Mean theoretic approach to the grand Furuta inequality

Very recently, Furuta obtained the grand Furuta inequality which is a parameteric formula interpolating the Furuta inequality and the Ando-Hiai inequality as follows : If and is invertible, then for each ,

is a decreasing function of both and for all and . In this note, we employ a mean theoretic approach to the grand Furuta inequality. Consequently we propose a basic inequality, by which we present a simple proof of the grand Furuta inequality.

This paper aims to show a sharpening of Furuta (1989): Let , and ; then . We call it the complete form of Furuta inequality because the case of it implies the essential part () of Furuta inequality for by the famous Löwner-Heinz inequality. Afterwards, the optimality of the outer exponent of the complete form is considered. Lastly, we give some applications of the complete form to Aluthge transformation.

Bounds for solutions of a differential inequality

This work compares the solutions of an th order differential inequality plus boundary conditions with the solution of the related differential equation with boundary conditions. The differential operator is assumed to be disconjugate. It is proved that under suitable conditions the ratio of these solutions is monotone. The average value inequality in sequential effect algebras

A sequential effect algebra （E, 0, 1, ,o） is an effect algebra on which a sequential product o with certain physics properties is defined; in particular, sequential effect algebra is an important model for studying quantum measurement theory. In 2005, Gudder asked the following problem： If a, b E （E, 0, 1, , o） and a⊥b and a o b⊥a o b, is it the case that 2（a o b） ≤ a2 b2 ？ In this paper, we construct an example to answer the problem negatively.

Small Compact Perturbation of Operators in B∞（Ω）

Abstract： We consider an approximation problem related to strongly irreducible operators, that is, does the direct sum of a strongly irreducible operator in B∞（Ω） and certain operator have a small compact perturbation which is a strongly irreducible operator in B∞（Ω）？ In this paper, we prove that the direct sum of any strongly irreducible operator in B∞（Ω） and certain biquasitriangular operator have small compact perturbations which are strongly irreducible operators in B∞（Ω）.     

Weighted Estimates for the Maximal Commutator of Singular Integral Operator on Spaces of Homogeneous Type

Weighted estimates with general weights are established for the maximal operator associated with the commutator generated by singular integral operator and BMO function on spaces of homogeneous type, where the associated kernel satisfies the HSlder condition on the first variable and some condition which is fairly weaker than the Holder condition on the second variable.     

On the Bohr inequality of operators

This paper is focused on the operator inequalities of the Bohr type. We will give a new and transparent proof for the operator Bohr inequality through an absolute value operator identity, show some related operator inequalities by means of 2×2 (block) operator matrices, and finally we will present a generalization of the operator Bohr inequality for multiple operators.     

Fixed Point Theory for 1-Set Weakly Contractive Operators in Banach Spaces

In this work, using an analogue of Sadovskii＇s fixed point result and several important inequalities we investigate and give new existence theorems for the nonlinear operator equation F（x） =μx, （μ≥1） for some weakly sequentially continuous, weakly condensing and weakly 1-set weakly contractive operators with different boundary conditions. Correspondingly, we can obtain some applicable fixed point theorems of Leray-Schauder, Altman and Furi-Pera types in the weak topology setting which generalize and improve the corresponding results of [3,15,16].
