In this paper we prove that iff ∈ C([-π,π]2) and the function f is bounded partial p-variation for some p ∈ [1, ∞), then the double trigonometric Fourier series of a function f is uniformly (C;-α,-β) summable (α β< 1/p,α,β> 0) in the sense of Pringsheim. In this paper, we show that new modified double cosine trigonometric sums introduced in [1] are inappropriate, the class of double sequences Jd introduced there is unusable for such sums and consequently the results obtained in it are completely incorrect. We establish a law of the itearted logarithm for a triangular array of indepentent random variables, and apply it to obtain sharp pointwise rates of strong consistency for a large class of nonparametric estimators of bivariate density and conditional density. We discuss the best approximation of periodic functions by trigonometric polynomials and the approximation by Fourier partial summation operators, Valle-Poussin operators, Ces`aro operators, Abel opera-tors, and Jackson operators, respectively, on the Sobolev space with a Gaussian measure and obtain the average error estimations. We show that, in the average case setting, the trigonometric polynomial subspaces are the asymptotically optimal subspaces in the L q space for 1≤q ∞, and the Fourier partial summation operators and the Valle-Poussin operators are the asymptotically optimal linear operators and are as good as optimal nonlinear operators in the L q space for 1≤q ∞.  相似文献

In this paper,we consider numerical and trigonometric series with a very general monotonicity condition.First,a fundamental decomposition is established from which the sufficient parts of many classical results in Fourier analysis can be derived in this general setting.In the second part of the paper a necessary and sufficient condition for the uniform convergence of sine series is proved generalizing a classical theorem of Chaundy and Jolliffe.  相似文献

Fast wavelet transform algorithms for Toeplitz matrices are proposed in this paper. Distinctive from the well known discrete trigonometric transforms, such as the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) for Toeplitz matrices, the new algorithms are achieved by compactly supported wavelet that preserve the character of a Toeplitz matrix after transform, which is quite useful in many applications involving a Toeplitz matrix. Results of numerical experiments show that the proposed method has good compression performance similar to using wavelet in the digital image coding. Since the proposed algorithms turn a dense Toeplitz matrix into a band-limited form, the arithmetic operations required by the new algorithms are O(N) that are reduced greatly compared with O(N log N) by the classical trigonometric transforms.  相似文献

Four new trigonometric Bernstein-like basis functions with two exponential shape parameters are constructed, based on which a class of trigonometric Bézier-like curves, analogous to the cubic Bézier curves, is proposed. The corner cutting algorithm for computing the trigonometric Bézier-like curves is given. Any arc of an ellipse or a parabola can be represented exactly by using the trigonometric Bézier-like curves. The corresponding trigonometric Bernstein-like operator is presented and the spectral analysis shows that the trigonometric Bézier-like curves are closer to the given control polygon than the cubic Bézier curves. Based on the new proposed trigonometric Bernstein-like basis, a new class of trigonometric B-spline-like basis functions with two local exponential shape parameters is constructed. The totally positive property of the trigonometric B-spline-like basis is proved. For different values of the shape parameters, the associated trigonometric B-spline-like curves can be $C^2$ ∩ $FC^3$ continuous for a non-uniform knot vector, and $C^3$ or $C^5$ continuous for a uniform knot vector. A new class of trigonometric Bézier-like basis functions over triangular domain is also constructed. A de Casteljau-type algorithm for computing the associated trigonometric Bézier-like patch is developed. The conditions for $G^1$ continuous joining two trigonometric Bézier-like patches over triangular domain are deduced.  相似文献

We discuss error representations for Hermite-Lagrange trigonometric interpolation introduced in Dryanov and Petrov (Interpolation and L 1-approximation by trigonometric polynomials and blending functions, J. Approx. Theory 164, 1049–1064 (2012)) and obtain one-sided trigonometric quadratures for approximate integration of one-dimensional integrals. Next, we study error representations of multivariate Hermite-Lagrange transfinite trigonometric interpolation and derive one-sided trigonometric blending interpolants to multivariate functions, under some restrictions. Then, we construct one-sided transfinite cubature formulae for approximate integration of multivariate integrals. We construct also cubature formulae with positive coefficients, based on line integrals and exact in a vector space of trigonometric blending functions with prescribed order.  相似文献

Motivated by the notion of Lebesgue summability of trigonometric series, we define the Lebesgue summability of trigonometric integrals in terms of the symmetric differentiability of the sum of the formally integrated trigonometric integral in question. The class of one-dimensional quasilattices parametrized by translations of the torus is studied. The trigonometric integrals averaging the moduli of trigonometric sums related to quasilattices are considered for this class. Nontrivial estimates of such integrals are obtained. We recall that the Lebesgue summability of a single trigonometric series is defined in terms of the symmetric differentiability of the sum of the formally integrated trigonometric series in question. In this paper, we present another proof of the theorem given in Zygmund's monograph.
