Zhou and Tian [J.B. Zhou, L.X. Tian, A type of bounded travelling wave solutions for the Fornberg-Whitham equation, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 346 (2008) 255-261] successfully found a type of bounded travelling wave solutions of the Fornberg-Whitham equation. In this paper, we improve the previous result by using the phase portrait analytical technology. Moreover, some smooth periodic wave, smooth solitary wave, periodic cusp wave and loop-soliton solutions are given, and the numerical simulation is made. The results show that our theoretical analysis agrees with the numerical simulation.  相似文献

By using the bifurcation theory of dynamical systems to the generalized Kadomtsov-Petviashvili-Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equation, the existence of solitary wave solutions, compactons solution, non-smooth periodic cusp wave solutions and uncountably infinite many smooth periodic wave solutions is obtained. Under different parametric conditions, various sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of the above solutions are given. The traveling wave solutions of the magma equation are studied by using the approach of dynamical systems and the theory of bifurcations. With the aid of Maple, all bifurcations and phase portraits in the parametric space are obtained. Under different regions of parametric space, various sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of solitary wave, periodic wave and breaking wave solutions are given. Moreover, the reason for appearance of breaking waves is explained.  相似文献

By using the method of planar dynamical systems to an integrable nonlinear wave equation, the existence of periodic travelling wave, solitary wave and kink wave solutions is proved in the different parametric conditions. The phase portraits of the travelling wave system are given. It can be shown that the existence of singular curves in the travelling wave system is the reason why the travelling wave solutions lose their smoothness. Moreover, the so-called W/M-shaped solitary wave solutions are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the traveling wave solutions for a complex short-pulse equation of both focusing and defocusing types, which governs the propagation of ultrashort pulses in nonlinear optical fibers. It can be viewed as an analog of the nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equation in the ultrashort-pulse regime. The corresponding traveling wave systems of the equivalent complex short-pulse equations are two singular planar dynamical systems with four singular straight lines. By using the method of dynamical systems, bifurcation diagrams and explicit exact parametric representations of the solutions are given, including solitary wave solution, periodic wave solution, peakon solution, periodic peakon solution and compacton solution under different parameter conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we devise a simple way to explicitly construct the Riemann theta function periodic wave solution of the nonlinear partial differential equation. The resulting theory is applied to the Hirota–Satsuma shallow water wave equation. Bilinear forms are presented to explicitly construct periodic wave solutions based on a multidimensional Riemann theta function. We obtain the one‐periodic and two‐periodic wave solutions of the equation. The relations between the periodic wave solutions and soliton solutions are rigorously established. Under investigation in this paper is an extended Korteweg–de Vries equation. Via Bell polynomial approach and symbolic computation, this equation is transformed into two kinds of bilinear equations by choosing different coefficients, namely KdV–SK‐type equation and KdV–Lax‐type equation. On the one hand, N‐soliton solutions, bilinear Bäcklund transformation, Lax pair, Darboux covariant Lax pair, and infinite conservation laws of the KdV–Lax‐type equation are constructed. On the other hand, on the basis of Hirota bilinear method and Riemann theta function, quasiperiodic wave solution of the KdV–SK‐type equation is also presented, and the exact relation between the one periodic wave solution and the one soliton solution is established. In this paper, the Fornberg-Whitham equation with linear dispersion term is investigated by employing the bifurcation method of dynamical systems. As a result, the existence of smooth and non-smooth traveling wave solutions is obtained. The time-delayed Burgers-Fisher equation is very important model to forest fire, population growth, Neolithic transitions, the interaction between the reaction mechanism, convection effect and diffusion transport, etc. In this paper, the solitary wave solutions of the generalized time-delayed Burgers-Fisher equation with positive fractional power terms are derived with the aid of a subsidiary high-order ODE, and the solitary wave solutions of the special type of generalized time-delayed Burgers-Fisher equation are presented. From the expressions of the solitary wave solutions, it is easy to obtain how the time-delayed constant τ works upon soliton velocity and width of the soliton, and these exact solutions are very important to understand the physical mechanism of the phenomena described by the time-delayed Burgers-Fisher equation.  相似文献

Travelling wave solutions for the general modified CH-DP equation ut − uxxt + αu2ux − βuxuxx = uuxxx are developed. By using the dynamical system method, a peakon and a dark soliton are found to coexist for the same wave speed. Exact explicit blow-up solutions are given. A novel type of exact rogue wave is found for the (1+1)-dimensional Ito equation, which is generated by the interaction solution between an algebraic localized soliton (named “lump”) and an exponentially localized twin soliton. In addition, the interaction solution among triangular periodic wave and twin soliton is also proposed. Utilizing the methods of dynamical system theory, the Dullin-Gottwald-Holm equation is studied in this paper. The dynamical behaviors of the traveling wave solutions and their bifurcations are presented in different parameter regions. In this study, we use two direct algebraic methods to solve a fourth-order dispersive cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation, which is used to describe the propagation of optical pulse in a medium exhibiting a parabolic nonlinearity law. By using complex envelope ansatz method, we first obtain a new dark soliton and bright soliton, which may approach nonzero when the time variable approaches infinity. Then a series of analytical exact solutions are constructed by means of F-expansion method. These solutions include solitary wave solutions of the bell shape, solitary wave solutions of the kink shape, and periodic wave solutions of Jacobian elliptic function.  相似文献

In this paper, the traveling wave solutions for a generalized Camassa-Holm equation $u_t-u_{xxt}=\frac{1}{2}(p+1)(p+2)u^pu_x-\frac{1}{2}p(p-1)u^{p-2}u_x^3-2pu^{p-1}u_xu_{xx}-u^pu_{xxx}$ are investigated. By using the bifurcation method of dynamical systems, three major results for this equation are highlighted. First, there are one or two singular straight lines in the two-dimensional system under some different conditions. Second, all the bifurcations of the generalized Camassa-Holm equation are given for $p$ either positive or negative integer. Third, we prove that the corresponding traveling wave system of this equation possesses peakon, smooth solitary wave solution, kink and anti-kink wave solution, and periodic wave solutions.  相似文献
