关于Locale范畴反射子范畴的注解

利用Locale中的完全正则元和零维元构造性地给出了任意Locale的完全正则反射以及零维反射的描述,并且对于满足‘(<)'关系插入性的Locale,特别地,对正规Locale,证明了全体正则元构成的Locale是其正则反射.进而,利用平稳(flat)子Locale的扩张引理给出了Locale的紧完全正则反射,紧零维反射以及紧正则反射的构造性描述.

一类仿紧连通空间的几乎开映像

讨论了包含仿紧连通空间的一些广义度量空间类的映射性质,证明了T1的连通第一可数空间是连通Lasnev空间的几乎开映像,部分回答了1998年Tkachuk关于连通空间逆像的一个问题;证明了T1的连通的具有点Gδ性质的空间是连通M1空间的几乎开映像,其中建立了M1空间的一个映射定理,回答了1976年Nyikos提出的一个问题.     

一类数字映射的全局结构

本文讨论映射T_n:x→[x~2]_n的全局结构.T_2具有对称的不连通子结构的性质和[1]用计算机得到的结果一致.但当n=3时,这些子结构不再具有对称性了.本文得到随n增大时T_n的全局分叉结构,并得到了映射T_n,μ:x→[μx~2]_n的类似结果.     

拟共形映射基本定理及复方程组的一类边值问题

本文首先给出一阶复方程于单连通区域上拟共形映射的存在唯一性定理;然后讨论一阶线性椭圆型复方程组于多连通区域上的一类边值问题。     

共形映射中的边界对应

本文研究区域在边界点处的局部几何构造是如何决定映射函数的分析性质的.我们把区域的边界点分成简单边界点和复杂边界点两类,并证明:(i)W∈?G是G的简单边界点当且仅当A(w,f)=f^-1(w).(ii)当G有界时,G中任何解析单叶函数没有koebe弧的充要条件是G的每个边界点都是简单边界点.(iii)复平面中的紧集A是局部连通集当且仅当它的余集的每个边界点都是简单边界点,并且A有有限个连通分支.     

关于连通图的k阶幂图的几个性质

本文研究了简单连通图的 k 阶幂图的一些性质,给出了有关边连通、局部连通和叶连通的结果,以及有关泛圈和泛连通的结果。     

向量似变分不等式解的存在性及解集的稳定性

本文首先得到一类广义向量似变分不等式问题的解的存在性定理,然后利用usco映射的性质,讨论广义向量似变分不等式的解集的通有稳定性,得到大多数(在Baire分类意义下)广义向量似变分不等式问题的解集是稳定的;另外还引入广义向量似变分不等式解集的本质连通区的概念,并证明了满足一定连续性、凸性条件的广义向量似变分不等式的解集至少存在一个本质连通区.     

Manpower planning procedures for hierarchical manpower systems

In this paper, a model which describes manpower planning procedures for a hierarchical system having certain desired properties to be achieved is presented. These properties will act as constraints on the system. It will be assumed that eventual, desired properties are achieved gradually over a period of time. Promotion policies will be wastagelinked and designed to satisfy vacancy-expansion demands. The model will be applied to data from a group of English County Police Constabularies.     

Modelling of Marginally Regular Bivariate Counting Process and its Application to Shock Model

In this paper, we develop a new class of bivariate counting processes that have ‘marginal regularity’ property. But, the ‘pooled processes’ in the developed class of bivariate counting processes are not regular. Therefore, the proposed class of processes allows simultaneous occurrences of two types of events, which can be applicable in practical modeling of counting events. Initially, some basic properties of the new class of bivariate counting processes will be discussed. Based on the obtained properties, the joint distributions of the numbers of events in time intervals will be derived and the dependence structure of the bivariate process will be discussed. Furthermore, the marginal and conditional processes will be studied. The application of the proposed bivariate counting process to a shock model will also be considered. In addition, the generalization to the multivariate counting processes will be discussed briefly.     

On a two-component Degasperis–Procesi shallow water system

We consider a two-component Degasperis–Procesi system which arises in shallow water theory. We analyze some aspects of blow up mechanism, traveling wave solutions and the persistence properties. Firstly, we discuss the local well-posedness and blow up criterion; a new blow up criterion for this system with the initial odd condition will be established. Finally, the persistence properties of strong solutions will also be investigated.

In this work a new unitary similarity transformation of a normal matrix to complex symmetric form will be discussed. A constructive proof as well as some properties and examples will be given.

On a system of difference equations arising in the cyclic reduction

Cyclic reduction is a powerful technique in numerical linear algebra for solving tridiagonal systems. It can be classified in the class of divide and conquer methods. Some of its surprising properties have been studied recently essentially in the case of diagonally dominant matrices. In this paper the case of Toeplitz matrices will be considered. A complete analysis of the properties of the cyclic reduction will be done by studing an associate system of nonlinear difference equations.     

Curvature properties of anti-Kähler–Codazzi manifolds

In this paper we shall consider a new class of integrable almost anti-Hermitian manifolds, which will be called anti-Kähler–Codazzi manifolds, and we will investigate their curvature properties.     

Relevance and Relationalism

This paper will provide support for relationalism; the claim that the identity of objects is constituted by the totality of their relations to other things in the world. I will consider how Kit Fine’s criticisms of essentialism within modal logic not only highlight the inability of modal logic to account for essential properties but also arouse suspicion surrounding the possibility of nonrelational properties. I will claim that Fine’s criticisms, together with concerns surrounding Hempel’s paradox, show that it is not possible to provide a satisfactory account of certain properties in abstraction from their place within a wider context. Next, we will shift attention to natural kinds and consider the notion that relevance plays in metaphysical accounts of identity, by examining Peter Geach’s notion of relative identity. I will argue that the intensional relation between subject and object must be included in a satisfactory account of metaphysical identity.
