根据自由空间光束传输遵循的(3+1)维薛定谔方程,得到了两束时空自减速艾里复变量拉盖尔高斯(Airy elegent-Laguerre-Gaussian,AELG)光束共线传输时的解析解,并分析其共线传输时的传输特性.分析结果表明,双光束各自的模式指数、组合光束强度的权重因子、初始相位差对光束的传输都会有影响.本文发现,通过选择模式参数或者选择它们的相对振幅,对于共线传输的两束时空自减速AELG光束,可以有效控制叠加光束的波形形态以及横向传输截面的光斑分布.特别是当两束光束的模式参数不等于零时,波包将沿着传输轴发生螺旋形旋转,其相位图中心位置都会出现涡旋现象.若该参数值为正,则光束沿传输轴逆时针旋转,否则,光束将沿传输轴呈螺旋形顺时针方向旋转.通过调整叠加光束的初始相位差,波包沿传输轴线也将发生旋转,但这两种旋转特性的旋转机理完全不同.如果选取两束时空自减速AELG光束的角向模式参数m相同,则叠加光束在传输过程中呈现空心环形状态,出现空心环形时空自减速AELG波包,且该波包在传输截面上随着传输距离的增加,多环结构最终湮灭为单环,并向远方推移,使得空心部分越来越大.  相似文献

The interaction between linearly polarized elliptical hollow beam and a two-level atom is investigated theoretically. Although the linearly polarized elliptical hollow beam does not carry angular momentum, it can produce very high torque. The atoms initially at rest and located at off-beam-axis positions will rotate under the drive of the torque of the beam. The shorter the distance from the original location of atom to the axis is, the larger the average angular frequency of atom rotation is. The average angular frequency can reach as high as 1000 Hz. This convinces us that the elliptical hollow beam might be a useful tool in the study of quantum property of Bose–Einstein condensate or ultra cold atom media.  相似文献

The aim of the paper is to describe the physical phenomenon of the excitation of modal waves, such as Lamb waves, in anisotropic multilayered media by a monochromatic incident beam and then by a time depending signal. A modal beam is generated in the structure and, due to the anisotropy of the media constituting the structure, is deviated with respect to the sagittal plane of the incident bounded beam. Using a stationary phase approach, it is possible to determine the deviation direction of the modal beam in the far field at a given frequency. This direction is normal to the modal curve, at the point corresponding to the main modal wave vector. Using Lagrange multipliers, it is possible to obtain the equation of an oblique plane in which the modal beam reradiates in the external fluid. As the modal waves are dispersive, the group velocity and the direction of propagation of the principal modal wave vary with the frequency. So, in the far field, for a time depending signal, the different monochromatic components of the main modal wave are found in different directions. In general, the main crest line of this modal wave packet is not a straight line.  相似文献

A new method is introduced to generate a elliptical hollow beam inside a cavity. Using a matrix eigenvalue method, the laser resonator with optical diffraction elements is theoretically analyzed and simulated. A elliptical hollow beam of good quality is realized experimentally. The interaction between linearly polarized elliptical hollow beam and a two-level atom is investigated theoretically. Although the linearly polarized elliptical hollow beam does not carry angular momentum, it can produce very high torque. The atoms initially at rest and located at off-beam- axis positions will rotate under the drive of the torque of the beam. The atomic motion trajectory in the field of elliptical hollow beam has been demonstrated. The study shows that the elliptical hollow beam might be a useful tool in the study of vortex property of Bose-Einstein condensate or ultra cold atom media.  相似文献

利用激光脉冲在光纤中传播时所遵守的相干非线性薛定谔耦合方程,研究了保偏光纤中两相近频率的线偏振光,其偏振方向相互正交且平行于光纤的双折射轴,且偏振方向沿两个双折射轴的分量强度相等时,在同为反常色散区和正常色散区所产生的调制不稳定性.结果表明在反常色散区和正常色散区都能产生调制不稳定性;在正常色散区存在不同的调制不稳定性功率区域,对应不同的功率区域,导致增益谱表现出明显的不同,并且当输入功率一定时,波长差(或频率差)的变化导致增益谱的变化. 关键词: 相近频率传输区域 双折射 保偏光纤 调制不稳定性  相似文献

In the framework of nonlinear wave optics,we report the evolution process of a dipole breathing wave in lossy nonlocal nonlinear media based on the nonlocal nonlinear Schr?dinger equation.The analytical expression of the dipole breathing wave in such a nonlinear system is obtained by using the variational method.Taking advantage of the analytical expression,we analyze the influences of various physical parameters on the breathing wave propagation,including the propagation loss and the input power on the beam width,the beam intensity,and the wavefront curvature.Also,the corresponding analytical solutions are obtained.The validity of the analysis results is verified by numerical simulation.This study provides some new insights for investigating beam propagation in lossy nonlinear media.  相似文献

Starting from the vectorial Rayleigh diffraction integral formula and without using the far-field approximation, a solution of the wave equation beyond the paraxial approximation is found, which represents vectorial non-paraxial elliptical Gaussian beams in free space. The far-field expressions for non-paraxial Gaussian beams and elliptical Gaussian beams can be regarded as special cases treated in this paper. Some basic propagation properties of vectorial non-paraxial elliptical Gaussian beams, including the irradiance distribution, phase term, beam widths and divergence angles are studied. From the study of the dynamics for the ring-like soliton clusters, we find that there exists a critical value of the ring radius, dcr, for the stationary rotation of the clusters with respect to the beam centre even in the presence of the relatively strong noise, and that the soliton clusters will not rotate but only undergo periodic collisions in the form of simple harmonic oscillator if the ring radius is large enough. We also show that the direction of the rotation can be opposite to the direction of phase gradient when the relative phase difference is within the domain 0 〈 |θ| 〈 π, while along the direction of phase gradient when the relative phase difference is within the domain π 〈|θ| 〈 2π  相似文献

通过求解时谐条件下的亥姆霍兹方程,得到一个特解双偏心椭圆高斯光束,该光束由两个偏心椭圆高斯光束叠加而形成的,可用于描述大功率激光二极管远场分布双峰特性.分析了该光束的光场模型,运用惠更斯-菲涅尔广义积分公式,得到了该光束在一阶ABCD光学系统中的传输场分布和解析表达式,在此理论基础上,数值计算得到光场分布和远场发散角,并运用该光束模型模拟了新型激光二极管光场分布,理论结果与实际结果吻合.  相似文献

由光束在克尔型吸收介质中传输的非线性薛定谔方程出发,推导了高斯光束注入介质后满足的耦合方程。在不考虑高阶展开项的前提下,将介质分为无吸收、有吸收两种情况,对脉冲的腰斑半径的演化进行了解析分析,得到注入克尔型非线性介质中的高斯光束,形成“孤波”必须满足光束在束腰处注入,介质没有吸收的条件;当考虑高阶展开项时,通过数值分析发现,无论介质是否存在吸收,光束传输不存在“孤波”形式,而是在注入强度的控制之下。当注入强度较小时,自聚焦过程是它的一个主要结果。但当注入脉冲的强度增加后,除了腰斑半径不为零的区间增加,光束仍保持聚焦的正常现象之外,存在一个阈值。当注入强度超过此阈值时,腰斑半径随着距离的增加而快速增加,聚焦趋势根本就不存在。  相似文献

We apply an operator method, based on the scalar wave equation, to study the propagation of a Gaussian light beam in an optical fibre with an arbitrary, elliptically symmetric refractive-index profile. We discover that ray optical results, while not capable of predicting the rapid distortion of an optical beam in a non-ideal refractive-index profile, successfully simulate the general form of the optical power distributions, even in non-ideal profiles. We find that the propagation patterns for elliptical fibres with and without a strongly scattering central index dip show several unexpected similarities.  相似文献

We investigate the existence and stability of dipole-mode solitons in two-dimensional models of nonlocal media with anisotropic Kerr nonlinearity analytically and numerically. We obtain the approximate solution of such elliptic dipole solitons by using the variational approximation. The dynamics of such dipole-mode solitons is governed by the eccentricity of both the input beam and the nonlocal response function. We also compute the stability of the solitons by direct numerical simulations. The effects of the anisotropy of the nonlocal response function on the propagation of the dipole beam are also discussed in detail.  相似文献

It is widely accepted that an off-axis noncanonical vortex moves across the free-space diffracting Gaussian beam without rotation. But our analysis shows that the vortex swirls a while before it approaches infinite. By neglecting the divergence of the host beam, we focus on this rotation characteristics of the vortices in linear homogeneous media. For the symmetrical host beam, it is found that the vortex moves along an elliptical trajectory, while the topological charge and the angular momentum of the vortex core relative to the beam axis are conserved. For the asymmetrical host beam, the vortex trajectory is rather complicated, since the noncanonical parameter varies as the light propagates, resulting in topological charge inversion. But we find that the vortices are always confined in a rectangular area, and the rotation direction is determined by the topological charge.  相似文献

We propose a handy scheme to generate a vectorial elliptic hollow beam by using a short dual-mode elliptic hollow fiber, study its propagation characteristics in free space, and calculate its total angular momentum at different propagating distances. Our study shows that the resulting elliptic hollow beam has a self-focusing effect in near field, an arbitrary polarization, and a position-dependent fractional angular momentum and that the directions of the major and minor axes of the elliptical intensity profile will be interchanged after the self-focusing plane.  相似文献

The propagation of electromagnetic waves in an unmagnetized weakly inhomogeneous cold plasma is examined. We show that the inhomogeneity induces a gauge connection term in wave equation, which gives rise to Berry effects in the dynamics of polarized rays in the post geometric optics approximation. The polarization plane of a plane polarized ray rotates as a result of the geometric Berry phase, which is the Rytov rotation. Also, the Berry curvature causes the optical Hall effect, according to which, rays of left/right circular polarization deflect oppositely to produce a spin current directed across the direction of propagation.  相似文献
