We study the embedding construction of Lie dialgebras (Leibniz algebras) into conformal algebras. This construction leads to the concept of a conformal representation of Leibniz algebras. We prove that each (finite-dimensional) Leibniz algebra possesses a faithful linear representation (of finite type). As a corollary we give a new proof of the Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for Leibniz algebras.  相似文献

Novikov algebras and Novikov structures on Lie algebras   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We study ideals of Novikov algebras and Novikov structures on finite-dimensional Lie algebras. We present the first example of a three-step nilpotent Lie algebra which does not admit a Novikov structure. On the other hand we show that any free three-step nilpotent Lie algebra admits a Novikov structure. We study the existence question also for Lie algebras of triangular matrices. Finally we show that there are families of Lie algebras of arbitrary high solvability class which admit Novikov structures.  相似文献

A Poisson algebra is a Lie algebra endowed with a commutative associative product in such a way that the Lie and associative products are compatible via a Leibniz rule. If we part from a Lie color algebra, instead of a Lie algebra, a graded-commutative associative product and a graded-version Leibniz rule we get a so-called Poisson color algebra (of degree zero). This concept can be extended to any degree, so as to obtain the class of Poisson color algebras of arbitrary degree. This class turns out to be a wide class of algebras containing the ones of Lie color algebras (and so Lie superalgebras and Lie algebras), Poisson algebras, graded Poisson algebras, z-Poisson algebras, Gerstenhaber algebras, and Schouten algebras among other classes of algebras. The present paper is devoted to the study of structure of Poisson color algebras of degree g0, where g0 is some element of the grading group G such that g0 = 0 or 4g0≠0, and with restrictions neither on the dimension nor the base field, by stating a second Wedderburn-type theorem for this class of algebras.  相似文献

Any commutative algebra equipped with a derivation may be turned into a Lie algebra under the Wronskian bracket. This provides an entirely new sort of a universal envelope for a Lie algebra, the Wronskian envelope. The main result of this paper is the characterization of those Lie algebras which embed into their Wronskian envelope as Lie algebras of vector fields on a line. As a consequence we show that, in contrast to the classical situation, free Lie algebras almost never embed into their Wronskian envelope.  相似文献

This paper studies the concepts of a totally compatible dialgebra and a totally compatible Lie dialgebra,defined to be a vector space with two binary operations that satisfy individual and mixed associativity conditions and Lie algebra conditions respectively.We show that totally compatible dialgebras are closely related to bimodule algebras and semi-homomorphisms.More significantly,Rota-Baxter operators on totally compatible dialgebras provide a uniform framework to generalize known results that Rota-Baxter related operators give tridendriform algebras.Free totally compatible dialgebras are constructed.We also show that a Rota-Baxter operator on a totally compatible Lie dialgebra gives rise to a PostLie algebra,generalizing the fact that a Rota-Baxter operator on a Lie algebra gives rise to a PostLie algebra.  相似文献

A locally convex Lie algebra is said to be locally exponential if it belongs to some local Lie group in canonical coordinates. In this note we give criteria for locally exponential Lie algebras of vector fields on an infinite-dimensional manifold to integrate to global Lie group actions. Moreover, we show that all necessary conditions are satisfied if the manifold is finite-dimensional connected and σ-compact, which leads to a generalization of Palais’ Integrability Theorem.   相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to give a brief introduction to the category of Lie Rinehart algebras and introduces the concept of smooth manifolds associated with a unitary, commutative,associative algebra A.It especially shows that the A-extended algebra as well as the action algebra can be realized as the space of A-left invariant vector fields on a Lie group,analogous to the well known relationship of Lie algebras and Lie groups.  相似文献

In 1990 Kantor defined the conservative algebra W(n) of all algebras (i.e. bilinear maps) on the n-dimensional vector space. If n>1, then the algebra W(n) does not belong to any well-known class of algebras (such as associative, Lie, Jordan, or Leibniz algebras). We describe automorphisms, one-sided ideals, and idempotents of W(2). Also similar problems are solved for the algebra W2 of all commutative algebras on the 2-dimensional vector space and for the algebra S2 of all commutative algebras with trace zero multiplication on the 2-dimensional vector space.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the notion of Jordan socle for nondegenerate Lie algebras, which extends the definition of socle given in [A. Fernández López et al., 3-Graded Lie algebras with Jordan finiteness conditions, Comm. Algebra, in press] for 3-graded Lie algebras. Any nondegenerate Lie algebra with essential Jordan socle is an essential subdirect product of strongly prime ones having nonzero Jordan socle. These last algebras are described, up to exceptional cases, in terms of simple Lie algebras of finite rank operators and their algebras of derivations. When working with Lie algebras which are infinite dimensional over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0, the exceptions disappear and the algebras of derivations are computed.  相似文献

We introduce and study the concept of a variety of dialgebras which is closely related to the concept of a variety of conformal algebras: Each dialgebra of a given variety embeds into an appropriate conformal algebra of the same variety. In particular, the Leibniz algebras are exactly Lie dialgebras, and each Leibniz algebra embeds into a conformal Lie algebra.  相似文献

Motivated by comatrix coalgebras, we introduce the concept of a Newtonian comatrix coalgebra. We construct an infinitesimal unitary bialgebra on matrix algebras, via the construction of a suitable coproduct. As a consequence, a Newtonian comatrix coalgebra is established. Furthermore, an infinitesimal unitary Hopf algebra, under the view of Aguiar, is constructed on matrix algebras. By the close relationship between pre-Lie algebras and infinitesimal unitary bialgebras, we erect a pre-Lie algebra and a new Lie algebra on matrix algebras. Finally, a weighted infinitesimal unitary bialgebra on non-commutative polynomial algebras is also given.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the “Factorization phenomenon” which occurs when a representation of a Lie algebra is restricted to a subalgebra, and the result factors into a tensor product of smaller representations of the subalgebra. We analyze this phenomenon for symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras (including finite-dimensional, semi-simple Lie algebras). We present a few factorization results for a general embedding of a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra into another and provide an algebraic explanation for such a phenomenon using Spin construction. We also give some application of these results for semi-simple, finite-dimensional Lie algebras.We extend the notion of Spin functor from finite-dimensional to symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras, which requires a very delicate treatment. We introduce a certain category of orthogonal g-representations for which, surprisingly, the Spin functor gives a g-representation in Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand category O. Also, for an integrable representation, Spin produces an integrable representation. We give the formula for the character of Spin representation for the above category and work out the factorization results for an embedding of a finite-dimensional, semi-simple Lie algebra into its untwisted affine Lie algebra. Finally, we discuss the classification of those representations for which Spin is irreducible.  相似文献

In a previous paper (C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris Sér. I 333 (2001) 763–768), the author introduced a notion of compatibility between a Poisson structure and a pseudo-Riemannian metric. In this paper, we introduce a new class of Lie algebras called pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebras. The two notions are closely related: we prove that the dual of a Lie algebra endowed with its canonical linear Poisson structure carries a compatible pseudo-Riemannian metric if and only if the Lie algebra is a pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebra. Moreover, the Lie algebra obtained by linearizing at a point a Poisson manifold with a compatible pseudo-Riemannian metric is a pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebra. We also give some properties of the symplectic leaves of such manifolds, and we prove that every Poisson manifold with a compatible Riemannian metric is unimodular. Finally, we study Poisson Lie groups endowed with a compatible pseudo-Riemannian metric, and we give the classification of all pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebras of dimension 2 and 3.  相似文献

In this article, we associate to affine algebraic or local analytic varieties their tangent algebra. This is the Lie algebra of all vector fields on the ambient space which are tangent to the variety. Properties of the relation between varieties and tangent algebras are studied. Being the tangent algebra of some variety is shown to be equivalent to a purely Lie algebra theoretic property of subalgebras of the Lie algebra of all vector fields on the ambient space. This allows to prove that the isomorphism type of the variety is determinde by its tangent algebra.  相似文献

Left-symmetric algebras (LSAs) are Lie admissible algebras arising from geometry. The leftinvariant affine structures on a Lie groupG correspond bijectively to LSA-structures on its Lie algebra. Moreover if a Lie group acts simply transitively as affine transformations on a vector space, then its Lie algebra admits a complete LSA-structure. In this paper we studysimple LSAs having only trivial two-sided ideals. Some natural examples and deformations are presented. We classify simple LSAs in low dimensions and prove results about the Lie algebra of simple LSAs using a canonical root space decomposition. A special class of complete LSAs is studied.  相似文献

A Lie algebra endowed with a nondegenerate, symmetric, invariant bilinear form is called a quadratic Lie algebra. In this paper, the author investigates the structure of solvable quadratic Lie algebras, in particular, the solvable quadratic Lie algebras whose Cartan subalgebras consist of semi-simple elements, the author presents a procedure to construct a class of quadratic Lie algebras from the point of view of cohomology and shows that all solvable quadratic Lie algebras can be obtained in this way.  相似文献
