The Galilei-covariant fermionic field theories are quantized by using the path-integral method and five-dimensional Lorentz-like covariant expressions of non-relativistic field equations. First, we review the five-dimensional approach to the Galilean Dirac equation, which leads to the Lévy-Leblond equations, and define the Galilean generating functional and Green’s functions for positive- and negative-energy/mass solutions. Then, as an example of interactions, we consider the quartic self-interacting potential , and we derive expressions for the 2- and 4-point Green’s functions. Our results are compatible with those found in the literature on non-relativistic many-body systems. The extended manifold allows for compact expressions of the contributions in (3 + 1) space-time. This is particularly apparent when we represent the results with diagrams in the extended (4 + 1) manifold, since they usually encompass more diagrams in Galilean (3 + 1) space-time.  相似文献

In this Letter we study a class of symmetries of the new translational extended shape invariant potentials. It is proved that a generalization of a compatibility condition introduced in a previous article is equivalent to the usual shape invariance condition. We focus on the recent examples of Odake and Sasaki (infinitely many polynomial, continuous l and multi-index rational extensions). As a byproduct, we obtain new relations, to the best of our knowledge, for Laguerre, Jacobi polynomials and (confluent) hypergeometric functions.  相似文献

The procedure proposed recently by Bougie et al. (2010) to study the general form of shape invariant potentials in one-dimensional Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics (SUSY QM) is generalized to the case of Higher Order SUSY QM with supercharges of second order in momentum. A new shape invariant potential is constructed by this method. It is singular at the origin, it grows at infinity, and its spectrum depends on the choice of connection conditions in the singular point. The corresponding Schrödinger equation is solved explicitly: the wave functions are constructed analytically, and the energy spectrum is defined implicitly via the transcendental equation which involves Confluent Hypergeometric functions.  相似文献

Several formulas for crossing functions arising in the continuum limit of critical two-dimensional percolation models are studied. These include Watts's formula for the horizontal-vertical crossing probability and Cardy's new formula for the expected number of crossing clusters. It is shown that for lattices where conformal invariance holds, they simplify when the spatial domain is taken to be the interior of an equilateral triangle. The two crossing functions can be expressed in terms of an equianharmonic elliptic function with a triangular rotational symmetry. This suggests that rigorous proofs of Watts's formula and Cardy's new formula will be easiest to construct if the underlying lattice is triangular. The simplification in a triangular domain of Schramm's bulk Cardy's formula is also studied.  相似文献

Shape invariance is a powerful solvability condition, that allows for complete knowledge of the energy spectrum, and eigenfunctions of a system. After a short introduction into the deformation quantization formalism, this paper explores the implications of the supersymmetric quantum mechanics and shape invariance techniques to the phase space formalism. We show that shape invariance induces a new set of relations between the Wigner functions of the system, that allows for their direct calculation, once we know one of them. The simple harmonic oscillator and the Morse potential are solved as examples.  相似文献

The theory of elasticity (a.k.a. Riva–Cardy model) has been regarded as an example of scale invariant but not conformal field theories. We argue that in d=2d=2 dimensions, the theory has hidden global conformal symmetry of SL(2,R)×SL(2,R)SL(2,R)×SL(2,R) without its Virasoro extension. More precisely, we can embed all the correlation functions of the displacement vector into a global conformal field theory with four-derivative action in terms of two scalar potential variables, which necessarily violates the reflection positivity. The energy–momentum tensor for the potential variables cannot be improved to become traceless so that it does not show the Virasoro symmetry even with the existence of global special conformal current.  相似文献

Partition functions of critical 2D models on a torus can be derived from their microscopic formulation and their free field representation in the continuum limit. This is worked out explicitly for theO(n) andQ-state Potts model. Forn orQ integer we recover results obtained from conformal invariance, but our procedure also extends to nonintegral values. In the latter case the expansion on characters of the Virasoro algebra involves real coefficients of either sign. The operator content of both models is discussed in detail.  相似文献

We consider continuous systems of particles in the framework of classical statistical mechanics and derive a general expression for the static elastic moduli tensor in terms of correlation functions. We find sufficient conditions for the vanishing of the shear modulus. Relationships between these conditions and others insuring translational or rotational invariance are discussed.  相似文献

We introduce a method to prove poor decay of certain cross-correlation functions which are closely related to the phase transition. The methods apply both to equal and nonequal times, which gives access to the dynamical regime. We establish a criterion which displays openly what happens when the Goldstone picture breaks down. Since no rudiments of translation invariance are needed the treatment covers phases in coexistence like, e.g., liquid-gas interfaces and completely inhomogeneous systems. Furthermore a perhaps surprising connection with the breaking of time reflection invariance of the equilibrium state is established.  相似文献

A novel method to make Lagrangians Galilean invariant is developed. The method, based on null Lagrangians and their gauge functions, is used to demonstrate the Galilean invariance of the Lagrangian for Newton's law of inertia. We discuss the role of self-similarity in the evolution of cosmological models. The simplest model, the flat Friedmann–Lematre universe is exactly self-similar. On the other hand, the open Friedmann–Lematre universe and the anisotropic Bianchi I universes, are not exactly self-similar, but are asymptotically self-similar, both near the initial singularity and at late times. In general, however, cosmological models are not asymptotically self-similar, and our goal is to describe the different mechanisms that lead to asymptotic self-similarity breaking in Bianchi universes. The discussion will also serve to give an overview of our current understanding of the dynamics of Bianchi universes.  相似文献

We explore models with emergent gravity and metric by means of numerical simulations. A particular type of two-dimensional non-linear sigma-model is regularized and discretized on a quadratic lattice. It is characterized by lattice diffeomorphism invariance which ensures in the continuum limit the symmetry of general coordinate transformations. We observe a collective order parameter with properties of a metric, showing Minkowski or Euclidean signature. The correlation functions of the metric reveal an interesting long-distance behavior with power-like decay. This universal critical behavior occurs without tuning of parameters and thus constitutes an example of “self-tuned criticality” for this type of sigma-models. We also find a non-vanishing expectation value of a “zweibein” related to the “internal” degrees of freedom of the scalar field, again with long-range correlations. The metric is well described as a composite of the zweibein. A scalar condensate breaks Euclidean rotation symmetry.  相似文献

A simple two ordinary lens system is proposed to realize the fractional Fourier transform (FRT) of continuously variable order while keeping the scaling factors of both the input and output functions as the same constant independent of the geometric parameters of the system and the FRT orders. We study the finite-size scaling behavior of two-point correlation functions of translationally invariant many-body systems at criticality. We propose an efficient method for calculating the two-point correlation functions in the thermodynamic limit from numerical data of finite systems. Our method is most effective when applied to a two-dimensional (classical) system which possesses a conformal invariance. By using this method with numerical data obtained from exact diagonalizations and Monte Carlo simulations, we study the spin-spin correlations of the quantum spin-1/2 and-3/2 antifierromagnetic chains. In particular, the logarithmic corrections to power-law decay of the correlation of the spin-1/2 isotropic Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain are studied thoroughly. We clarify the cause of the discrepancy in previous calculations for the logarithmic corrections. Our result strongly supports the field-theoretic prediction based on the mappings to the Wess-Zumino-Witten nonlinear -model or the sine-Gordon model. We also treat logarithmic corrections and crossover phenomena in the spin-spin correlation of the spin-3/2 isotropic Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain. Our results are consistent with the Affleck-Haldane prediction that the correlation of the spin-3/2 chain exhibits a crossover to the same asymptotic behavior as in the spin-1/2 chain.  相似文献

One of the salient features of human perception is its invariance under dilatation in addition to the Euclidean group, but its non-invariance under special conformal transformation. We investigate a holographic approach to the information processing in image discrimination with this feature. We claim that a strongly coupled analogue of the statistical model proposed by Bialek and Zee can be holographically realized in scale invariant but non-conformal Euclidean geometries. We identify the Bayesian probability distribution of our generalized Bialek–Zee model with the GKPW partition function of the dual gravitational system. We provide a concrete example of the geometric configuration based on a vector condensation model coupled with the Euclidean Einstein–Hilbert action. From the proposed geometry, we study sample correlation functions to compute the Bayesian probability distribution.  相似文献

多体系统的非平衡动力学演化是当前物理学中最具挑战性的问题之一.超冷量子费米原子气体具有较强的可控性,是研究多体非平衡动力学的理想系统,可以用来模拟和理解大爆炸后的早期宇宙、重离子碰撞中产生的夸克-胶子以及核物理等动力学.一般多体系统演化是非常复杂的,往往需要利用对称性来研究.利用Feshbach共振可以制备标度不变的费米原子气体:无相互作用和幺正费米量子气体.当远离平衡态时,可利用普适的指数和函数来刻画,其动力学可以通过对系统的时空演化进行标度变换来识别.本文主要介绍近年来强相互作用超冷费米气体的膨胀动力学研究进展,包括原子气体的各向异性展开、标度动力学和Efimovian膨胀动力学.  相似文献
