The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new system of generalized resolvent equations with corresponding system of variational inclusions in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. We establish an equivalence relation between system of generalized resolvent equations and system of variational inclusions. The iterative algorithms for finding the approximate solutions of system of generalized resolvent equations are proposed. The convergence of approximate solutions of system of generalized resolvent equations obtained by the proposed iterative algorithm is also studied.   相似文献

This paper deals with non-integrability criteria, based on differential Galois theory and requiring the use of higher order variational equations. A general methodology is presented to deal with these problems. We display a family of Hamiltonian systems which require the use of order k variational equations, for arbitrary values of k, to prove non-integrability. Moreover, using third order variational equations we prove the non-integrability of a non-linear spring-pendulum problem for the values of the parameter that can not be decided using first order variational equations.   相似文献

This paper is concerned with a system of variational wave equations which is the Euler–Lagrange equations of a variational principle arising in the theory of nematic liquid crystals and a few other physical contexts. The global existence of an energy-conservative weak solution to its Cauchy problem for initial data of finite energy is established by using the method of energy-dependent coordinates and the Young measure theory.  相似文献

从粘弹性材料的Boltzmann迭加原理和带空洞材料的线弹性本构关系出发,提出了一种损伤粘弹性材料具有广义力场的本构模型.应用变积方法得到了以卷积形式表示的泛函,并建立了损伤粘弹性固体的广义变分原理和广义势能原理.把它们应用于带损伤的粘弹性Timoshenko梁,得到了Timoshenko梁的统一的运动微分方程、初始条件和边界条件. 这些广义变分原理为近似求解带损伤的粘弹性问题提供了一条途径.  相似文献

Lepage 2-forms appear in the variational sequence as representatives of the classes of 2-forms. In the theory of ordinary differential equations on jet bundles they are used to construct exterior differential systems associated with the equations and to study solutions, and help to solve the inverse problem of the calculus of variations: since variational equations are characterized by Lepage 2-forms that are closed. In this paper, a general setting for Lepage forms in the variational sequence is presented, and Lepage 2-forms in the theory of second-order differential equations in general and of variational equations in particular, are investigated in detail. In this paper we consider systems of quasilinear elliptic variational inequalities, and prove the existence of minimal and maximal (in the set theoretical sense) solutions within some ordered interval of an appropriately defined pair of sub- and supersolutions. We show that the notion of sub- and supersolutions of variational inequalities introduced here is consistent with the usual notion of sub-supersolutions for (variational) equations. For weakly coupled quasimonotone systems of variational inequalities the existence of smallest and greatest solutions is proved.  相似文献

Paper is devoted to the solvability analysis of variational equations obtained by linearization of the Euler-Poisson equations for the symmetric rigid body with a fixed point on the equatorial plain. In this case Euler-Poisson equations have two pendulum like particular solutions. Symmetric heavy top is integrable only in four famous cases. In this paper is shown that a family of cases can be distinguished such that Euler-Poisson equations are not integrable but variational equations along particular solutions are solvable. The connection of this result with analysis made in XIX century by R. Liouville is also discussed.  相似文献

Solving a variational inequality problem is equivalent to finding a solution of a system of nonsmooth equations. Recently, we proposed an implicit method, which solves monotone variational inequality problem via solving a series of systems of nonlinear smooth (whenever the operator is smooth) equations. It can exploit the facilities of the classical Newton–like methods for smooth equations. In this paper, we extend the method to solve a class of general variational inequality problems Moreover, we improve the implicit method to allow inexact solutions of the systems of nonlinear equations at each iteration. We present a certain analog for variational inequalities of the classical result on bifurcation from simple eigenvalues of Crandall and Rabinowitz. In other words, we describe the existence and local uniqueness of smooth families of nontrivial solutions to variational inequalities, bifurcating from a trivial solution family at certain points which could be called simple eigenvalues of the homogenized variational inequality. If the bifurcation parameter is one-dimensional, the main difference between the case of equations and the case of variational inequalities (when the cone is not a linear subspace) is the following: For equations two smooth half-branches bifurcate, for inequalities only one. The proofs are based on scaling techniques and on the implicit function theorem. The abstract results are applied to a fourth order ODE with pointwise unilateral conditions (an obstacle problem for a beam with the compression force as the bifurcation parameter).  相似文献

A simple invariant characterization of the scalar fourth-order ordinary differential equations which admit a variational multiplier is given. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a multiplier are expressed in terms of the vanishing of two relative invariants which can be associated with any fourth-order equation through the application of Cartan's equivalence method. The solution to the inverse problem for fourth-order scalar equations provides the solution to an equivalence problem for second-order Lagrangians, as well as the precise relationship between the symmetry algebra of a variational equation and the divergence symmetry algebra of the associated Lagrangian.

We consider an optimal control problem for the obstacle problem with an elliptic variational inequality. The obstacle function which is the control function is assumed in H2. We use an approximate technique to introduce a family of problems governed by variational equations. We prove optimal solutions existence and give necessary optimality conditions. The variational iteration method is used to solve three kinds of nonlinear partial differential equations, coupled nonlinear reaction diffusion equations, Hirota–Satsuma coupled KdV system and Drinefel’d–Sokolov–Wilson equations. Numerical solutions obtained by the variational iteration method are compared with the exact solutions, revealing that the obtained solutions are of high accuracy. He's variational iteration method is introduced to overcome the difficulty arising in calculating Adomian polynomial in Adomian method. The method is straightforward and concise, and it can also be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel variational method for treating three-dimensional rotational Navier-Stokes equations in flow channel of turbomachines. The proposed method establishes a new semi-geodesic coordinate system on the central surface of blades. From the perspective of differential geometry, the system under concern is split into a set of membrane operator equations on two-dimensional manifolds and bending operator equations along hub circle. The third variable of the new coordinate system is approximated by the central difference scheme. We derive a new formulation of two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations with three components on the manifolds in the variational sense. The well-posedness of the proposed variational formulation is rigorously justified.  相似文献

A direct method is proposed for solving variational problems in which an extremal is represented by an infinite series in terms of a complete system of basis functions. Taking into account the boundary conditions gives all the necessary conditions of the classical calculus of variations, that is, the Euler-Lagrange equations, transversality conditions, Erdmann-Weierstrass conditions, etc. The penalty function method reduces conditional extremum problems to variational ones in which the isoperimetric conditions described by constraint equations are taken into account by Lagrangian multipliers. The direct method proposed is applied to functionals depending on functions of one or two variables.  相似文献

In this paper, the existence of solutions for the fourth-order linear and nonlinear differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses is studied by applying variational methods.
