We propose a model for reinsurance control for an insurance firm in the case where the liabilities are driven by fractional Brownian motion, a stochastic process exhibiting long-range dependence. The problem is transformed to a nonlinear programming problem, the solution of which provides the optimal reinsurance policy. The effect of various parameters of the model, such as the safety loading of the reinsurer and the insurer, the Hurst parameter, etc. on the optimal reinsurance program is studied in some detail. We introduce a strategic behavior in reinsurance bilateral transactions, where agents choose the risk preferences they will appear to have in the transaction. Within a wide class of risk measures, we identify agents’ strategic choices to a range of risk aversion coefficients. It is shown that at the strictly beneficial Nash equilibria, agents appear homogeneous with respect to their risk preferences. While the game does not cause any loss of total welfare gain, its allocation between agents is heavily affected by the agents’ strategic behavior. This allocation is reflected in the reinsurance premium, while the insurance indemnity remains the same in all strictly beneficial Nash equilibria. Furthermore, the effect of agents’ bargaining power vanishes through the game procedure and the agent who gets more welfare gain is the one who has an advantage in choosing the common risk aversion at the equilibrium.  相似文献

On the assumption that investment fund follows the logarithm-normal distribution, the paper derives the forms of proportional and excess-of-loss reinsurance contracts which make the convex combination of the insurer’s rate of return v1 and the reinsurer’s rate of return v2 exceeds R at the probability of f. 采用共同冲击型相依多险种模型刻画保险公司的索赔风险过程,按照方差分保费原则计算再保险费,研究最小化破产概率的再保险问题.通过扩散逼近并利用动态规划原理,得到了显式最优策略和值函数.与采用期望值分保费原则比较,发现最优分保形式和自留风险水平均不相同;与最大化期望指数效用的结果比较,发现最优分保比例除了与安全负载相关,还与索赔分布、计数过程以及直接保险费收入率c有关.最后,结合数值算例揭示了相依参数的动态影响以及最优策略与c的敏感相关性.  相似文献

This article considers a co-reinsurance strategy that (1) protects insurance companies against catastrophic risks; (2) enables insurers to gather sufficient information about the different risk attitudes of reinsurers and diversify their reinsured risks; (3) enables insurers to create better risk-sharing profiles by balancing the risk tolerances of reinsurers; (4) has the benefit of allowing reinsurers to accumulate experience with risks with which they are unfamiliar; (5) reduces the overall direct cost of a reinsurance contract; (6) allows a government to back some insurance products, such as the terrorism insurance programs that were established in many countries after the September 11th terrorist attacks; and (7) reflects the practical reinsurance industry of some countries, such as Iran. Such a co-reinsurance strategy can be fully determined by estimating its parameters whenever three optimal criteria are satisfied and prior information about the unknown parameters is available. Two simulation-based studies have been conducted to demonstrate (1) the practical applications of our findings and (2) the possible impact of any type of dependency between the co-reinsurance’s parameters and the evaluated optimal co-reinsurance strategy.  相似文献

In this paper, we study an insurer’s reinsurance–investment problem under a mean–variance criterion. We show that excess-loss is the unique equilibrium reinsurance strategy under a spectrally negative Lévy insurance model when the reinsurance premium is computed according to the expected value premium principle. Furthermore, we obtain the explicit equilibrium reinsurance–investment strategy by solving the extended Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation.  相似文献
