Isomorphism classes and automorphism groups of algebras of Weyl type   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6
In one of our recent papers, the associative and the Lie algebras of Weyl typeA[D]=A⊗F[D] were defined and studied, whereA is a commutative associative algebra with an identity element over a field F of any characteristic, and F[D] is the polynomial algebra of a commutative derivation subalgebraD ofA. In the present paper, a class of the above associative and Lie algebrasA[D] with F being a field of characteristic 0,D consisting of locally finite but not locally nilpotent derivations ofA, are studied. The isomorphism classes and automorphism groups of these associative and Lie algebras are determined  相似文献

Simple algebras of Weyl type   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9
Over a fieldF of arbitrary characteristic, we define the associative and the Lie algebras of Weyl type on the same vector spaceA[D] =AF[D] from any pair of a commutative associative algebra,A with an identity element and the polynomial algebraF[D] of a commutative derivation subalgebraD ofA We prove thatA[D], as a Lie algebra (modulo its center) or as an associative algebra, is simple if and only ifA isD-simple andA[D] acts faithfully onA. Thus we obtain a lot of simple algebras. Su, Y., Zhao, K., Second cohornology group of generalized Witt type Lie algebras and certain representations, submitted to publication  相似文献

A class of graded simple associative algebras are constructed, and from them, simple Lie color algebras are obtained. The structure of these simple Lie color algebras is explicitly described. More precisely, for an (ε, Γ)-color-commutative associative algebraA with an identity element over a fieldF of characteristic not 2, and for a color-commutative subalgebraD of color-derivations ofA, denote byA[D] the associative subalgebra of End (A) generated byA (regarded as operators onA via left multiplication) andD. It is easily proved that, as an associative algebra,A[D] is Γ-graded simple if and only ifA is Γ-gradedD-simple. SupposeA is Γ-gradedD-simple. Then, (a)A[D] is a free leftA-module; (b) as a Lie color algebra, the subquotient [A[D],A[D]]/Z(A[D])∩[A[D],A[D]] is simple (except one minor case), whereZ(A[D]) is the color center ofA[D]. The present paper is devoted to the classification of infinite-dimensional naturally graded Lie algebras that are narrow in the sense of Zelmanov and Shalev [9]. Such Lie algebras are Lie algebras of slow linear growth. In the theory of nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equations the notion of the characteristic Lie algebra of equation is introduced [3]. Two graded Lie algebras n1 and n2 from our list, that are positive parts of the affine Kac–Moody algebras A1(1) and A2(2), respectively, are isomophic to the characteristic Lie algebras of the sinh-Gordon and Tzitzeika equations [6]. We also note that questions relating to narrow and slowly growing Lie algebras have been extensively studied in the case of a field of positive characteristic [2].

We introduce a new formalism of differential operators for a general associative algebra A. It replaces Grothendieck’s notion of differential operators on a commutative algebra in such a way that derivations of the commutative algebra are replaced by \mathbbDer(A){\mathbb{D}{\rm er}(A)}, the bimodule of double derivations. Our differential operators act not on the algebra A itself but rather on F(A){\mathcal{F}(A)}, a certain ‘Fock space’ associated to any noncommutative algebra A in a functorial way. The corresponding algebra D(F(A)){\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{F}(A))} of differential operators is filtered and gr D(F(A)){\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{F}(A))}, the associated graded algebra, is commutative in some ‘wheeled’ sense. The resulting ‘wheeled’ Poisson structure on gr D(F(A)){\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{F}(A))} is closely related to the double Poisson structure on TA \mathbbDer(A){T_{A} \mathbb{D}{\rm er}(A)} introduced by Van den Bergh. Specifically, we prove that gr D(F(A)) @ F(TA(\mathbbDer(A)),{\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{F}(A))\cong\mathcal{F}(T_{A}(\mathbb{D}{\rm er}(A)),} provided the algebra A is smooth. Our construction is based on replacing vector spaces by the new symmetric monoidal category of wheelspaces. The Fock space F(A){\mathcal{F}(A)} is a commutative algebra in this category (a “commutative wheelgebra”) which is a structure closely related to the notion of wheeled PROP. Similarly, we have Lie, Poisson, etc., wheelgebras. In this language, D(F(A)){\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{F}(A))} becomes the universal enveloping wheelgebra of a Lie wheelgebroid of double derivations. In the second part of the paper, we show, extending a classical construction of Koszul to the noncommutative setting, that any Ricci-flat, torsion-free bimodule connection on \mathbbDer(A){\mathbb{D}{\rm er}(A)} gives rise to a second-order (wheeled) differential operator, a noncommutative analogue of the Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) operator, that makes F(TA(\mathbbDer(A))){\mathcal{F}(T_{A}(\mathbb{D}{\rm er}(A)))} a BV wheelgebra. In the final section, we explain how the wheeled differential operators D(F(A)){\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{F}(A))} produce ordinary differential operators on the varieties of n-dimensional representations of A for all n ≥ 1.  相似文献

We study Lie nilpotent varieties of associative algebras. We explicitly compute the codimension growth for the variety of strong Lie nilpotent associative algebras. The codimension growth is polynomial and found in terms of Stirling numbers of the first kind. To achieve the result we take the free Lie algebra of countable rank L(X), consider its filtration by the lower central series and shift it. Next we apply generating functions of special type to the induced filtration of the universal enveloping algebra U(L(X)) = A(X).  相似文献

A Poisson algebra is a Lie algebra endowed with a commutative associative product in such a way that the Lie and associative products are compatible via a Leibniz rule. If we part from a Lie color algebra, instead of a Lie algebra, a graded-commutative associative product and a graded-version Leibniz rule we get a so-called Poisson color algebra (of degree zero). This concept can be extended to any degree, so as to obtain the class of Poisson color algebras of arbitrary degree. This class turns out to be a wide class of algebras containing the ones of Lie color algebras (and so Lie superalgebras and Lie algebras), Poisson algebras, graded Poisson algebras, z-Poisson algebras, Gerstenhaber algebras, and Schouten algebras among other classes of algebras. The present paper is devoted to the study of structure of Poisson color algebras of degree g0, where g0 is some element of the grading group G such that g0 = 0 or 4g0≠0, and with restrictions neither on the dimension nor the base field, by stating a second Wedderburn-type theorem for this class of algebras.  相似文献

Suppose a finite dimensional semisimple Lie algebra  $\mathfrak g$ acts by derivations on a finite dimensional associative or Lie algebra A over a field of characteristic 0. We prove the $\mathfrak g$ -invariant analogs of Wedderburn—Mal’cev and Levi theorems, and the analog of Amitsur’s conjecture on asymptotic behavior for codimensions of polynomial identities with derivations of A. It turns out that for associative algebras the differential PI-exponent coincides with the ordinary one. Also we prove the analog of Amitsur’s conjecture for finite dimensional associative algebras with an action of a reductive affine algebraic group by automorphisms and anti-automorphisms or graded by an arbitrary Abelian group. In addition, we provide criteria for G-, H- and graded simplicity in terms of codimensions.  相似文献

Associated to any eight-dimensional non-unital composition algebra with associative norm, there are outer automorphisms of order 3 of the corresponding spin group, such tiat the fixed subgroup is the automorphism group of the composition algebra. Over fields of characteristic ≠ 3 these are simple algebraic groups of types G 2 or A 2, related respectively to the para-octonion and the Okubo algebras

A connection between the Okubo algebras over fields of characteristic 3 with some simple noncommutative Jordan algebras will be used to compute explicitly the automorphism groups and Lie algebras of derivations of these algebras. In contrast to the other characteristics, ths groups will no longer be of type A 2 and will either be trivial or contain a large unipotent radical.  相似文献

When the base connected cochain DG algebra is cohomologically bounded, it is proved that the difference between the amplitude of a compact DG module and that of the DG algebra is just the projective dimension of that module. This yields the unboundedness of the cohomology of non-trivial regular DG algebras. When A is a regular DG algebra such that H(A) is a Koszul graded algebra, H(A) is proved to have the finite global dimension. And we give an example to illustrate that the global dimension of H(A) may be infinite, if the condition that H(A) is Koszul is weakened to the condition that A is a Koszul DG algebra. For a general regular DG algebra A, we give some equivalent conditions for the Gorensteiness. For a finite connected DG algebra A, we prove that Dc(A) and Dc(A op) admit Auslander-Reiten triangles if and only if A and A op are Gorenstein DG algebras. When A is a non-trivial regular DG algebra such that H(A) is locally finite, Dc(A) does not admit Auslander-Reiten triangles. We turn to study the existence of Auslander-Reiten triangles in Dlfb(A) and Dlfb (A op) instead, when A is a regular DG algebra. Let L be a Lie algebra, and Der z (L) denote the set of all central derivations of L, that is, the set of all derivations of L mapping L into the center. In this paper, by using the notion of isoclinism, we study the center of Der z (L) for nilpotent Lie algebras with nilindex 2. We also give a characterization of stem Lie algebras by their central derivations. In fact we show that for non-abelian nilpotent Lie algebras of finite dimension and any nilpotent Lie algebra with nilindex 2 (not finite dimensional in general), Der z (L) is abelian if and only if L is a stem Lie algebra.  相似文献

We present a method for quantizing semisimple Lie algebras. In Huru (Russ. Math. [2007]) we defined quantizations of the braided Lie algebra structure on a finite dimensional graded vector space V by quantizations of braided derivations on the exterior algebra of V * . We find quantizations of semisimple Lie algebras in this setting using the grading by their roots and shall go through all root systems, classical and exceptional.   相似文献

The well-known Cartan–Jacobson theorem claims that the Lie algebra of derivations of a Cayley algebra is central simple if the characteristic is not 2 or 3. In this paper we have studied these two cases, with the following results: if the characteristic is 2, the theorem is also true, but, if the characteristic is 3, the derivation algebra is not simple. We have also proved that in this last case, there is a unique nonzero proper seven-dimensional ideal, which is a central simple Lie algebra of type A2, and the quotient of the derivation algebra modulo this ideal turns out to be isomorphic, as a Lie algebra, to the ideal itself. The original motivation of this work was a series of computer-aided calculations which proved the simplicity of derivation algebras of Cayley algebras in the case of characteristic not 3. These computations also proved the existence of a unique nonzero proper ideal (which turns out to be seven-dimensional) in the algebra of derivations of split Cayley algebras in characteristic 3.  相似文献

We study representations of the Loop Kac-Moody Lie algebra 𝔤 ?A, where 𝔤 is any Kac-Moody algebra and A is a ring of Laurent polynomials in n commuting variables. In particular, we study representations with finite dimensional weight spaces and their graded versions. When we specialize 𝔤 to be a finite dimensional or affine Lie algebra we obtain modules for toroidal Lie algebras.  相似文献

We study the Banach-Lie group Ltaut(A) of Lie triple automorphisms of a complex associative H*-algebra A. Some consequences about its Lie algebra, the algebra of Lie triple derivations of A, Ltder(A), are obtained. For a topologically simple A, in the infinite-dimensional case we have Ltaut(A)0 = Aut(A) implying Ltder(A) = Der(A). In the finite-dimensional case Ltaut(A)0 is a direct product of Aut(A) and a certain subgroup of Lie derivations δ from A to its center, annihilating commutators.  相似文献

The Lie algebra of Cartan type H which occurs as a subalgebra of the Lie algebra of derivations of the polynomial algebra was generalized by the first author to a class which included a subalgebra of the derivations of the Laurent polynomials . We show in this paper that these generalizations of Cartan type H algebras are isomorphic to certain generalizations of the classical algebra of Poisson brackets, and that it can be generalized further. In turn, these algebras can be recast in a form that is an adaption of a class of Lie algebras of characteristic p that was defined in 1958 be R. Block. A further generalization of these algebras is the main topic of this paper. We show when these algebras are simple, find their derivations, and determine all possible isomorphisms between two of these algebras. The Golod-Shafarevich examples show that not every finitely generated nil algebraA is nilpotent. On the other hand, Kaplansky proved that every finitely generated nil PI-algebra is indeed nilpotent. We generalise Kaplansky’s result to include those algebras that are only infinitesimally PI. An associative algebraA is infinitesimally PI whenever the Lie subalgebra generated by the first homogeneous component of its graded algebra gr(A)=⊕ t⩾1 A i /A i+1 is a PI-algebra. We apply our results to a problem of Kaplansky’s concerning modular group algebras with radical augmentation ideal. The author is supported by NSERC of Canada.  相似文献

This paper aims to study low dimensional cohomology of Hom-Lie algebras and the qdeformed W(2, 2) algebra. We show that the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra is a Hom-Lie algebra. Also,we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the equivalence classes of one-dimensional central extensions of a Hom-Lie algebra and its second cohomology group, leading us to determine the second cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra. In addition, we generalize some results of derivations of finitely generated Lie algebras with values in graded modules to Hom-Lie algebras. As application, we compute all αk-derivations and in particular the first cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra.  相似文献
