This paper investigates the dynamic response of a rotating ball screw subjected to a moving regenerative force. The rotating ball screw is modeled as a rotating Timoshenko shaft with simply supports. The moving regenerative force describes the nonlinear interactions including the effects of wheel wear, time-delay, and the possibility of contact loss between the grinding wheel head and screw. The assumed mode method together with Runge–Kutta method is employed to analyze the system dynamic response. The total grinding depth is suggested to divide into several passes from rough grinding to fine grinding for obtaining fine surface. The effect of parameters such as the depth of cut and the rotational speeds of grinding wheel and screw are discussed for each pass. The numerical results show that the critical depth of cut depends on the rotational speeds of screw and grinding wheel. If the more the depth of cut is smaller than the critical depth of cut, the earlier the chatter occurs and the faster the vibration grows.  相似文献

Chaos, control, anticontrol and synchronization of chaos for an autonomous rotational machine system with a hexagonal centrifugal governor and spring for which time-delay effect is considered are studied in the paper. By applying numerical results, phase diagram and power spectrum are presented to observe periodic and chaotic motions. Linear feedback control and adaptive control algorithm are used to control chaos effectively. Linear and nonlinear feedback synchronization and phase synchronization for the coupled systems are presented. Finally, anticontrol of chaos for this system is also studied.  相似文献

Grinding is a commonly used method for producing pulps for papermaking, but its rather poor energy efficiency is a drawback. This paper focuses on developing a model dealing with temperature rise in wood during grinding. The model paves the way for the development of theoretical methods which can be used for reducing the energy consumption of the process. In grinding, wood is loaded by grits, which cause stress waves in the wood matrix. The stress waves fatigue the wood and ultimately separate fibres from the matrix, but because of wood’s viscoelasticity, part of the mechanical energy of waves is converted into heat. In order to understand the wood temperature increase in this process, a mechanistic model is developed here. The model is based on three hypotheses: a flux of mechanical energy occurs through the wood, the magnitude of the flux can be derived from the contact mechanics of the grits, and the rise in wood temperature can be determined from the dissipation of the flux. A temperature distribution in the actual grinding process was simulated with the model. The simulated temperatures were compared with a measured temperature profile obtained from the literature. The modelled and measured temperatures matched quite well. The simulations show that an increase in grit size results higher temperatures, whereas an increase in the distance between grits gives lower temperatures. The main result of the study is that the Hertz theory of contact mechanics can be considered an adequate method for analysing the effect of grits in the grinding process. The result shows that the Hertz theory is applicable when fatigue models are developed; these models can then be used to reduce the energy consumption of the process.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the process of hot-rolling steel strip.The thickness is reduced by passing the strip through a sequenceof rollers with reductions varying from 40% at the first rollpair to about 10% at the last pair. Between the roll pairs,the strip deflection curve is controlled by a looper roll. Amathematical model of the coupled roll gap and interstand regionis required to assist in the initial setup so as to spread theloads and torques evenly through the roll stands. The modelis of potential value in monitoring the transient behaviourof the rolling process. A review of the various models for eachregion and a coupled complete rolling model is described.  相似文献

The state-delay is always existent in the practical systems. Analysis of the delay phenomenon in a continuous-time domain is sophisticated. It is appropriate to obtain its corresponding discrete-time model for implementation via digital computer. In this paper, we propose a new scheme for the discretization of nonlinear systems using Taylor series expansion and the zero-order hold assumption. This scheme is applied to the sample-data representation of a nonlinear system with constant state time-delay. The mathematical expressions of the discretization scheme are presented and the effect of the time-discretization method on equilibrium properties of nonlinear control system with state time-delay is examined. The proposed scheme provides a finite-dimensional representation for nonlinear systems with state time-delay enabling existing controller design techniques to be applied to them. The performance of the proposed discretization procedure is evaluated using a nonlinear system. For this nonlinear system, various sampling rates and time-delay values are considered.  相似文献

Developing suitable dynamic models of bioprocess is a difficult issue in bioscience. In this paper, considering the microbial metabolism mechanism, i.e., the production of new biomass is delayed by the amount of time it takes to metabolize the nutrients, in glycerol bioconversion to 1,3-propanediol, we propose a nonlinear time-delay system to formulate the fed-batch fermentation process. Some important properties are also discussed. Then, in view of the effect of time-delay and the high number of kinetic parameters in the system, the parametric sensitivity analysis is used to determine the key parameters. Finally, a parameter identification model is presented and a global optimization method is developed to seek the optimal key parameters. Numerical results show that the nonlinear time-delay system can describe the fed-batch fermentation process reasonably.  相似文献

This paper presents an advanced probabilistic model of the grinding process considering the random arrangement of the grain vertices at the wheel active surface. The general model has been developed based on well-founded assumptions. The process of shaping the ground surface roughness, the probability of contact between the grains and the work-material as well as the undeformed chip thickness are described along the grinding zone. Eight special models obtained by substituting general relationships with special functions are also presented. The calculations performed for the special models lead to interesting conclusions relating to the real length of the grinding zone, which is considerably longer than the nominal (geometric) contact length, taken by default in most known approaches.  相似文献

The manufacturing of high performance cutting tools, like drills and chamfers, is done by a deep grinding process. This tool grinding process shows nonlinear relations between predefined process parameters, as cutting depth, feed speed and cutting speed, and the process characteristics, as process forces, surface properties and stability. Within an interdisciplinary research project a process model is built up to represent the process machine interaction and to predict process forces, deformation of the workpiece and geometry errors caused by this deformation. In this paper, the process model and the coupling of the included submodules will be described. In order to successfully automate levelling processes, in particular for heavy plates, the deflection of the leveller has to be compensated based on a deflection model. In this work, a detailed mathematical deflection model of a hot leveller with bending mechanism and its experimental validation are presented. The roll intermesh profiles are calculated based on the deflection of the work rolls that are elastically supported by support rolls, frames, posts and adjustment screws. The deflection model is suited to compensate the effect of deflection on the roll intermesh and the plate flatness as well as to assess the loads of critical parts, for example the support rolls. A new experimental design to measure the deflection of a leveller is presented and successfully applied for model validation. The work roll deflection is measured directly by means of displacement sensors that are inserted in cut-outs of test plates. These test plates are modelled as linear elastic stripes. For normal load levels, the relative accuracy (repeatability) of the roll intermesh prediction of the model is better than 0.08 mm.  相似文献

In an earlier paper a theory for the compaction of an incompressiblegranular material into a cohesive strip by rolling was developed.The present paper deals with the extension of this theory tothe case of a compressible material. The investigation is basedon the model of the plane-strain deformation of an isotropiccontinuum satisfying the Coulomb-Mohr flow criterion in whichthe material density is related to the pressure by a power law.General equations for the determination of the roll pressureare derived and are used to compute the roll force and torquefactors for a particular physical process. In this paper, the homotopy analysis method is applied to develop a analytic approach for nonlinear differential equations with time-delay. A nonlinear model in biology is used as an example to show the basic ideas of this analytic approach. Different from other analytic techniques, the homotopy analysis method provides a simple way to ensure the convergence of the solution series, so that one can always get accurate approximations. A new discontinuous function is defined so as to express the piecewise continuous solutions of time-delay differential equations in a way convenient for symbolic computations. It is found that the time-delay has a great influence on the solution of the time-delay nonlinear differential equation. This approach has general meanings and can be applied to solve other nonlinear problems with time-delay.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of stochastic stability for a class of time-delay Hopfield neural networks with Markovian jump parameters is investigated. The jumping parameters are modeled as a continuous-time, discrete-state Markov process. Without assuming the boundedness, monotonicity and differentiability of the activation functions, some results for delay-dependent stochastic stability criteria for the Markovian jumping Hopfield neural networks (MJDHNNs) with time-delay are developed. We establish that the sufficient conditions can be essentially solved in terms of linear matrix inequalities.  相似文献

In this paper, we design an adaptive-feedback controller to synchronize a class of noise-perturbed two bi-directionally coupled chaotic systems with time-delay and unknown parametric mismatch. Based on invariance principle of stochastic time-delay differential equations, some sufficient conditions of adaptive complete synchronization are given. Comparing with other papers, here we consider the effect of internal noise, time-delay and parametric mismatch in the synchronized process. As the illustrative examples, the famous Lorenz system and Rössler system are considered here. In order to validate the proposed scheme, numerical simulations are performed, and the numerical results show that our scheme is very effective.  相似文献

基于改进型Bessel-Legendre不等式方法,探讨了电力系统时滞相关鲁棒稳定性问题.首先构建了含有时滞环节的电力系统数学模型表达式,并推广出其含有不确定参数的模型表达式,通过应用时滞系统理论分析方法,有效地处理了泛函导数中的积分项,从而推导出了一个具有更小保守性的电力系统时滞相关鲁棒稳定新判据.通过三个数值实例对仿真结果进行了对比与验证,结果表明推导出的新判据具有有效性与优越性.  相似文献
