In this paper, we consider the Mittag-Leffler operator as an analytical solution of time-fractional diffusion equation in the Caputo sense. This solution is presented by an integral representation in terms of the M-Wright functions and the exponential operators. Further, we study the Mittag-Leffler operators associated with the Legendre and Bessel diffusion equations. Finally, we extend the obtained integral representation for the time-fractional diffusion equation of distributed order.  相似文献

In this paper our aim is to present an elementary proof of an identity of Calogero concerning the zeros of Bessel functions of the first kind. Moreover, by using our elementary approach we present a new identity for the zeros of Bessel functions of the first kind, which in particular reduces to some other new identities. We also show that our method can be applied for the zeros of other special functions, like Struve functions of the first kind, and modified Bessel functions of the second kind.  相似文献

In this article, a numerical technique is presented for the approximate solution of the Bagley–Torvik equation, which is a class of fractional differential equations. The basic idea of this method is to obtain the approximate solution in a generalized form of the Bessel functions of the first kind. For this purpose, by using the collocation points, the matrix operations and a generalization of the Bessel functions of the first kind, this technique transforms the Bagley–Torvik equation into a system of the linear algebraic equations. Hence, by solving this system, the unknown Bessel coefficients are computed. The reliability and efficiency of the proposed scheme are demonstrated by some numerical examples. The Bessel-type functions, structured as extensions of the classical Bessel functions, were defined by Everitt and Markett in 1994. These special functions are derived by linear combinations and limit processes from the classical orthogonal polynomials, classical Bessel functions and the Krall Jacobi-type and Laguerre-type orthogonal polynomials. These Bessel-type functions are solutions of higher-order linear differential equations, with a regular singularity at the origin and an irregular singularity at the point of infinity of the complex plane.

There is a Bessel-type differential equation for each even-order integer; the equation of order two is the classical Bessel differential equation. These even-order Bessel-type equations are not formal powers of the classical Bessel equation.

When the independent variable of these equations is restricted to the positive real axis of the plane they can be written in the Lagrange symmetric (formally self-adjoint) form of the Glazman–Naimark type, with real coefficients. Embedded in this form of the equation is a spectral parameter; this combination leads to the generation of self-adjoint operators in a weighted Hilbert function space. In the second-order case one of these associated operators has an eigenfunction expansion that leads to the Hankel integral transform.

This article is devoted to a study of the spectral theory of the Bessel-type differential equation of order four; considered on the positive real axis this equation has singularities at both end-points. In the associated Hilbert function space these singular end-points are classified, the minimal and maximal operators are defined and all associated self-adjoint operators are determined, including the Friedrichs self-adjoint operator. The spectral properties of these self-adjoint operators are given in explicit form.

From the properties of the domain of the maximal operator, in the associated Hilbert function space, it is possible to obtain a virial theorem for the fourth-order Bessel-type differential equation.

There are two solutions of this fourth-order equation that can be expressed in terms of classical Bessel functions of order zero and order one. However it appears that additional, independent solutions essentially involve new special functions not yet defined. The spectral properties of the self-adjoint operators suggest that there is an eigenfunction expansion similar to the Hankel transform, but details await a further study of the solutions of the differential equation.  相似文献

The transmutation (transformation) operator associated with the perturbed Bessel equation is considered. It is shown that its integral kernel can be uniformly approximated by linear combinations of constructed here generalized wave polynomials, solutions of a singular hyperbolic partial differential equation arising in relation with the transmutation kernel. As a corollary of this result an approximation of the regular solution of the perturbed Bessel equation is proposed with corresponding estimates independent of the spectral parameter.  相似文献

Using the theory of Hankel convolution, continuous and discrete Bessel wavelet transforms are defined. Certain boundedness results and inversion formula for the continuous Bessel wavelet transform are obtained. Important properties of the discrete Bessel wavelet transform are given.  相似文献

A method given recently for deriving indefinite integrals of special functions which satisfy homogeneous second-order linear differential equations has been extended to include functions which obey inhomogeneous equations. The extended method has been applied to derive indefinite integrals for the Lommel functions, which obey an inhomogeneous Bessel equation. The method allows integrals to be derived for the inhomogeneous equation in a manner which closely parallels the homogeneous case, and a number of new Lommel integrals are derived which have well-known Bessel analogues. Results will be presented separately for other special functions which obey inhomogeneous second-order linear equations.  相似文献

The structured Bessel-type functions of arbitrary even-order were introduced by Everitt and Markett in 1994; these functions satisfy linear ordinary differential equations of the same even-order. The differential equations have analytic coefficients and are defined on the whole complex plane with a regular singularity at the origin and an irregular singularity at the point of infinity. They are all natural extensions of the classical second-order Bessel differential equation. Further these differential equations have real-valued coefficients on the positive real half-line of the plane, and can be written in Lagrange symmetric (formally self-adjoint) form. In the fourth-order case, the Lagrange symmetric differential expression generates self-adjoint unbounded operators in certain Hilbert function spaces. These results are recorded in many of the papers here given as references. It is shown in the original paper of 1994 that in this fourth-order case one solution exists which can be represented in terms of the classical Bessel functions of order 0 and 1. The existence of this solution, further aided by computer programs in Maple, led to the existence of a linearly independent basis of solutions of the differential equation. In this paper a new proof of the existence of this solution base is given, on using the advanced theory of special functions in the complex plane. The methods lead to the development of analytical properties of these solutions, in particular the series expansions of all solutions at the regular singularity at the origin of the complex plane.  相似文献

This paper defines -weighted Laplace transforms on the spaces of -covariant functions. By the inverse Laplace transform we define operator-valued Bessel functions. We also study the holomorphic discrete series of the automorphism group of a Siegel domain of type II.

In this paper, we introduce a new ring of ponderation functions which allowed us to describe and classify a large class of ring of Bessel integral operators. The main result is to give an explicit form of some ideals of such a ring of operators.  相似文献

A standard method for computing values of Bessel functions has been to use the well-known ascending series for small argument, and to use an asymptotic series for large argument; with the choice of the series changing at some appropriate argument magnitude, depending on the number of digits required. In a recent paper, D. Borwein, J. Borwein, and R. Crandall [D. Borwein, J.M. Borwein, R. Crandall, Effective Laguerre asymptotics, preprint at http://locutus.cs.dal.ca:8088/archive/00000334/] derived a series for an “exp-arc” integral which gave rise to an absolutely convergent series for the J and I Bessel functions with integral order. Such series can be rapidly evaluated via recursion and elementary operations, and provide a viable alternative to the conventional ascending-asymptotic switching. In the present work, we extend the method to deal with Bessel functions of general (non-integral) order, as well as to deal with the Y and K Bessel functions.  相似文献

In this article, we propose a novel modification to Quasi-Newton method, which is now a days popularly known as variation iteration method (VIM) and use it to solve the following class of nonlinear singular differential equations which arises in chemistry $-y''(x)-\frac{\alpha}{x}y''(x)=f(x,y),~x\in(0,1),$ where $\alpha\geq1$, subject to certain two point and three point boundary conditions. We compute the relaxation parameter as a function of Bessel and the modified Bessel functions. Since rate of convergence of solutions to the iterative scheme depends on the relaxation parameter, thus we can have faster convergence. We validate our results for two point and three point boundary conditions. We allow $\partial f/\partial y$ to take both positive and negative values.  相似文献

The integration of systems containing Bessel functions is a central point in many practical problems in physics, chemistry and engineering. This paper presents a new numerical analysis for the collocation method presented by Levin for and gives more accurate error analysis about the integration of systems containing Bessel functions. The effectiveness and accuracy of the quadrature is tested for Bessel functions with large arguments. AMS subject classification (2000)  65D32, 65D30  相似文献

We will propose a unified algebraic method to construct Jacobi elliptic function solutions to differential–difference equations (DDEs). The solutions to DDEs in terms of Jacobi elliptic functions sn, cn and dn have a unified form and can be presented through solving the associated algebraic equations. To illustrate the effectiveness of this method, we apply the algorithm to some physically significant DDEs, including the discrete hybrid equation, semi‐discrete coupled modified Korteweg–de Vries and the discrete Klein–Gordon equation, thereby generating some new exact travelling periodic solutions to the discrete Klein–Gordon equation. A procedure is also given to determine the polynomial expansion order of Jacobi elliptic function solutions to DDEs. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The diffusion‐discrete absorption (DDA) equation is considered. This equation contains the standard diffusion term and the discrete sorption expressed by a sum of large number of δ‐functions with the support at a non‐uniform mesh multiplied by the unknown function (concentration). The main result of the paper is the homogenization (continualization) of this equation when the small parameter is the characteristic step h of the mesh. The error estimates are proved for the difference of the exact solution of the DDA equation and the solution of the homogenized differential equation. A four-term recurrence relation for squared spherical Bessel functions is shown to yield closed-form expressions for several types of finite weighted sums of these functions. The resulting sum rules, which may contain an arbitrarily large number of terms, are found to constitute three independent hierarchies. Their use leads to an efficient numerical evaluation of these sums.  相似文献
