This paper is devoted to study the dynamical behavior of a modified Autonomous Van der Pol-Duffing (ADVP) circuit when its nonlinear element is replaced by a flux controlled memristor. The bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov exponents, and phase portraits of the state variables are presented. Then, the chaos which appears at certain values of the system’s parameters is controlled using linear feedback control. Finally, the synchronization between two chaotic modified ADVP circuits is achieved in the case of fully unknown parameters of the system using adaptive synchronization.  相似文献

The complexity of a nonlinear dynamical system is controllable via a selection of system parameters. One representative behavior of such a complex system can be illustrated by Hopf bifurcation. This paper presents a Hopf bifurcation analysis of a kind of integro-differential equations with unbounded delay. Based on the Hopf bifurcation principle, a set of relationships among system parameters are obtained when a periodic orbit exists in the system. A numerical analysis is applied to solve the integro-differential delay equation. This paper proves the existence of Hopf bifurcation in the corresponding difference equations under the same system parameters as that in the integro-differential delay equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze dynamical behaviors of the Lorenz-type system via the complementary-cluster energy-barrier criterion. Moreover the Hopf bifurcation of this system is also investigated by means of the first Lyapunov coefficient. As a consequence, it is proved that this system has three Hopf bifurcation points, at which these Hopf bifurcations are nondegenerate and supercritical.  相似文献

This paper characterizes some complex dynamics of Chen’s system. Some conditions of existence for pitchfork bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation are derived by using bifurcation theory and the center manifold theorem. Numerical simulation results not only show consistence with the theoretical analysis but also display some new and interesting dynamical behaviors including homoclinic bifurcation and the coexistence of two stable limit cycles and one chaotic attractor as well as some periodic solutions emerging from Hopf bifurcation but ending in homoclinic bifurcation, which are different from those reported in the literature before. All these show that Chen’s system has very rich nonlinear dynamics.  相似文献

The paper studies the dynamical behaviors of a discrete Logistic system with feedback control. The system undergoes Flip bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation by using the center manifold theorem and the bifurcation theory. Numerical simulations not only illustrate our results, but also exhibit the complex dynamical behaviors of the system, such as the period-doubling bifurcation in periods 2, 4, 8 and 16, and quasi-periodic orbits and chaotic sets.  相似文献

A nonlinear stochastic dynamical model on a typical HAB algae diatom and dianoflagellate densities was created and presented in this paper. Simplifying the model through a stochastic averaging method, we obtained a two-dimensional diffusion process of averaged amplitude and phase. The singular boundary theory of diffusion process and the invariant measure theory were applied in analyzing the bifurcation of stability and the Hopf bifurcation of the stochastic system. The critical value of the stochastic Hopf bifurcation parameter was obtained and the conclusion that the position of Hopf bifurcation drifting with the parameter increase is presented as a result.  相似文献

(2009) [5] are investigated in order to reconsider celebrated Hopf bifurcation as the simplest bifurcation of Fredholm operators of zero index. In this paper, a predator-prey system with two discrete delays and stage structure for both the predator and the prey is investigated. The dynamical behaviors such as local stability and local Hopf bifurcation are analyzed by regarding the possible combinations of the two delays as bifurcating parameter. Some explicit formulae determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are derived by using the normal form method and the center manifold theory. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to support the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

The Hopf bifurcation of an equilibrium in dynamical systems consisting of n equations with a single time delay and translational symmetry is investigated. The Jacobian belonging to the equilibrium of the corresponding delay-differential equations always has a zero eigenvalue due to the translational symmetry. This eigenvalue does not depend on the system parameters, while other characteristic roots may satisfy the conditions of Hopf bifurcation. An algorithm for this Hopf bifurcation calculation (including the center-manifold reduction) is presented. The closed form results are demonstrated for a simple model of cars following each other along a ring.  相似文献

Both discrete and distributed delays are considered in a two‐neuron system. We analyze the influence of interaction coefficient and time delay on the Hopf‐pitchfork bifurcation. First, we obtain the codimension‐2 unfolding with original parameters for Hopf‐pitchfork bifurcation by using the center manifold reduction and the normal form method. Next, through analyzing the unfolding structure, we give complete bifurcation diagrams and phase portraits, in which multistability and other dynamical behaviors of the original system are found, such as a stable periodic orbit, the coexistence of two stable nontrivial equilibria, and the coexistence of a stable periodic orbit and two stable equilibria. In addition, the obtained theoretical results are verified by numerical simulations. Finally, we perform the comparisons of the obtained results of Hopf‐pitchfork bifurcation with other Hopf‐fold bifurcation results in some biological neural systems and give the obtained mathematical results corresponding to the physical states of neurons. In this article, a novel four dimensional autonomous nonlinear systezm called hyperchaotic Rikitake system is proposed. Basic properties of the new system are investigated and the complex dynamical behaviors, such as time series, bifurcation diagram, and Lyapunov exponents are analyzed by dynamic analysis approaches. To control the new hyperchaotic system, the delayed feedback control is introduced. Regarding the time delay as a bifurcation parameter, stability and bifurcations with respect to time delay are investigated. Conditions assuring the existence of Hopf bifurcation and the distribution of roots to the associated characteristic equation are investigated by utilizing the polynomial theorem. Besides, the Hopf bifurcation is proved to occur when the bifurcation parameter (time delay) crosses through derived critical value. In this paper, we study the existence of periodic orbits bifurcating from stationary solutions of a planar dynamical system of Filippov type. This phenomenon is interpreted as a generalized Hopf bifurcation. In the case of smoothness, Hopf bifurcation is characterized by a pair of complex conjugate eigenvalues crossing through the imaginary axis. This method does not carry over to nonsmooth systems, due to the lack of linearization at the origin which is located on the line of discontinuity. In fact, generalized Hopf bifurcation is determined by interactions between the discontinuity of the system and the eigen-structures of all subsystems. With the help of geometrical observations for a corresponding piecewise linear system, we derive an analytical method to investigate the existence of periodic orbits that are obtained by searching for the fixed points of return maps.  相似文献

Hopf bifurcation which produces oscillations is a very important phenomena in the theory and application of dynamical systems. Almost all works available about Hopf bifurcations are related to a non-degenerate focus or center. For the case of a degenerate focus or center, the study of the bifurcations becomes challenge. In this paper, we consider the bifurcation of limit cycles for a quartic near-Hamiltonian system by perturbing a nilpotent center. In order to further understand a complex 3D dynamical system showing strange chaotic attractors with two stable node-foci near Hopf bifurcation point, we propose nonlinear control scheme to the system and the controlled system, depending on five parameters, can exhibit codimension one, two, and three Hopf bifurcations in a much larger parameter regain. The control strategy used keeps the equilibrium structure of the chaotic system and can be applied to degenerate Hopf bifurcation at the desired location with preferred stability.  相似文献

研究了一类时变动力系统的高余维分岔及其控制问题,首先利用新方法对时变分岔方程的两个方向的分岔转迁和跃迁现象进行分析,分别通过慢变解的线性化近似和量级平衡估计分岔转迁值,然后研究这类时变分岔方程的线性反蚀控制问题,通过分析相应的二维高次自治系统的Hopf分岔,在适当的条件下得到了稳定的动态滞后环,研究揭示出脉冲振动产生的机理是分岔参数随时间周期变化经过定常分岔值时所发生的分岔转迁的滞后和跃迁现象。  相似文献

The main aim of the present work is to detect the Hopf bifurcation in policy relevant economic dynamical system. The study employs two deferent forms of monetary policy rules namely: Taylor rule and inflation targeting rule. This paper reports a four-dimension (4D) fast-slow hyperchaotic system with the structure of two time scales by adding a slow state variable w into a three-dimension (3D) chaotic dynamical system, studies the stability and Hopf bifurcation of origin point. Furthermore, based on the fast-slow dynamical bifurcation analysis and the phase planes analysis, different bursting phenomena, symmetric fold/fold bursting, symmetric sub-Hopf/sub-Hopf bursting and chaotic bursting, as well as chaotic and periodic spiking, are observed in the fast-slow hyperchaotic system. A discrete predator-prey system with Holling type-IV functional response obtained by the Euler method is first investigated. The conditions of existence for fold bifurcation, flip bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation are derived by using the center manifold theorem and bifurcation theory. Furthermore, we give the condition for the occurrence of codimension-two bifurcation called the Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation for fixed points and present approximate expressions for saddle-node, Hopfand homoclinic bifurcation sets near the Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation point. We also show the existence of degenerated fixed point with codimension three at least. The numerical simulations, including bifurcation diagrams, phase portraits, and computation of maximum Lyapunov exponents, not only show the consistence with the theoretical analysis but also exhibit the rich and complex dynamical behaviors such as the attracting invariant circle, period-doubling bifurcation from period-2,3,4 orbits.interior crisis, intermittency mechanic, and sudden disappearance of chaotic dynamic.  相似文献
