We establish the existence of positive entire solutions to cooperative systems of semilinear elliptic equations involving nonlinearities with critical and supercritical growth. Consequently, we obtain existence results to several well-known model examples such as systems of the Hénon, Lane–Emden, and stationary Schrödinger types. The main technique for generating our results relies on a topological approach for the shooting method combined with nonexistence results to closely related boundary value problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the existence and multiplicity of solutions of second-order Hamiltonian systems. We propose a generalized asymptotically linear condition on the gradient of Hamiltonian function, classify the linear Hamiltonian systems, prove the monotonicity of the index function, and obtain some new conditions on the existence and multiplicity for generalized asymptotically linear Hamiltonian systems by global analysis methods such as the Leray-Schauder degree theory, the Morse theory, the Ljusternik-Schnirelman theory, etc.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce weighted variational inequalities over product of sets and system of weighted variational inequalities. It is noted that the weighted variational inequality problem over product of sets and the problem of system of weighted variational inequalities are equivalent. We give a relationship between system of weighted variational inequalities and systems of vector variational inequalities. We define several kinds of weighted monotonicities and establish several existence results for the solution of the above-mentioned problems under these weighted monotonicities. We introduce also the weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets, that is, weighted variational inequalities for multivalued maps and systems of weighted generalized variational inequalities. Extensions of weighted monotonicities for multivalued maps are also considered. The existence of a solution of weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets is also studied. The existence results for a solution of weighted generalized variational inequality problem give also the existence of solutions of systems of generalized vector variational inequalities. This paper deals with the problem of location and existence of limit cycles for real planar polynomial differential systems. We provide a method to construct Poincar\''e--Bendixson regions by using transversal curves, that enables us to prove the existence of a limit cycle that has been numerically detected. We apply our results to several known systems, like the Brusselator one or some Li\''{e}nard systems, to prove the existence of the limit cycles and to locate them very precisely in the phase space. Our method, combined with some other classical tools can be applied to obtain sharp bounds for the bifurcation values of a saddle-node bifurcation of limit cycles, as we do for the Rychkov system.  相似文献

The concept of a covering system was first introduced by Erd?s in 1950. Since their introduction, a lot of the research regarding covering systems has focused on the existence of covering systems with certain restrictions on the moduli. Arguably, the most famous open question regarding covering systems is the odd covering problem. In this paper, we explore a variation of the odd covering problem, allowing a single odd prime to appear as a modulus in the covering more than once, while all other moduli are distinct, odd, and greater than 1. We also consider this variation while further requiring the moduli of the covering system to be square-free.  相似文献

In 1973, Kopell and Howard introduced a λ–ω reaction–diffusion system and found an explicit family of periodic travelling wave solutions lying on circles with radius less than 1. Since λ–ω systems represent universal models for studying chemical processes, and onset of turbulent behaviour, etc., explicit solutions of λ–ω systems with delays or discrete λ–ω systems can be of further help when the only method for obtaining other solutions is through numerical computation. There are now much investigations of various λ–ω systems. However, it is of interest to note that none attempts to find explicit travelling wave solutions. In this paper, we investigate the existence of explicit solutions for the simplest Euler scheme of a λ–ω system with delays or advancements which is described as a coupled pair of partial difference equations. We are able to provide necessary as well as sufficient conditions for the existence of numerical periodic travelling wave solutions. Additionally, we also provide some examples to show that our explicit solutions are qualitatively different from those found by Kopell and Howard and hence they may be of interests for specialists in the area of reaction–diffusion systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a system of vector variational inequalities and a system of nonsmooth variational inequalities defined by means of Clarke directional derivative. We also consider the Nash equilibrium problem with vector pay-offs and its scalarized form. We present some relations among these systems and problems. The existence results for a solution of system of nonsmooth variational inequalities are given. As a consequence, we derive an existence result for a solution of Nash equilibrium problem with vector pay-offs.  相似文献

We give the first known examples of 6-sparse Steiner triple systems by constructing 29 such systems in the residue class 7 modulo 12, with orders ranging from 139 to 4447. We then present a recursive construction which establishes the existence of 6-sparse systems for an infinite set of orders. Observations are also made concerning existing construction methods for perfect Steiner triple systems, and we give a further example of such a system. This has order 135,859 and is only the fourteenth known. Finally, we present a uniform Steiner triple system of order 180,907.  相似文献

In this paper we consider reaction-diffusion systems in which the conditions imposed on the nonlinearity provide global existence of solutions of the Cauchy problem, but not uniqueness. We prove first that for the set of all weak solutions the Kneser property holds, that is, that the set of values attained by the solutions at every moment of time is compact and connected. Further, we prove the existence and connectedness of a global attractor in both the autonomous and nonautonomous cases. The obtained results are applied to several models of physical (or chemical) interest: a model of fractional-order chemical autocatalysis with decay, the Fitz-Hugh-Nagumo equation and the Ginzburg-Landau equation.  相似文献

This paper discusses the existence and multiplicity of periodic orbits of Hamiltonian systems on symmetric positive-type hypersurfaces. We prove that each such energy hypersurface carries at least one symmetric periodic orbit. This article is primarily focusing on the existence of Sobolev‐type Hilfer fractional neutral integro‐differential systems via measure of noncompactness. We study our primary outcomes by employing fractional calculus, measure of noncompactness and fixed point technique. First, we discuss the existence of mild solution for the fractional evolution system. Then, we extend our results to discuss the system with nonlocal conditions. In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of solutions for the partly dissipative lattice dynamical systems in weighted spaces. We first establish the dynamic systems on infinite lattice, and then prove the existence of the global attractor in weighted spaces by the asymptotic compactness of the solutions. It is shown that the global attractors contain traveling waves. The upper semicontinuity of the global attractor is also considered by finite-dimensional approximations of attractors for the lattice systems.  相似文献

We prove here that limits of nonnegative solutions to reaction-diffusion systems whose nonlinearities are bounded in always converge to supersolutions of the system. The motivation comes from the question of global existence in time of solutions for the wide class of systems preserving positivity and for which the total mass of the solution is uniformly bounded. We study general nonsquare linear systems of differential-algebraic systems of arbitrary order. We analyze the classical procedure of turning the system into a first order system and demonstrate that this approach may lead to different solvability results and smoothness requirements. We present several examples that demonstrate this phenomenon and then derive existence and uniqueness results for differential-algebraic systems of arbitrary order and index. We use these results to identify exactly those variables for which the order reduction to first order does not lead to extra smoothness requirements and demonstrate the effects of this new formulation with a numerical example.Dedicated to Richard S. We investigate the existence problem for blow-up solutions of cubic differential systems. We find sets of initial values of the blow-up solutions. We also discuss a method of finding upper estimates for the blow-up time of these solutions. Our approach can be applied to systems of partial differential equations. We apply this approach to the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem for systems of semilinear heat equations with cubic nonlinearities.  相似文献
