The notion of vector-valued multiresolution analysis is introduced and the concept of orthogonal vector-valued wavelets with 3-scale is proposed.A necessary and sufficient condition on the existence of orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is given by means of paraunitary vector filter bank theory.An algorithm for constructing a class of compactly supported orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is presented.Their characteristics is discussed by virtue of operator theory,time-frequency method.Moreover,it is shown how to design various orthonormal bases of space L2(R,Cn) from these wavelet packets.  相似文献

In this paper, the notion of two-direction vector-valued multiresolution analysis and the two-direction orthogonal vector-valued wavelets are introduced. The definition for two-direction orthogonal vector-valued wavelet packets is proposed. An algorithm for constructing a class of two-direction orthogonal vector-valued compactly supported wavelets corresponding to the two-direction orthogonal vector-valued compactly supported scaling functions is proposed by virtue of matrix theory and time-frequency analysis method. The properties of the two-direction vector-valued wavelet packets are investigated. At last, the direct decomposition relation for space L2(R)r is presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce biorthogonal multiple vector-valued wavelets which are wavelets for vector fields. We proved that, like in the scalar and multiwavelet case, the existence of a pair of biorthogonal multiple vector-valued scaling functions guarantees the existence of a pair of biorthogonal multiple vector-valued wavelet functions. Finally, we investigate the construction of a class of compactly supported biorthogonal multiple vector-valued wavelets.  相似文献

We introduce the concepts of quasi-biorthogonal frame multiresolution analyses and quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelets which are natural generalizations of biorthogonal multiresolution analyses and biorthogonal wavelets, respectively. Necessary and sufficient conditions for quasi-biorthogonal frame multiresolution analyses to admit quasi-biorthogonal wavelet frames are given, and a non-trivial example of quasi-biorthogonal frame multiresolution analyses admitting quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelets is constructed. Finally, we characterize the pair of quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelets that is associated with quasi-biorthogonal frame multiresolution analyses.  相似文献

In this paper, first we introduce trivariate multiresolution analysis and trivariate biorthogonal wavelets. A sufficient condition on the existence of a pair of trivariate biorthogonal scaling functions is derived. In this paper we present the construction of new stable biorthogonal spline-wavelet bases on the interval [0, 1] for arbitrary choice of spline-degree. As starting point, we choose the well-known family of compactly supported biorthogonal spline-wavelets presented by Cohen, Daubechies and Feauveau. Firstly, we construct biorthogonal MRAs (multiresolution analysis) on [0, 1]. The primal MRA consists of spline-spaces concerning equidistant, dyadic partitions of [0, 1], the so called Schoenberg-spline bases. Thus, the full degree of polynomial reproduction is preserved on the primal side. The construction, that we present for the boundary scaling functions on the dual side, guarantees the same for the dual side. In particular, the new boundary scaling functions on both, the primal and the dual side have staggered supports. Further, the MRA spaces satisfy certain Jackson- and Bernstein-inequalities, which lead by general principles to the result, that the associated wavelets are in fact L 2([0, 1])-stable. The wavelets however are computed with aid of the method of stable completion. Due to the compact support of all occurring functions, the decomposition and reconstruction transforms can be implemented efficiently with sparse matrices. We also illustrate how bases with complementary or homogeneous boundary conditions can be easily derived from our construction.  相似文献

Recently we found a family of nearly orthonormal affine Riesz bases of compact support and arbitrary degrees of smoothness, obtained by perturbing the one-dimensional Haar mother wavelet using B-splines. The mother wavelets thus obtained are symmetric and given in closed form, features which are generally lacking in the orthogonal case. We also showed that for an important subfamily the wavelet coefficients can be calculated in O(n) steps, just as for orthogonal wavelets. It was conjectured by Aldroubi, and independently by the author, that these bases cannot be obtained by a multiresolution analysis. Here we prove this conjecture. The work is divided into four sections. The first section is introductory. The main feature of the second is simple necessary and sufficient conditions for an affine Riesz basis to be generated by a multiresolution analysis, valid for a large class of mother wavelets. In the third section we apply the results of the second section to several examples. In the last section we show that our bases cannot be obtained by a multiresolution analysis.  相似文献

The Wavelet Element Method (WEM) provides a construction of multiresolution systems and biorthogonal wavelets on fairly general domains. These are split into subdomains that are mapped to a single reference hypercube. Tensor products of scaling functions and wavelets defined on the unit interval are used on the reference domain. By introducing appropriate matching conditions across the interelement boundaries, a globally continuous biorthogonal wavelet basis on the general domain is obtained. This construction does not uniquely define the basis functions but rather leaves some freedom for fulfilling additional features. In this paper we detail the general construction principle of the WEM to the 1D, 2D, and 3D cases. We address additional features such as symmetry, vanishing moments, and minimal support of the wavelet functions in each particular dimension. The construction is illustrated by using biorthogonal spline wavelets on the interval.  相似文献

When bivariate filter banks and wavelets are used for surface multiresolution processing, it is required that the decomposition and reconstruction algorithms for regular vertices derived from them have high symmetry. This symmetry requirement makes it possible to design the corresponding multiresolution algorithms for extraordinary vertices. Recently lifting-scheme based biorthogonal bivariate wavelets with high symmetry have been constructed for surface multiresolution processing. If biorthogonal wavelets have certain smoothness, then the analysis or synthesis scaling function or both have big supports in general. In particular, when the synthesis low-pass filter is a commonly used scheme such as Loop’s scheme or Catmull-Clark’s scheme, the corresponding analysis low-pass filter has a big support and the corresponding analysis scaling function and wavelets have poor smoothness. Big supports of scaling functions, or in other words big templates of multiresolution algorithms, are undesirable for surface processing. On the other hand, a frame provides flexibility for the construction of “basis” systems. This paper concerns the construction of wavelet (or affine) bi-frames with high symmetry.In this paper we study the construction of wavelet bi-frames with 4-fold symmetry for quadrilateral surface multiresolution processing, with both the dyadic and refinements considered. The constructed bi-frames have 4 framelets (or frame generators) for the dyadic refinement, and 2 framelets for the refinement. Namely, with either the dyadic or refinement, a frame system constructed in this paper has only one more generator than a wavelet system. The constructed bi-frames have better smoothness and smaller supports than biorthogonal wavelets. Furthermore, all the frame algorithms considered in this paper are given by templates so that one can easily implement them.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the concept of biorthogonal matrix valued wavelets. We elaborate on perfect reconstruction matrix filter banks which are assembled by matrix FIR fllters and we deduce that the resulting matrix valued wavelet functions have compact support. Moreover, we form biorthogonal unconditional bases for the space of matrix valued signals. To validate the theory, a class of biorthogonal and orthonormal matrix valued wavelets are given. The connection of the present scheme with the theory of multiwavelets are also explored.  相似文献

We investigate Riesz bases of wavelets generated from multiresolution analysis. This investigation leads us to a study of refinement equations with masks being exponentially decaying sequences. In order to study such refinement equations we introduce the cascade operator and the transition operator. It turns out that the transition operator associated with an exponentially decaying mask is a compact operator on a certain Banach space of sequences. With the help of the spectral theory of the compact operator we are able to characterize the convergence of the cascade algorithm associated with an exponentially decaying mask in terms of the spectrum of the corresponding transition operator. As an application of this study we establish the main result of this paper which gives a complete characterization of all possible Riesz bases of compactly supported wavelets generated from multiresolution analysis. Several interesting examples are provided to illustrate the general theory.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the definition and the relative theorems of the biorthogonal radial multiresolution in dimension three. Unlike the orthogonal case, there exist real-valued dual radial scaling functions with compact support in the biorthogonal case. The associated Mallat algorithm can be simply performed in terms of classical biorthogonal filters.  相似文献
