We consider the second-order differential equation u(t) + q(t)f(t,u(t),u (t)) = 0,0 t 1,subject to three-point boundry condition u(0) = 0,u(1) = a 0 u(ξ 0 ),or to m-point boundary conditionu (0) = m2 i=1 b i u (ξ i ),u(1) = m2 i=1 a i u(ξ i ).We show the existence of at least three positive solutions of the above multi-point boundary-value problem by applying a new fixed-point theorem introduced by Avery and Peterson.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the existence results for fractional differential equations of the form

We present some new necessary and sufficient conditions for the oscillation of second order nonlinear dynamic equation $$\bigl(a\bigl(x^{\Delta }\bigr)^{\alpha }\bigr)^{\Delta }(t)+q(t)x^{\beta }(t)=0$$ on an arbitrary time scale $\mathbb{T}$ , where α and β are ratios of positive odd integers, a and q are positive rd-continuous functions on $\mathbb{T}$ . Comparison results with the inequality $$\bigl(a\bigl(x^{\Delta }\bigr)^{\alpha }\bigr)^{\Delta }(t)+q(t)x^{\beta }(t)\leqslant 0\quad (\geqslant 0)$$ are established and application to neutral equations of the form $$\bigl(a(t)\bigl(\bigl[x(t)+p(t)x[\tau (t)]\bigr]^{\Delta }\bigr)^{\alpha }\bigr)^{\Delta }+q(t)x^{\beta }\bigl[g(t)\bigr]=0$$ are investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the following second-order Emden-Fowler neutral delay differential equation $$(r(t)z'(t) )'+q(t)|x(\sigma(t))|^{\gamma-1}x(\sigma(t))=0,$$ where $z(t)=x(t)+p(t)x(t-\tau),\ \int_{t_{0}}^{\infty}\frac{1}{r(t)}\mathrm{d}t<\infty$ . The peak algebra is a unital subalgebra of the symmetric group algebra, linearly spanned by sums of permutations with a common set of peaks. By exploiting the combinatorics of sparse subsets of [n−1] (and of certain classes of compositions of n called almost-odd and thin), we construct three new linear bases of . We discuss two peak analogs of the first Eulerian idempotent and construct a basis of semi-idempotent elements for the peak algebra. We use these bases to describe the Jacobson radical of and to characterize the elements of in terms of the canonical action of the symmetric groups on the tensor algebra of a vector space. We define a chain of ideals of , j = 0,..., , such that is the linear span of sums of permutations with a common set of interior peaks and is the peak algebra. By modifying a construction for Hadamard (Menon) difference sets we construct two infinite families of negative Latin square type partial difference sets in groups of the form where p is any odd prime. One of these families has the well-known Paley parameters, which had previously only been constructed in p-groups. This provides new constructions of Hadamard matrices and implies the existence of many new strongly regular graphs including some that are conference graphs. As a corollary, we are able to construct Paley–Hadamard difference sets of the Stanton-Sprott family in groups of the form when is a prime power. These are new parameters for such difference sets.   相似文献

where \(D_{q}^{\alpha }\) denotes the Riemann–Liouville q-derivative of order \(\alpha \), \(0<\eta <1\) and \(1-\beta \eta ^{\alpha -3}>0\). Our analysis relies a fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets. An example to illustrate our results is given.

In this paper we solve moment problems for Poisson transforms and, more generally, for completely positive linear maps on unital C*-algebras generated by universal row contractions associated with , the free semigroup with n generators. This class of C*-algebras includes the Cuntz-Toeplitz algebra (resp. ) generated by the creation operators on the full (resp. symmetric, or anti-symmetric)) Fock space with n generators. As consequences, we obtain characterizations for the orbits of contractive Hilbert modules over complex free semigroup algebras such as ,and, more generally, the quotient algebra , where J is an arbitrary two-sided ideal of . All these results are extended to the generalized Cuntz algebra , where Gi+ are the positive cones ofdiscrete subgroups Gi+ of the real line . We consider the Skyrme model using the explicit parameterization of the rotation group through elements of its algebra. In this paper, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a new fourth-order differential equation boundary value problem:{u(4)(t) = f(t, u(t))-b, 0 t 1,u(0) = u′(0) = u′(1) = u(3)(1) = 0,where f ∈ C([0,1] ×(-∞,+∞),(-∞, +∞)),b ≥ 0 is a constant.
