We introduce a class of continuous completely regular functions satisfying the N-property. We obtain a decomposition of an arbitrary continuous function into the sum of two functions the first of which is completely regular and the second does not enjoy the N-property. We define a class of strongly regular Borel functions for which we prove the Luzin N-property. We demonstrate that the image of every Lebesgue measurable set of a strongly regular function is measurable. From an arbitrary Borel function we extract a strongly regular function and a function that does not enjoy the N-property.  相似文献

The paper gives a survey of results completely solving the differential contour-solid problem of analytic functions in an open subset G of the complex plane, which was discussed as an open problem at the informal seminar held in 1994 in Zurich by participants of the International Congress of Mathematicians. This problem has a long prehistory and includes questions (unsolved at that time) concerning conditions of validity of differential contour-solid statements on the continuous extendability of a derivative to boundary points and on the differentiability of an analytic function at boundary points of the set G. In June, 1995, the author established that these statements are always true for arbitrary open sets G and any boundary points. These and more general theorems are given in this paper. We also present some other results, among which contour-solid theorems and a representation formula for the generalized solution of the Dirichlet problem for the derivative of a function should be mentioned.  相似文献

This paper sharpens the author’s previous results concerning the completely regular growth of an entire function of exponential type all of whose zeros are simple, forming a sequence Λ = {λk} k=1 . For a function with real zeros, we write the growth regularity conditions (on the real axis and on the entire plane) in terms of lower bounds only for the absolute value of the derivative at the points λk. We also obtain an analog of Krein’s theorem concerning the functions whose inverse can be expanded in the corresponding series of simple fractions.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is twofold. On the one hand, we enrich from a geometrical point of view the theory of octonionic slice regular functions. We first prove a boundary Schwarz lemma for slice regular self-mappings of the open unit ball of the octonionic space. As applications, we obtain two Landau–Toeplitz type theorems for slice regular functions with respect to regular diameter and slice diameter, respectively, together with a Cauchy type estimate. Along with these results, we introduce some new and useful ideas, which also allow us to prove the minimum principle and one version of the open mapping theorem. On the other hand, we adopt a completely new approach to strengthen a version of boundary Schwarz lemma first proved in Ren and Wang (Trans Am Math Soc 369:861–885, 2017) for quaternionic slice regular functions. Our quaternionic boundary Schwarz lemma with optimal estimate improves considerably a well-known Osserman type estimate and provides additionally all the extremal functions.  相似文献

We generalize the outer subdifferential construction suggested by Cánovas, Henrion, López and Parra for max type functions to pointwise minima of regular Lipschitz functions. We also answer an open question about the relation between the outer subdifferential of the support of a regular function and the end set of its subdifferential posed by Li, Meng and Yang.  相似文献

Summary The Euler-Maclaurin summation formula and its harmonic analysis (Poisson) are applied to the case of functions which are completely monotone on an open half-line. What thus results is a curious class of Fourier series, which can be determined explicitly and which represent completely monotone functions on the first half of the period. A by-product is the complete monotony (on the first half-period) of the Bernoulli functions, whether the index is integral or fractional.  相似文献

The present paper is devoted to generalizations of the Dieudonné theorem claiming that the convergence of sequences of regular Borelian measures is preserved under the passage from a system of open subsets of a compact metric space to the class of all Borelian subsets of this space. The Dieudonné theorem is proved in the case for which the set functions are weakly regular, nonadditive, defined on an algebra of sets that contains the class of open subsets of an arbitrary σ-topological space, and take values in a uniform space. In contexts in which the principle of dependent choice may not be available, as toposes or Constructive Set Theory, standard locale theoretic results related to complete regularity may fail to hold. To resolve this difficulty, B. Banaschewski and A. Pultr introduced strongly regular locales. Unfortunately, Banaschewski and Pultr's notion relies on non-constructive set existence principles that hinder its use in Constructive Set Theory. In this article, a fully constructive formulation of strong regularity for locales is introduced by replacing non-constructive set existence with coinductive set definitions, and exploiting the Relation Reflection Scheme. As an application, every strongly regular locale L is proved to have a compact regular compactification. The construction of this compactification is then used to derive the main result of this article: a characterization of locale compactifications (and thus, classically, of the compactifications of a space) in terms of their ability of extending continuous functions with compact regular codomains. Finally, an open problem related to the existence of the compact regular reflection of a locale is presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain several extensions to the quaternionic setting of some results concerning the approximation by polynomials of functions continuous on a compact set and holomorphic in its interior. To this end, we prove an analog of the Riemann mapping theorem for a subclass of open sets, whose validity involves precisely the slice regular functions for which the composition remains slice regular. The results include approximation on compact starlike sets and compact axially symmetric sets. 在Rn的半空间{x∈Rn,xn>0}中,得到了具有Dirichlet数据的Poisson积分在自然的积分收敛条件下满足增长性质u(x)=o(|x|),这里|x|→∞,这一性质对于半空间中满足一定条件的次调和函数仍然成立.该结果把复平面C中解析函数的增长性质推广到了n-维Euclidean半空间,并且推广了n-维Euclidean半空间中某些经典的结果.  相似文献
