In this paper, the dynamic behaviors of a two-prey two-predator system with impulsive effect on the predator of fixed moment are investigated. By applying the Floquet theory of liner periodic impulsive equation, we show that there exists a globally asymptotically stable two-prey eradication periodic solution when the impulsive period is less than some critical value. Further, we prove that the system is permanent if the impulsive period is large than some critical value, and meanwhile the conditions for the extinction of one of the two prey and permanence of the remaining three species are given. Finally, numerical simulation shows that there exists a stable positive periodic solution with a maximum value no larger than a given level. Thus, we can use the stability of the positive periodic solution and its period to control insect pests at acceptably low levels.  相似文献

From a biological pest management standpoint, epidemic diseases models have become important tools in control of pest populations. This paper deals with an impulsive delay epidemic disease model with stage-structure and a general form of the incidence rate concerning pest control strategy, in which the pest population is subdivided into three subgroups: pest eggs, susceptible pests, infectious pests that do not attack crops. Using the discrete dynamical system determined by the stroboscopic map, we obtain the exact periodic susceptible pest-eradication solution of the system and observe that the susceptible pest-eradication periodic solution is globally attractive, provided that the amount of infective pests released periodically is larger than some critical value. When the amount of infective pests released is less than another critical value, the system is shown to be permanent, which implies that the trivial susceptible pest-eradication solution loses its attractivity. Our results indicate that besides the release amount of infective pests, the incidence rate, time delay and impulsive period can have great effects on the dynamics of our system.  相似文献

In an ecosystem, multiple predator species often share a common prey and the interactions between the predators are neutral. In view of this fact, we propose a three-species prey-predator system with the functional responses and impulsive controls to model the process of pest management. It is proved that the system has a locally stable pest-eradication periodic solution under the assumption that the impulsive period is less than some critical value. In particular, two single control strategies (biological control alone or chemical control alone) are proposed. Finally, we compare three pest control strategies and find that if we choose narrow-spectrum pesticides that are targeted to a specific pest’s life cycle to kill the pest, then the combined strategy is preferable. Numerical results show that our system has complex dynamics including period-doubling bifurcation, quasi-periodic oscillation, chaos, intermittency and crises. In this paper, a food chain model with Ivlev functional response and impulsive effect of top predator is investigated. Conditions for extinction of mid-level predator are given. By using the Floquet theory of linear τ-period impulsive differential equation and small amplitude perturbation skills, we show that the lowest-level prey and the mid-level predator extinction periodic solution is unstable, while the mid-level predator eradication periodic solution is stable, and meanwhile, we prove that the system is permanent if the impulsive period is larger than some critical value. Furthermore, influences of the impulsive perturbation on the inherent oscillation are studied numerically, which displays complicated behavior including a sequence of direct and inverse cascade of period doubling, period halfing as well as chaos.  相似文献

In this paper, a three dimensional ratio-dependent chemostat model with periodically pulsed input is considered. By using the discrete dynamical system determined by the stroboscopic map and Floquet theorem, an exact periodic solution with positive concentrations of substrate and predator in the absence of prey is obtained. When β is less than some critical value the boundary periodic solution (xs(t), 0, zs(t)) is locally stable, and when β is larger than the critical value there are periodic oscillations in substrate, prey and predator. Increasing the impulsive period τ, the system undergoes a series of period-doubling bifurcation leading to chaos, which implies that the dynamical behaviors of the periodically pulsed ratio-dependent predator-prey ecosystem are very complex.  相似文献

Predator–prey system with non-monotonic functional response and impulsive perturbations on the predator is established. By using Floquet theorem and small amplitude perturbation skills, a locally asymptotically stable prey-eradication periodic solution is obtained when the impulsive period is less than the critical value. Otherwise, if the impulsive period is larger than the critical value, the system is permanent. Further, using numerical simulation method the influences of the impulsive perturbations on the inherent oscillation are investigated. With the increasing of the impulsive value, the system displays a series of complex phenomena, which include (1) quasi-periodic oscillating, (2) period-doubling, (3) period-halfing, (4) non-unique dynamics (meaning that several attractors coexist), (5) attractor crisis and (6) chaotic bands with periodic windows.  相似文献

According to biological and chemical control strategy for pest control, we investigate the dynamic behavior of a Holling II functional response predator–prey system concerning impulsive control strategy-periodic releasing natural enemies and spraying pesticide at different fixed times. By using Floquet theorem and small amplitude perturbation method, we prove that there exists a stable pest-eradication periodic solution when the impulsive period is less than some critical value. Further, the condition for the permanence of the system is also given. Numerical results show that the system we consider can take on various kinds of periodic fluctuations and several types of attractor coexistence and is dominated by periodic, quasiperiodic and chaotic solutions, which implies that the presence of pulses makes the dynamic behavior more complex. Finally, we conclude that our impulsive control strategy is more effective than the classical one if we take chemical control efficiently.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a model with impulsive control of epidemics for pest management. By using Floquet's theorem, small‐amplitude perturbation skills and comparison theorem, we show that there exists a globally asymptotically stable susceptible pest‐eradication periodic solution when the release amount of infective pests is larger than some critical value. However, when the amount of infective pests released is less than this critical value, the system is shown to be permanent, which implies that the trivial periodic susceptible pest‐eradication solution loses its stability. Further, the existence of a positive periodic endemic solution and other rich dynamics are also studied by numerical simulation. Therefore, we can use the amount of release of infective pests to control susceptible pests at desirable low levels. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we have investigated a predator–prey system in a polluted environment with impulsive toxicant input at fixed moments. We have obtained two thresholds on the impulsive period by assuming the toxicant amount input is fixed to the environment at each pulse moment. If the impulsive period is greater than the big threshold, then both populations are weak average persistent. If the period lies between of the two thresholds, then the prey population will be weak average persistent while the predator population extinct. If the period is less than the small threshold, both populations tend to extinction. Finally, our theoretical results are confirmed by own numerical simulations.  相似文献

According to biological strategy for pest control, we investigate the dynamic behavior of a pest management SEI model with saturation incidence concerning impulsive control strategy-periodic releasing infected pests at fixed times. We prove that all solutions of the system are uniformly ultimately bounded and there exists a globally asymptotically stable pest-eradication periodic solution when the impulsive period is less than some critical value. When the impulsive period is larger than some critical value, the stability of the pest-eradication periodic solution is lost; the system is uniformly permanent. Thus, we can use the stability of the positive periodic solution and its period to control insect pests at acceptably low levels. Numerical results show that the system we consider can take on various kinds of periodic fluctuations and several types of attractor coexistence and is dominated by period-doubling cascade, symmetry-breaking pitchfork bifurcation, quasi-periodic oscillate, chaos, and non-unique dynamics.  相似文献

Based on the classical predator–prey system with Watt-type functional response, an impulsive differential equations to model the process of periodic perturbations on the predator at different fixed time for pest control is proposed and investigated. It proves that there exists a globally asymptotically stable prey-eradication periodic solution when the impulse period is less than some critical value, and otherwise, the system can be permanent. Numerical results show that the system considered has more complicated dynamics involving quasi-periodic oscillation, narrow periodic window, wide periodic window, chaotic bands, period doubling bifurcation, symmetry-breaking pitchfork bifurcation, period-halving bifurcation and “crises”, etc. It will be useful for studying the dynamic complexity of ecosystems.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the dynamic behavior of an eco-epidemic model with impulsive control strategy. By using Floquet theorem of impulsive differential equation, we show there is a globally stable prey eradication periodic solution when the impulsive period is less than some critical value. We study the permanence of the system. Numerical simulations show that the complex dynamics of the system depends on the values of impulsive period and impulsive perturbation, for example double period, triple period solutions.  相似文献

A predator–prey system with group defense and impulsive control strategy is established. By using Floquet theorem and small amplitude perturbation skills, a locally asymptotically stable prey-eradication periodic solution is obtained when the impulsive period is less than some critical value. Otherwise, if the impulsive period is larger than the critical value, the system is permanent. An impulsive SI model with Monod-Haldane functional response for pest control is proposed and investigated. First, we have proved that there exists an asymptotically stable pest-eradication periodic solution when the impulsive period is less than some critical value. Otherwise, the above system can be permanent. Then, influences of impulsive perturbation including impulse period, the time of spraying pesticide and the quantity of releasing infective pests on the above system have been studied. Moreover, numerical simulations show that the system has rich dynamical behaviors. Finally, it is concluded that the approach of combining impulsive infective releasing with impulsive pesticide spraying is more effective than the classical one if the chemical control is adopted rationally.  相似文献

In this paper, a general Kolmogorov type predator–prey model is considered. Together with a constant-yield predator harvesting, the state dependent feedback control strategies which take into account the impulsive harvesting on predators as well as the impulsive stocking on the prey are incorporated in the process of population interactions. We firstly study the existence of an order-1 homoclinic cycle for the system. It is shown that an order-1 positive periodic solution bifurcates from the order-1 homoclinic cycle through a homoclinic bifurcation as the impulsive predator harvesting rate crosses some critical value. The uniqueness and stability of the order-1 positive periodic solution are derived by applying the geometry theory of differential equations and the method of successor function. Finally, some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the main results. These results indicate that careful management of resources and harvesting policies is required in the applied conservation and renewable resource contexts.  相似文献

In this paper, the predator–prey system with the Beddington–DeAngelis functional response is developed, by introducing a proportional periodic impulsive catching or poisoning for the prey populations and a constant periodic releasing for the predator. The Beddington–DeAngelis functional response is similar to the Holling type II functional response but contains an extra term describing mutual interference by predators. This model has the potential to protect predator from extinction, but under some conditions may also lead to extinction of the prey. That is, the system exists a locally stable prey-eradication periodic solution when the impulsive period satisfies an inequality. The condition for permanence is established via the method of comparison involving multiple Liapunov̀ functions. Further, by numerical simulation method the influences of the impulsive perturbations and mutual interference by predators on the inherent oscillation are investigated. With the increasing of releasing for the predator, the system appears a series of complex phenomenon, which include (1) period-doubling, (2) chaos attractor, (3) period-halfing. (4) non-unique dynamics (meaning that several attractors coexist).  相似文献
