Existence and uniqueness results for third-order nonlinear differential systems

Sufficient conditions are given for the existence of solutions to third order boundary value problems for nonlinear differential systems. Some appropriate conditions are given to guarantee that the Nagumo condition is satisfied. By constructing appropriate a lower solution-upper solution pair, a concept that is defined in this paper, the uniqueness result of the problem is also established. The emphasis here is that the differential systems has nonlinear dependence on all over order derivatives and the boundary conditions are nonlinear.

Impact of boundary conditions on entrainment and transport in gravity currents

Gravity currents have been studied numerically and experimentally both in the laboratory and in the ocean. The question of appropriate boundary conditions is still challenging for most complex flows. Gravity currents make no exception—appropriate, physically and mathematically sound boundary conditions are yet to be found. This task is further complicated by the technical limitations imposed by the current oceanographic techniques.     

Persistence and periodic orbits for two-species nonautonomous diffusion lotka-volterra models

This paper considers a competing system in which one of two species can diffuse between two patches, while the other is confined to one patch and cannot diffuse. It is proved that the system can be made persistent under some appropriate conditions even if the competitive patch is not persistent without diffusion. Further, if the system is a periodic system, it can have a strictly positive periodic orbit which is globally asymptotically stable under the appropriate conditions.     

PERSISTENCE AND GLOBAL STABILITY FOR A THREE-SPECIES RATIO-DEPENDENT PREDATOR-PREY SYSTEM WITH TIME DELAYS IN TWO-PATCH ENVIRONMENTS

A three-species ratio-dependent predator-prey diffusion model with time de-lays is investigated. It is shown that the system is uniformly persistent under some ap-propriate conditions, and sufficient conditions are obtained for the global stability of the positive equilibrium of the system.     

Persistence and stability for a two-species ratio-dependent predator-prey system with distributed time delay

A two-species ratio-dependent predator-prey model with distributed time delay is investigated. It is shown that the system is persistent under some appropriate conditions, and sufficient conditions are obtained for both the local and global stability of the positive equilibrium of the system.

Attractivity in a Delayed Three—species Ratio—dependent Predator—prey System without Dominating Instantaneous Negative Feedback

A delayed three-species ratio-dependent predator-prey food-chain model without dominating in-stantaneous negative feedback is investigated. It is shown that the system is permanent under some appropriate conditions, and sufficient conditions are derived for the global attractivity of the positive equilibrium of the system.

A n-species ratio-dependent predator-prey food-chain model with time delays is investigated. It is shown that the system is permanent under some appropriate conditions, and sufficient conditions are obtained for the global stability of the positive equilibrium of the system.     

Eigenvalues in Non-Linear Potential Theory

In this work, we study the existence of eigenvalues for a type of non-linear equations and we give some conditions to get positive eigenfunctions. Particularly, we show that under some appropriate conditions, the set of eigenvalues is an interval.

Evolution equations with white-noise boundary conditions

The paper is devoted to nonlinear evolution equations with nonhomogenous boundary conditions of white noise type. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions in the linear case are given. It is also shown that if the nonlinearity satisfies appropriate dissipativity conditions the nonlinear equation has a solution as well. The results are applied to equations with polynomial nonlinearities     

Persistence and Global Stability in a Delayed Gause-Type Predator-Prey System without Dominating Instantaneous Negative Feedbacks

A delayed Gause-type predator-prey system without dominating instantaneous negative feedbacks is investigated. It is proved that the system is uniformly persistent under some appropriate conditions. By means of constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional, sufficient conditions are derived for the local and global asymptotic stability of the positive equilibrium of the system.
