far. Coalgebras C over fields may be called coprime provided the dual algebra C* is prime. This definition, however, is not intrinsic—it strongly depends on the base ring being a field. The purpose of the article is to provide a better understanding of related notions for coalgebras over commutative rings by employing traditional methods from (co)module theory, in particular (pre)torsion theory.

Dualizing classical primeness condition, coprimeness can be defined for modules and algebras. These notions are developed for modules and then applied to comodules. We consider prime and coprime, fully prime and fully coprime, strongly prime and strongly coprime modules and comodules. In particular, we obtain various characterisations of prime and coprime coalgebras over rings and fields.  相似文献

We introduce hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras as an algebraic analogue of hom-Lie algebroids, and systematically describe a cohomology complex by considering coefficient modules. We define the notion of extensions for hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras. In the sequel, we deduce a characterization of low dimensional cohomology spaces in terms of the group of automorphisms of certain abelian extension and the equivalence classes of those abelian extensions in the category of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras, respectively. We also construct a canonical example of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebra associated to a given Poisson algebra and an automorphism.  相似文献

We characterize various types of ideals in 1-Munn algebras with a bounded approximate identity, in terms of the ideals of their underlying algebras. Moreover, we show the correspondence between different types of *-representations of 1-Munn algebras and *-representations of their underlying algebras. In the context of semigroup algebras, .rst we prove the conjecture which was proposed in [8]. Then we apply the results of the first part to build various representations of unital semigroup algebras of completely 0-simple inverse semigroups. This generalizes some of the Barnes results [1] with different and much shorter proofs.  相似文献

The theory of operator ideals on the infinite-dimensional separable Hilbert space is equivalent to the theory of shift-monotone sequence ideals. In particular, traces correspond to ${\frac {1}{2} S_+}$ -invariant linear forms, where S + is the forward shift. Important consequences of these facts are presented. We concentrate on the study of sequence ideals, which are easier to handle. So the reader should not be surprised that operator ideals play almost no role. All results, however, can be translated into the context of operators. In this way, algebraic and topological classifications of operator ideals are obtained.  相似文献

Following the idea of Galois-type extensions and entwining structures, we define the notion of a principal extension of noncommutative algebras. We show that modules associated to such extensions via finite-dimensional corepresentations are finitely generated projective, and determine an explicit formula for the Chern character applied to the modules so obtained. We show that varieties of algebras over abstract clones and over the corresponding operads are rationally equivalent. We introduce the class of operads (which we call commutative for definiteness) such that the varieties of algebras over these operads resemble in a sense categories of modules over commutative rings. In particular, the notions of a polylinear mapping and the tensor product of algebras. The categories of modules over commutative rings and the category of convexors are examples of varieties over commutative operads. By analogy with the theory of linear multioperator algebras, we develop a theory of C-linear multioperator algebras; in particular, of algebras, defined by C-polylinear identities (here C is a commutative operad). We introduce and study symmetric C-linear operads. The main result of this article is as follows: A variety of C-linear multioperator algebras is defined by C-polylinear identities if and only if it is rationally equivalent to a variety of algebras over a symmetric C-linear operad.  相似文献

Abstract

The paper generalizes some of our previous results on quasi-hereditary Koszul algebras to graded standardly stratified Koszul algebras. The main result states that the class of standardly stratified algebras for which the left standard modules as well as the right proper standard modules possess a linear projective resolution – the so called linearly stratified algebras – is closed under forming their Yoneda extension algebras. This is proved using the technique of Hilbert and Poincaré series of the corresponding modules.

This note discusses a framework for the investigation of the prime spectrum of an associative algebra A that is equipped with an action of a Hopf algebra H. In particular, we study a notion of H-rationality for ideals of A and comment on a possible Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence for H-prime ideals of A.

The notion of a synaptic algebra was introduced by David Foulis. Synaptic algebras unite the notions of an order-unit normed space, a special Jordan algebra, a convex effect algebra and an orthomodular lattice. In this note we study quadratic ideals in synaptic algebras which reflect its Jordan algebra structure. We show that projections contained in a quadratic ideal from a p-ideal in the orthomodular lattice of projections in the synaptic algebra and we find a characterization of those quadratic ideals which are generated by their projections.  相似文献
