The aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate some of the primary generalizations and unifications of the Peters polynomials and numbers by means of convenient generating functions and p‐adic integrals method. Various fundamental properties of these polynomials and numbers involving some explicit series and integral representations in terms of the generalized Stirling numbers, generalized harmonic sums, and some well‐known special numbers and polynomials are presented. By using p‐adic integrals, we construct generating functions for Peters type polynomials and numbers (Apostol‐type Peters numbers and polynomials). By using these functions with their partial derivative eqautions and functional equations, we derive many properties, relations, explicit formulas, and identities including the Apostol‐Bernoulli polynomials, the Apostol‐Euler polynomials, the Boole polynomials, the Bernoulli polynomials, and numbers of the second kind, generalized harmonic sums. A brief revealing and historical information for the Peters type polynomials are given. Some of the formulas given in this article are given critiques and comments between previously well‐known formulas. Finally, two open problems for interpolation functions for Apostol‐type Peters numbers and polynomials are revealed.  相似文献

It is known that tilting classes are of finite type, while cotilting classes are not always of cofinite type. We investigate this phenomenon. By using a bijection between definable classes of left modules and definable classes of right modules, we prove that it reflects the asymmetry existing between the notions of covers and envelopes or, otherwise stated, right and left approximations.In particular we show that there exist definable torsion classes containing the injective modules which are not tilting classes.  相似文献

In this article, we formulate fractional differential inclusion of pantograph type (IFDIP), incorporating impulsive behavior of the solution. The boundary conditions taken into account are nonlocal in nature. We will consider the convex problem and prove the Filippov–Wazewski-type theorem. Moreover, existence of solution, uniqueness of a solution, and the topological properties of the solution's set will be examined for the problem under consideration. In the second part, the study will be confined to the second-order impulsive fractional differential equation of pantograph type. For certain geometric characteristics of the solution's set, Aronszajn–Browder–Gupta-type results will be explored for the newly introduced differential equation. Also, it will prove the existence of solution for the first-order fractional differential equation of pantograph type having impulsive behavior of the solution.  相似文献

Boundary observability and controllability problems for evolution equations governed by PDEs have been greatly studied in the past years. However, the problems were studied on a case-by-case basis, only for some particular types of boundary controls, and, moreover, several unnatural restrictions concerning lower-order terms were used.Our goal here is to give a general approach for boundary controllability problems, which is valid for all evolution PDEs of hyperbolic or ultrahyperbolic type, all boundary controls for which the corresponding homogeneous problem is well-posed, and all well-posedness spaces for the homogeneous problem. The first example of such equations is the class of hyperbolic equations, but valid examples are also equations such as the Schroedinger equation and various models for the plate equation.This work is essentially based on some apriori estimates of Carleman's type obtained by the author in a previous paper [29].This research was partially supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant NSF-DMS-8903747.  相似文献

Shallow water equations are usually modelled by nonlinear KdV type equations of which various generalisations now exist. For example there are vector versions of the modified KdV equation and shallow water equations with nonlinear internal waves. We discuss the reduction and solutions of these and other large classes of such type of equations using inverse variational and symmetry methods.  相似文献

We obtain new semi-invariants for a system of two linear parabolic type partial differential equations (PDEs) in two independent variables under equivalence transformations of the dependent variables only. This is achieved for a class of systems of two linear parabolic type PDEs that correspond to a scalar complex linear (1 + 1) parabolic equation. The complex transformations of the dependent variables which map the complex scalar linear parabolic PDE to itself provide us with real transformations that map the corresponding system of linear parabolic type PDEs to itself with different coefficients in general. The semi-invariants deduced for this class of systems of two linear parabolic type equations correspond to the complex Ibragimov invariants of the complex scalar linear parabolic equation. We also look at particular cases of the system of parabolic type equations when they are uncoupled or coupled in a special manner. Moreover, we address the inverse problem of when systems of linear parabolic type equations arise from analytic continuation of a scalar linear parabolic PDE. 用Levenberg-Marquardt类的投影收缩方法解运输问题   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
For solving linear variational inequalities (LVI), the projection and contraction method of Levenberg-Marquardt type needs less iterations than an elementary projection and contraction method. However, the method of Levenberg-Marquardt type has to calculate the inverse of a matrix and hence it is unsuitable for large problems. In this paper, using the special structure of the constraint matrix, we present a PC method of Levenberg-Marquardt type for LVI arising from transportation problem without calculating any inverse matrices.Several computational experiments are presentded to indicate that the methods is good for solving the transportation problem.  相似文献
