Shadows and intersections in vector spaces

We prove a vector space analog of a version of the Kruskal-Katona theorem due to Lovász. We apply this result to extend Frankl's theorem on r-wise intersecting families to vector spaces. In particular, we obtain a short new proof of the Erd?s-Ko-Rado theorem for vector spaces.     

On Nondifferentiable and Nonconvex Vector Optimization Problems

In this paper, we prove the equivalence among the Minty vector variational-like inequality, Stampacchia vector variational-like inequality, and a nondifferentiable and nonconvex vector optimization problem. By using a fixed-point theorem, we establish also an existence theorem for generalized weakly efficient solutions to the vector optimization problem for nondifferentiable and nonconvex functions.     

Existence of Solutions of New Generalized Mixed Vector Variational-Like Inequalities in Reflexive Banach Spaces

In this paper, we extend the concept of monotonicity for a vector set-valued mapping to semimonotonicity for a vector set-valued mapping. Then, we prove solvability results for a class of new generalized mixed vector variational-like inequalities by applying the Fan-KKM theorem and Nadler’s result. On the other hand, we introduce the concepts of complete semicontinuity and strong semicontinuity for vector multivalued mappings. Moreover, by using the Brouwer fixed point theorem, we prove the solvability for the class of generalized vector variational-like inequalities without monotonicity assumption. Using this result, we obtain a theorem and corollary that improve and extend some known results.

锥凸对称向量拟均衡问题解集的通有稳定性

在拓扑向量空间中,利用Ky Fan截口定理得到一个锥凸向量拟均衡问题弱Pareto解的存在性结果.作为该结果的应用,得到了一个对称向量拟均衡问题在支付映射为锥凸条件下弱Pareto解的存在性定理.该定理在较弱的条件下回答了Fu在文献[1]中提出的第二个问题,即在支付映射为锥凸且连续的条件下对称向量拟均衡问题的弱Pareto解是否存在.最后在赋范线性空间中研究了锥凸对称向量拟均衡问题弱Pareto解集的通有稳定性.     

关于向量集值优化的Benson真有效性

对广义锥次数凸向量集值优化问题Benson真有效性解的标量化问题进行了研究,借助于一种新的择一性定理建立了广义锥次类凸向是集值优化问题Benson真有效解的Lagrange乘子型定理并讨论了乘子型对偶问题。

比较斯托克斯定理与格林公式及高斯定理与体面积分转换公式,发现斯托克斯定理与高斯定理分别比格林公式与体面积分的转换公式在表达形式上更简洁,在公式所包含的内容上更全面.建议通过比较斯托克斯定理与格林公式及高斯定理与体面积分转换公式讲解线面、体面积分的互换.     

An existence result for generalized vector equilibrium problems without pseudomonotonicity

In this work, we introduce and study a class of generalized vector equilibrium problems for multifunctions which includes a number of generalized vector variational inequality problems and generalized vector variational-like inequality problems as special cases. By using the KKM–Fan theorem and Nadler’s result, we prove an existence theorem for solutions for this class of generalized vector equilibrium problems in Banach spaces. Applications to generalized vector variational-like inequalities are given.

Minimax theorems for scalar set-valued mappings with nonconvex domains and applications

In this paper, by virtue of the separation theorem of convex sets, we prove a minimax theorem, a cone saddle point theorem and a Ky Fan minimax theorem for a scalar set-valued mapping under nonconvex assumptions of its domains, respectively. As applications, we obtain an existence result for the generalized vector equilibrium problem with a set-valued mapping. Simultaneously, we also obtain some generalized Ky Fan minimax theorems for set-valued mappings, in which the minimization and the maximization of set-valued mappings are taken in the sense of vector optimization.     

On the symmetric vector quasi-equilibrium problems

In this paper we, using a particular technique, consider the symmetric vector quasi-equilibrium problems in the Hausdorff topological vector space. As applications of our existence theorem, a coincidence point theorem and the existence of vector optimization problem for a pair of vector-valued mappings are obtained. Moreover, we answer an open question raised by Fu in [J.Y. Fu, Symmetric vector quasi-equilibrium problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 285 (2003) 708-713].     

A generalized Isserlis theorem for location mixtures of Gaussian random vectors

In a recent paper (Michalowicz et al., 2011), Michalowicz et al. provide an extension of the Isserlis theorem to the case of a Rademacher location mixture of a Gaussian vector. This theorem is known to physicists under the name of Wick’s theorem. We generalize here this result to the case of any location mixture of Gaussian vector; we also provide an example of the extension of the Isserlis theorem to a “scale-location” mixture of Gaussian, namely, the d-dimensional generalized hyperbolic distribution.     

A drop theorem without vector topology

Daneš' drop theorem is extended to bornological vector spaces. An immediate application is to establish Ekeland-type variational principle and its equivalence, Caristi fixed point theorem, in bornological vector spaces. Meanwhile, since every locally convex space becomes a convex bornological vector space when equipped with the canonical von Neumann bornology, Qiu's generalization of Daneš' work to locally convex spaces is recovered.     

Relative topological degree of set-valued compact vector fields and its applications

The authors define a concept of relative topological degree of set-valued compact vector fields with respect to a closed convex subset in a locally convex topological vector space. Using this concept, they extend the concept of degree of ultimately compact vector fields introduced by Sadovskii and generalized by Petryshyn and Fitzpatrick. The authors also establish a fixed point theorem of the Kakutani-Fan type and a generalized Borsuk fixed point theorem for ultimately compact operators.     

Domination problem for narrow orthogonally additive operators

The “Up-and-down” theorem which describes the structure of the Boolean algebra of fragments of a linear positive operator is the well known result in operator theory. We prove an analog of this theorem for a positive abstract Uryson operator defined on a vector lattice and taking values in a Dedekind complete vector lattice. This result is used to prove a theorem of domination for order narrow positive abstract Uryson operators from a vector lattice E to a Banach lattice F with an order continuous norm.     

Darboux theory of integrability in the sparse case

Darboux's theorem and Jouanolou's theorem deal with the existence of first integrals and rational first integrals of a polynomial vector field. These results are given in terms of the degree of the polynomial vector field. Here we show that we can get the same kind of results if we consider the size of a Newton polytope associated to the vector field. Furthermore, we show that in this context the bound is optimal.

A General Gordan Alternative Theorem with Weakened Convexity and Its Application

In this paper, we present a general Gordan alternative theorem for presubconvexlike functions in a Hausdorff topological linear space. This is then applied to discuss the saddle point theorem, concave-convex condition and minimax theorem for vector extremum problems.
