We generalise the exponential Ax–Schanuel theorem to arbitrary linear differential equations with constant coefficients. Using the analysis of the exponential differential equation by Kirby (The theory of exponential differential equations, 2006, Sel Math 15(3):445–486, 2009) and Crampin (Reducts of differentially closed fields to fields with a relation for exponentiation, 2006) we give a complete axiomatisation of the first order theories of linear differential equations and show that the generalised Ax–Schanuel inequalities are adequate for them.  相似文献

We consider the mean-square stability of the so-called improved split-step theta method for stochastic differential equations. First, we study the mean-square stability of the method for linear test equations with real parameters. When θ 3/2, the improved split-step theta methods can reproduce the mean-square stability of the linear test equations for any step sizes h 0. Then, under a coupled condition on the drift and diffusion coefficients, we consider exponential mean-square stability of the method for nonlinear non-autonomous stochastic differential equations. Finally, the obtained results are supported by numerical experiments.  相似文献

Differential equations have arithmetic analogues (Buium in Arithmetic differential equations, Mathematical Surveys and Monographs, vol 118. American Mathematical Society, Providence 2005) in which derivatives are replaced by Fermat quotients; these analogues are called arithmetic differential equations, and the present paper is concerned with the “linear” ones. The equations themselves were introduced in a previous paper (Buium and Dupuy, in Arithmetic differential equations on \(GL_{n}\), II: arithmetic Lie–Cartan theory, arXiv:1308.0744). In this note we study the existence of global solutions for a class of impulsive abstract differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses. Specifically, we establish the existence of mild solutions on \({[0, \infty)}\) and the existence of \({\mathcal{S}}\)-asymptotically \({\omega}\)-periodic mild solutions. Our results are based on the Hausdorff measure of non-compactness. Some applications involving partial differential equations are considered.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of nonlinear stochastic neutral differential equations with delays is investigated. By using the properties of ${\mathcal{M}}$ -matrix, a differential-difference inequality is established. Basing on the differential-difference inequality, we develop a ${\mathcal{L}}$ -operator-difference inequality such that it is effective for stochastic neutral differential equations. By using the ${\mathcal{L}}$ -operator-difference inequality, we obtain the global attracting and invariant sets of nonlinear stochastic neutral differential equations with delays. In addition, we derive the sufficient condition ensuring the exponential p-stability of the zero solution of nonlinear stochastic neutral differential equations with delays. One example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our conclusion.  相似文献

We investigate the problem of computing the inverses of stiffness matrices resulting from the finite element discretization of elliptic partial differential equations. Since the solution operators are non-local, the inverse matrices will in general be dense, therefore representing them by standard techniques will require prohibitively large amounts of storage. In the field of integral equations, a successful technique for handling dense matrices efficiently is to use a data-sparse representation like the popular multipole method. In this paper we prove that this approach can be generalized to cover inverse matrices corresponding to partial differential equations by switching to data-sparse ${\mathcal{H}}$ - and ${\mathcal{H}^2}$ -matrices. The key results are existence proofs for local low-rank approximations of the solution operator and its discrete counterpart, which give rise to error estimates for ${\mathcal{H}}$ - and ${\mathcal{H}^2}$ -matrix approximations of the entire matrices.  相似文献

Given a class \(\mathcal{F(\theta)}\) of differential equations with arbitrary element θ, the problems of symmetry group, nonclassical symmetry and conservation law classifications are to determine for each member \(f\in\mathcal{F(\theta)}\) the structure of its Lie symmetry group G f , conditional symmetry Q f and conservation law \(\mathop {\rm CL}\nolimits _{f}\) under some proper equivalence transformations groups.In this paper, an extensive investigation of these three aspects is carried out for the class of variable coefficient (1+1)-dimensional nonlinear telegraph equations with coefficients depending on the space variable f(x)u tt =(g(x)H(u)u x ) x +h(x)K(u)u x . The usual equivalence group and the extended one including transformations which are nonlocal with respect to arbitrary elements are first constructed. Then using the technique of variable gauges of arbitrary elements under equivalence transformations, we restrict ourselves to the symmetry group classifications for the equations with two different gauges g=1 and g=h. In order to get the ultimate classification, the method of furcate split is also used and consequently a number of new interesting nonlinear invariant models which have non-trivial invariance algebra are obtained. As an application, exact solutions for some equations which are singled out from the classification results are constructed by the classical method of Lie reduction.The classification of nonclassical symmetries for the classes of differential equations with gauge g=1 is discussed within the framework of singular reduction operator. This enabled to obtain some exact solutions of the nonlinear telegraph equation which are invariant under certain conditional symmetries.Using the direct method, we also carry out two classifications of local conservation laws up to equivalence relations generated by both usual and extended equivalence groups. Equivalence with respect to these groups and correct choice of gauge coefficients of equations play the major role for simple and clear formulation of the final results.  相似文献
