The exchange bias phenomenon has been investigated in multiferroic Eu0.75Y0.25MnO3. The material shows a weak ferromagnetism with cone spin configuration induced by external magnetic field below 30 K. Consequently, the electric polarization coming from the cycloid spin order below 30 K can be suppressed by external magnetic fields. The magnetic hysteresis loops after cooling in a magnetic field exhibit characteristics of exchange bias below the spin glassy freezing temperature (Tg)∼16 K. The exchange bias field, coercivity field, and remanent magnetization increase with increasing cooling magnetic field. The exchange bias effect is ascribed to the frozen uncompensated spins at the antiferromagnetism/weak ferromagnetism interfaces in the spin-glass like phase.  相似文献

The evolutions of magnetic properties at low temperatures and the influence of magnetic field on the temperature dependence of specific heat in martensitic Ni2Mn1.4Sn0.6 Heusler alloy are studied. The frequency-dependent blocking temperature and considerable exchange bias below it are measured in the martensitic phase. From the analysis of the specific heat curves under magnetic field, a large inverse magnetocaloric effect manifested as the magnetic field induced rise of isothermal magnetic entropy and/or magnetic field induced adiabatic temperature decrease in the vicinity of the reverse magnetostructural transformation and a significant value of the conventional magnetocaloric effect at the Curie temperature are obtained. The Debye temperature and electronic coefficient equal to ΘD=310±2 K and γ= 16.6±0.3 mJ/K2mol, respectively, do not depend on the magnetic field.  相似文献

The magnetic phase diagram of Ni(NO3)26NH3 was determined from the field and temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility. The zero temperature exchange and anisotropy fields were determined to be HE(0) ≈ 26 kOe and HA(0) ≈ 0.7 kOe respectively.  相似文献

The study of magnetic and magnetotransport properties of the crystals of (La1−yEuy)0.7Pb0.3MnO3 system has been carried out. Eu ions enter the crystals being in trivalent nonmagnetic state. Europium ions possessing of smaller ionic radius in comparison with La ions, induce local distortions of Mn–O–Mn bonds in the system that cause random distribution of magnetic exchange interactions in magnitude and, probably, in sign. The competition of magnetic interactions leads to the appearance of the inhomogeneous magnetic state in the crystals. The enhancement of concentration of Eu ions results in decrease of the Curie temperature and broadening of the inhomogeneous magnetic state area. At y=0–0.4 the coexistence of the paramagnetic phase with conductivity of the polaronic type and the ferromagnetic metallic phase is observed in a bounded temperature interval both above and below TC. Below TC the increasing of y up to 0.6 induces the magnetic state representing the coexistence of two different FM phases. These phases are spatially separated due to frustration of FM and AFM exchange interactions on phase boundaries. Above TC, up to 1.6TC ferromagnetic clusters exist in a paramagnetic matrix similar to the case of samples with y=0–0.4. Concerning electric properties, the samples with y=0–0.4 reveal the metal–insulator transition at temperature that practically coincides with TC. The sample with y=0.6 has conductivity of insulator character up to the lowest temperatures. For all investigated compositions y=0–0.6 the CMR effect is observed in the area where the inhomogeneous magnetic state exists. The effect is determined by different conductivity of the coexisting phases, as well as by sensitivity of the inhomogeneous state to external magnetic field.  相似文献

The magnetic and electrical properties of nonmagnetic Ga +3 ion substitution for Mn site are investigated in the bilayer manganite La 1.2 Sr 1.8 Mn 2 O 7.When the Mn is substituted by Ga,the ferromagnetic property obviously weakens,the magnetic transition temperature decreases and a spin-glass behaviour occurs at low temperature.Meanwhile,doping causes the resistivity to dramatically increase,the metal-insulator transition temperature to disappear,and a greater magneto-resistance effect to occur at low temperature.These effects result from the fact that Ga substitution dilutes the magnetic active Mn-O-Mn network and weakens the double exchange interaction,and further suppresses ferromagnetic ordering and metallic conduction.  相似文献

利用电弧炉熔炼了Ni50Mn35In15多晶样品,根据磁性测量对其马氏体相变和磁热效应进行了系统研究.结果表明,随着温度的降低,样品在室温附近先后发生了二级磁相变与一级结构相变特征的马氏体相变,导致它的磁化强度产生突变. 同时通过低温下的磁滞回线的测量发现样品存在交换偏置行为,表明低温下马氏体相中铁磁和反铁磁共存. 此外,根据Maxwell方程,计算了样品在马氏体相变温度附近的磁熵变,当温度为309K,磁场改变5 T时,样品的磁熵变可达22.3J/kgK. 关键词: 哈斯勒合金 50Mn35In15')" href="#">Ni50Mn35In15 马氏体相变 磁热效应  相似文献

The magnetic properties (magnetic ordering temperature, magnetization) of the ferrimagnetic compounds R 2Fe17 and RFe11Ti, as well as of their hydrides and nitrides, were studied. The hydrogenation-and nitrogenation-induced variation of the exchange fields acting on the rare-earth (RE) ions from both the Fe sublattice and other RE ions was determined, and the dependence of the Curie temperatures of the starting compounds, their hydrides, and nitrides on the de Gennes factor was revealed. It was found that incorporation of light atoms (H, N) into the crystal lattices of RFe11Ti and R 2Fe17 increases the Curie temperature T C substantially, increases the Fe-Fe exchange coupling, and decreases the R-R exchange interactions, as well as increases the R-Fe intersublattice exchange under hydrogenation and decreases it under nitrogenation, an effect that can be understood as resulting from the attendant changes in the electronic structure of these compounds and in the indirect exchange interactions. __________ Translated from Fizika Tverdogo Tela, Vol. 45, No. 10, 2003, pp. 1850–1856. We performed a systematic study on the exchange bias in (1 1 0)-orientated Bi0.9La0.1FeO3/La0.5Ca0.5MnO3 (BLFO/LCMO) heterostructure with a fixed BLFO film thickness of 600 nm and different LCMO layers ranging from t=0 to 30 nm. The LCMO is found to be weakly ferromagnetic, with the Curie temperature descending from ∼225 K to 0 as the layer thickness decreases from 30 nm to 3 nm. The main magnetic contributions come from the BLFO film, and the areal magnetization ratio is 1:0.07 for t=5 nm and 1:0.82 for t=30 nm for BLFO to LCMO at the temperature of 5 K. Further experiments show the presence of significant exchange bias, and it is, at the temperature of 10 K, ∼40 Oe for t=0 and ∼260 Oe for t=30 nm. The exchange bias reduces dramatically upon warming and disappears above the blocking temperature of the spin-glasslike behavior observed in the samples. The possible origin for exchange bias is discussed.  相似文献

在10—800K的温度范围内用X射线衍射方法测量了DyMn2Ge2化合物的晶格常数与温度的变化关系,观察到高温时DyMn2Ge2由顺磁状态到反铁磁状态的自发磁相变伴随着晶格常数a的负的磁弹性异常现象.在4.2K—200K的温度范围内测量了DyMn2Ge2的交流磁化率.在交换相互作用的分子场模型近似下,从理论上分析讨论了DyMn2Ge2的低温自发磁相变和场诱导的磁相变.计算了DyMn2Ge2单晶的磁化强度与温度的变化关系以及不同温度下外磁场沿晶轴c方向时的磁化曲线.理论分析和计算结果表明,温度低于33K时在DyMn2Ge2中观察到的场诱导的一级磁相变为由亚铁磁状态(Fi)到中间态(IS)相变. 关键词: 稀土-过渡族金属间化合物 磁结构 磁相变  相似文献

在相分离La0.33Pr0.34Ca0.33MnO3薄膜体系中发现了大的交换偏置效应.在4 K时,交换偏置场的大小达到了约1 kOe.交换偏置效应可能源自薄膜内禀的电子相分离特性或薄膜的表面效应.交换偏置效应表现出强的温度、冷却磁场以及厚度依赖的关系.  相似文献

Series of polycrystalline manganese perovskite oxides La0.7−xNdxPb0.3MnO3 (x=0, 0.05, and 0.1) are prepared by the sol-gel technique, La0.65Nd0.05Pb0.3MnO3 were representatively investigated because the peculiar double resistivity peaks were found; the maximum magnetic entropy change ΔSH=−2.03 J/kg K and its good refrigerant capacity 71.05 J/kg around room temperature were obtained under 9 kOe magnetic field variation. The expected double peaks of magnetocaloric effect had not occurred since magnetic entropy change originated from the differential coefficient of magnetic moment to temperature; the relatively well refrigerant capacity possibly results from the faint magnetic inhomogeneity mixed in the double exchange strong magnetic signal.  相似文献

利用MPMS-7(magnetic property measurement system)型超导量子磁强计对垂直布里奇曼法生长的Hg0.89Mn0.11Te晶片磁化强度变化规律进行了测量.试验采用了两种不同的外场和冷却条件.首先在5 K恒温下,-5200到5200 kA/m范围内改变磁场强度进行了测定.然后维持800 kA/m恒定磁场,分别在有场冷却和无场冷却条件下,从5到300 K范围内改变温度,研究了变温条件下的磁化特性.并采用分子场近似模型,用类布里渊函数,最小二乘法对磁化强度随磁场强度变化的实验结果进行拟合和分析,结果表明,Mn2+离子之间存在反铁磁相互作用.磁化率和温度关系分析表明:在测试范围内Hg0.89Mn0.11Te是单一的顺磁相,在高温区磁化率和温度服从居里-万斯定律,呈线性关系,低于40 K时,磁化率和温度的关系偏离居里-万斯定律,表现出顺磁增强现象. 关键词: 0.89Mn0.11Te')" href="#">Hg0.89Mn0.11Te 磁化强度 磁化率 类布里渊函数  相似文献

Magnetic properties of orthorhombic incommensurate antiferromagnet β-KMnCl3 have been studied as a function of temperature down to 0,5K and in magnetic fields up to 70 k0e. The exchange parameters were estimated with molecular-field theory. Magnetic field behaviour of β-KMnCl3 is in accordance with change of magnetic structure from helical into fan structure and then into induced ferromagnetic state. The Neel temperature decreases with increase magnetic field overage 0,05K on 1 k0e.  相似文献

This article reports on the structure of the glassy system xCuO-65TeO2-(35−x)V2O5, 5≤x≤10 mol% which was studied using infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopy methods as well as magnetic susceptibility measurements. IR and Raman spectroscopy analysis reveals the presence of four main absorption bands attributed to [TeO3], [TeO4], [VO4], and [VO5] structure units. It suggests that Cu2+ ions occupy the available open spaces of the Te-O network without straining the bonds too much. Increasing the concentration of Cu2+ ions beyond 5 mol% results in the modification of the glass by straining and locally distorting the surrounding of the Te-O network. The magnetic susceptibility of these materials was investigated in the temperature range of 5-200 K revealing the paramagnetic behavior described by the Curie-Weiss law and indicating the presence of weak antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between Cu ions. The magnetic entropy change of the glasses was determined based on the temperature and magnetic field dependence of magnetization.  相似文献

Results of the accurate magnetization measurements performed on the amorphous Fe10Ni70P14B6 alloy in the temperature range 20–77 K in fields upto 1 kOe are reported. The complex magnetic behaviour exhibited by this alloy has been analyzed to show that a ferromagnetic ordering, occuring on a localized microscopic scale at a temperature T0 very close to that given by the earlier Hall effect measurements, is accompanied by a superparamagnetic behaviour which below T0 causes at first a spin-glass freezing of the magnetic spins when they interact with one another on a long range scale and then a mictomagnetic freezing of the giant superparamagnetic clusters at a lower temperature as a result of exchange interaction between their moments and the frozen spin-glass matrix. In addition, the present results, besides providing a clear physical insight into the widely different ordering temperatures obtained for this alloy from previous Mössbauer and resistivity measurements, on one hand and from our magnetization measurements on the other, strongly suggest a magnetic origin for the observed resistivity-minimum phenomenon. In conclusion, the present alloy represents a composition in the amorphous (FexNi1?x)80P14B6 system well below the percolation limit.  相似文献

Magnetic properties and magnetic entropy change ΔS were investigated in Heusler alloy Ni43Mn43Co3Sn11. With decreasing temperature this alloy undergoes a martensitic structural transition at TM=188 K. The incorporation of Co atoms enhances ferromagnetic exchange for parent phases. Austenitic phase with cubic structure shows strong ferromagnetic behaviors with Curie temperature TCA at 346 K, while martensitic phase shows weak ferromagnetic properties. An external magnetic field can shift TM to a lower temperature at a rate of 4.4 K/T, and a field-induced structural transition from martensitic to austenitic state takes place at temperatures near but below TM. As a result, a great magnetic entropy change with positive sign appears. The size of ΔS reaches 33 J/kg K under 5 T magnetic field. More important is that the ΔS displays a table-like peak under 5 T, which is favorable for Ericsson-type refrigerators.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of lattice constants a and c of intermetallic compounds RMn2Ge2 (R=Sm, Gd) is measured in the temperature range 10-800K by using the x-ray diffraction method. The magnetoelastic anomalies of lattice constants are found at the different kinds of spontaneous magnetic transitions. The transversal and longitudinal magnetostrictions of polycrystalline samples are measured in the pulse magnetic field up to 25T. In the external magnetic field there occurs a first-order field-induced antiferromagnetism-ferromagnetism transition in the Mn sublattice, which gives rise to a large magnetostriction. The magnitude of magnetostrictions is as large as 10-3. The transversal and longitudinal magnetostrictions have the same sign and are almost equal. This indicates that the magnetostriction is isotropic and mainly caused by the interlayer Mn-Mn exchange interaction. The experimental results are explained in the framework of a two-sublattice ferrimagnet with the negative exchange interaction in one of the sublattices by taking into account the lattice constant dependence of interlayer Mn-Mn exchange interaction.  相似文献
