Two-person noncooperative games with finitely many pure strategies are considered, in which the players have linear orderings over sure outcomes but incomplete preferences over probability distributions resulting from mixed strategies. These probability distributions are evaluated according to t-degree stochastic dominance. A t-best reply is a strategy that induces a t-degree stochastically undominated distribution, and a t-equilibrium is a pair of t-best replies. The paper provides a characterization and an existence proof of t-equilibria in terms of representing utility functions, and shows that for large t behavior converges to a form of max–min play. Specifically, increased aversion to bad outcomes makes each player put all weight on a strategy that maximizes the worst outcome for the opponent, within the supports of the strategies in the limiting sequence of t-equilibria.The paper has benefitted from the comments of four referees and an associate editor.  相似文献

On the Tikhonov Well-Posedness of Concave Games and Cournot Oligopoly Games   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether theorems known to guarantee the existence and uniqueness of Nash equilibria, provide also sufficient conditions for the Tikhonov well-posedness (T-wp). We consider several hypotheses that ensure the existence and uniqueness of a Nash equilibrium (NE), such as strong positivity of the Jacobian of the utility function derivatives (Ref. 1), pseudoconcavity, and strict diagonal dominance of the Jacobian of the best reply functions in implicit form (Ref. 2). The aforesaid assumptions imply the existence and uniqueness of NE. We show that the hypotheses in Ref. 2 guarantee also the T-wp property of the Nash equilibrium.As far as the hypotheses in Ref. 1 are concerned, the result is true for quadratic games and zero-sum games. A standard way to prove the T-wp property is to show that the sets of -equilibria are compact. This last approach is used to demonstrate directly the T-wp property for the Cournot oligopoly model given in Ref. 3. The compactness of -equilibria is related also to the condition that the best reply surfaces do not approach each other near infinity.  相似文献

Two operators on the set ofn-person cooperative games are introduced, the minimarg operator and the maximarg operator. These operators can be seen as dual to each other. Some nice properties of these operators are given, and classes of games for which these operators yield convex (respectively, concave) games are considered. It is shown that, if these operators are applied iteratively on a game, in the limit one will yield a convex game and the other a concave game, and these two games will be dual to each other. Furthermore, it is proved that the convex games are precisely the fixed points of the minimarg operator and that the concave games are precisely the fixed points of the maximarg operator.  相似文献

研究区间Shapley值通常对区间值合作对策的特征函数有较多约束,本文研究没有这些约束条件的区间值合作对策,以拓展区间Shapley值的适用范围。首先,本文指出广义H-差在减法与加法运算中存在的问题,进而提出了一种改进的广义H-差,称为扩展的广义H-差。然后,基于扩展的广义H-差,定义了区间值合作对策的广义区间Shapley值,并用区间有效性、区间对称性、区间哑元性和区间可加性等四条公理刻画了该广义区间Shapley值。同时,证明了该值的存在性与唯一性,而且得到了该值的一些性质。研究表明,任意的区间值合作对策的广义区间Shapley值都存在。最后,以算例说明该广义区间Shapley值的可行性与实用性。  相似文献

This survey reviews the applications of differential game theory in analyzing issues in the economic literature. The needs of the economic discipline are juxtaposed with the merits of various existing types of differential games. The problem of defining threat strategies in nonzero-sum games is considered, and a definition of optimal threat strategies is proposed in the static case. This definition is then extended to differential games, and sufficient conditions for optimality of threat strategies are derived. These are then applied to a simple example. The definition proposed here is then compared with the definition of threat strategies given by Nash.  相似文献

We model repeated play of noncooperative stage games in terms of approximate gradient steps. That simple format requires little information and no optimization. Moreover, it allows players to evaluate marginal cost or profit inexactly and to move with different velocities. Uncertainty can also be accommodated. Granted some crucial stability, we show that play converges to Nash equilibrium.  相似文献

Uncertainty is a daily presence in the real world. It affects our decision-making and may have influence on cooperation. On many occasions, uncertainty is so severe that we can only predict some upper and lower bounds for the outcome of our actions, i.e. payoffs lie in some intervals. A suitable game theoretic model to support decision-making in collaborative situations with interval data is that of cooperative interval games. Solution concepts that associate with each cooperative interval game sets of interval allocations with appealing properties provide a natural way to capture the uncertainty of coalition values into the players’ payoffs. In this paper, the relations between some set-valued solution concepts using interval payoffs, namely the interval core, the interval dominance core, the square interval dominance core and the interval stable sets for cooperative interval games, are studied. It is shown that the interval core is the unique stable set on the class of convex interval games.  相似文献

The interval Shapley-like value for cooperative interval games was introduced by Han et al. (2012).A theorem of characterization of the interval Shapley-like value was provided in that paper. We propose two flexible game models to represent and analyze cases that cannot be modeled by current game models. One is called sharing creditability game (SCG) and the other is called bottomline game (BLG). The new models transform cooperative games into new games that incorporate auxiliary information (noncooperative in nature) usually neglected in previous theories. The new games will be solved only by traditional noncooperative game theory. When the new solutions are applied to the original games, the solutions can reflect the auxiliary information in addition to the original objectives of the decision makers or players. Generally, the new solutions are different from the cooperative and the noncooperative solutions of the original games. Existing transferable utility (TU) games and noncooperative games will coincide with special cases of the two new game models. Using SCG and BLG, the prisoner’s dilemma can be reformulated and a richer set of decisions can be considered for the players. Interior operator games were introduced by Bilbao et al. (2005) as additive games restricted by antimatroids. In that paper several interesting cooperative games were shown as examples of interior operator games. The antimatroid is a known combinatorial structure which represents, in the game theory context, a dependence system among the players. The aim of this paper is to study a family of values which are linear functions and satisfy reasonable conditions for interior operator games. 区间合作对策,是研究当联盟收益值为区间数情形时如何进行合理收益分配的数学模型。近年来,其解的存在性与合理性等问题引起了国内外专家的广泛关注。区间核心,是区间合作对策中一个非常稳定的集值解概念。本文首先针对区间核心的存在性进行深入的讨论,通过引入强非均衡,极小强均衡,模单调等概念,从不同角度给出判别区间核心存在性的充分条件。其次,通过引入相关参数,定义了广义区间核心,并给出定理讨论了区间核心与广义区间核心的存在关系。本文的结论将为进一步推动区间合作对策的发展,为解决区间不确定情形下的收益分配问题奠定理论基础。  相似文献

There are many interesting situations which can be described by anN-person general-sum differential game. Such games are characterized by the fact that the strategy of each player depends upon reasonable assumptions about the strategies of the remaining players; and, thus, these games cannot be considered asN uncoupled optimal control problems. In such cases, we say that the game is not strictly competitive, but involves a mutual interest which makes it possible for all of the players to reduce their costs by cooperating with one another, provided the resulting agreement can be enforced. When cooperation is allowed and there are more than two players, there is always the question of whether all possible subcoalitions will be formed with equal ease. This work considers the situation in which a particular subcoalition is preferred. A theory of general-sum games with preferred coalitions is presented, together with constructive examples of alternative approaches which are unsatisfactory.  相似文献

Search games with capacities are bipersonal zero-sum games where a player has to hide a number of objects or an amount of material in a fixed number of containers and his opponent attempts to locate them. In this article, we deal with games on a discrete structureless set and on a discrete set with linear order. In both cases, the capacities under consideration are continuous.
