揭示修饰态原子相干对吸收的相长干涉产生电磁诱导吸收,这与修饰态原子相干对吸收的相消干涉导致电磁诱导透明的情形形成鲜明的对照. 以三个电偶极跃迁构成N型链的四能级系统为例,中间跃迁作为探测跃迁,在修饰态表象中分裂成四个相互耦合的跃迁. 这些耦合源于介质的自发辐射和介质激发态相干到基态相干的自发转移. 前者对所有四个探测跃迁产生相同符号的耦合,表现为对吸收的抑制. 而后者对其中两个跃迁产生正号的耦合,对另两个跃迁产生负号的耦合. 正是这些正负参半的耦合显著改变修饰态相干对吸收的贡献,使之由抑制吸收改变为增强吸

当两束激光以Λ-构型作用于三能级原子系统并满足双光子共振条件时,探测激光场吸收谱呈现电磁诱导透明(EIT)特征.若再加一个微波控制场作用于该三能级系统的两个低能级跃迁之间,会导致探测吸收特性明显变化,EIT窗口将发生劈裂.通过求解相应的密度矩阵方程,揭示了外加微波场作用下EIT窗口的变化规律,并给出了相应的缀饰态解释.研究结果表明,在适当的条件下, 电磁诱导透明呈现三重结构,而EIT窗口的频率位置取决于微波控制场的拉比频率及频率失谐量.因此通过改变微波控制场的参数可以实现多EIT窗口的频率调谐.

This paper investigates the effects of spontaneously induced coherence on absorption
properties in a nearly equispaced three-level ladder-type system driven by two
coherent fields. It find that the absorption properties of this system with the
probe field applied on the lower transition can be significantly modified if this
coherence is optimized. In the case of small spontaneous decay rate in the upper
excited state, it finds that such coherence does not destroy the electromagnetically
induced transparency (EIT). Nevertheless, the absorption peak on both sides of zero
detuning and the linewidth of absorption line become larger and narrower than those
in the case corresponding to the effects of spontaneously induced coherence; while
in the case of large decay rate, it finds that, instead of EIT with low resonant
absorption, a sharp absorption peak at resonance appears. That is,
electromagnetically induced absorption in the nearly equispaced ladder-type system

The alteration of atomic absorption via quantum coherence is observed in the degenerate two-level atomic system. It is shown that when the detuning of coupling field equals to that of probe light, i.e. two-photon resonance, the reduction of atomic absorption via electromagnetically induced transparency occurs. However, when we tune the coupling field to two-photon off-resonance, the enhancement of absorption is obtained for the probe field. The influences of one-photon detuning and intensity of coupling field on absorption are also experimentally demonstrated. 相似文献

The phenomenon of electromagnetically induced quantum coherence is demonstrated between three confined electron subband levels in a quantum well which are almost equally spaced in energy. Applying a strong coupling field, two-photon resonant with the 1-3 intersubband transition, produces a pronounced narrow transparency feature in the 1-2 absorption line. This result can be understood in terms of all three states being simultaneously driven into "phase-locked" quantum coherence by a single coupling field. We describe the effect theoretically with a density matrix method and an adapted linear response theory. 相似文献

考虑激子-双激子的相干效应, 解析地研究了半导体单量子点中探测光和信号光的吸收特性和非线性传播特性.结果发现, 在线性条件下, 单量子点中出现电磁感应透明现象; 进一步分析可得, 电磁感应透明所呈现的是单窗口或双窗口或光学增益均可通过调节控制光强加以控制.在非线性条件下, 弱信号光诱导弱探测光产生两个分量, 这两个分量在系统中所激发的自克尔和交叉克尔 非线性效应与系统的衍射效应相平衡从而形成稳定的亮-亮, 亮-暗, 暗-暗等空间光孤子对.

Electromagnetically induced transparency and absorption of a monochromatic light controlled by a radio frequency field in the cold multi-Zeeman-sublevel atoms are theoretically investigated. These Zeeman sublevels are coupled by a radio frequency(RF) field. Both electromagnetically induced transparency and electromagnetically induced absorption can be obtained by tuning the frequency of RF field for both the linear polarization and elliptical polarization monochromatic lights. When the transfer of coherence via spontaneous emission from the excited state to the ground state is considered, electromagnetically induced absorption can be changed into electromagnetically induced transparency with the change of intensity of radio field. The transparency windows controlled by the RF field can have potential applications in the magnetic-field measurement and quantum information processing. 相似文献

We report experimentally the transformation from the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) resonance to a dispersion-like signal and eventually to a nearly symmetric absorption resonance as coupling detuning increases in A-type three-level system in the cesium vapor cell with buffer gas at room temperature. The observed absorption resonance occupies some remarkable properties of the strong amplitude and the narrow linewidth in comparison with the case without buffer gas. The relation between linewidth of the enhanced absorption resonance and buffer gas pressure is studied. With pressure increasing, linewidth of the absorption resonance becomes narrow. The sub-natural linewidth is observed in Doppler-broadened cesium vapor cell in our experiment. The experimental results are in qualitative agreement with the numerical simulations. 相似文献
