A frequency-stabilized helium-neon laser with Zeeman frequency splitting in the magnetic field was studied. A series of pulses with repetition frequency equal to the frequency difference caused by the splitting of the gain profile by the magnetic field was used as a reference signal for a laser interferometer. The modulation of discharge current by electric noise or natural oscillations of the discharge current were found to lengthen the edges of these pulses, which decreases the accuracy of measurements with a laser interferometer.  相似文献

Based on the passive spectroscopy,the D_α atomic emission spectra in the boundary region of the plasma have been measured by a high resolution optical spectroscopic multichannel analysis(OSMA) system in EAST tokamak.The Zeeman splitting of the D_α spectral lines has been observed.A fitting procedure by using a nonlinear least squares method was applied to fit and analyze all polarization π and ±σ components of the D_α atomic spectra to acquire the information of the local plasma.The spectral line shape was investigated according to emission spectra from different regions(e.g.,low-field side and high-field side) along the viewing chords.Each polarization component was fitted and classified into three energy categories(the cold,warm,and hot components) based on different atomic production processes,in consistent with the transition energy distribution by calculating the gradient of the D_α spectral profile.The emission position,magnetic field intensity,and flow velocity of a deuterium atom were also discussed in the context.  相似文献

We have studied the phenomenon of electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT) of ~(87)Rb vapor with a buffer gas in a magnetic field at room temperature. It is found that the spectral lines caused by the velocity selective optical pump effects get much weaker and wider when the sample cell is mixed with a 5-Torr N_2 gas while the EIT signal is kept almost unchanged. A weighted least-square fit is also developed to remove the Doppler broadening completely. This spectral method provides a way to measure the Zeeman splitting with high resolution, for example, the Λ-type EIT resonance splits into four peaks on the D_2 line of ~(87)Rb in the thermal 2-cm vapor cell with a magnetic field along the electric field of the linearly polarized coupling laser. The high-resolution spectrum can be used to lock the laser to a given frequency by tuning the magnetic field.  相似文献

Measurements of magnetic fields based on observations of the Zeeman splitting ωB of spectral lines is a virtually impossible task in dense plasmas of powerful Z-pinches where the Stark splitting in the ion microfields ωF is much greater than ωB. In this situation, much better diagnostics of magnetic fields can be achieved through polarization difference contours obtained by subtracting profiles of the same spectral line observed in two orthogonal linear polarizations. In this way the obscuring role of the Stark effect is significantly diminished. In the present paper it is shown that the most sensitive and accurate measurements of the magnitude and the direction of the magnetic field in a dense plasma can be conducted employing central Stark components of hydrogen or hydrogen-like spectral lines. The polarization contour of a central Stark component turned out to be much more sensitive to the magnetic field than the polarization contour of a lateral component of the same line, namely by a factor of (ωFB) 3≫1. This constitutes a drastic enhancement of the previously suggested method that had used the polarization contour of a lateral Stark component because in dense plasmas a typical value of the above factor is (ωFB)3⩾103 . A linear analysis of the electron-beam deflection system in a magnicon amplifier is presented. The system consists of identical cavities, one driven and the remainder passive, separated by a drift space and immersed in an axial magnetic field. The cavities contain a rotating TM110 mode. The length of each cavity is πν z/ω, and that of the drift space is πνzc, where ω is the RF frequency, ωc is the relativistic gyrofrequency in the guide field, and νz is the mean axial velocity of the beam electrons. The linearized electron orbits are obtained for arbitrary initial axial velocity, radial coordinate, and magnetic field. The small-signal gain and the phase shift are determined. The special case where ωc/ω=2 has unique features and is discussed in detail. For the NRL magnicon design, a power gain of 10 dB per passive cavity is feasible. Results from numerical modeling of a magnicon with two passive cavities are presented. Operation of the output cavity at the fundamental and higher harmonics of the input drive frequency is briefly discussed  相似文献

87Sr原子存在核自旋,在磁场作用下原子能级会分裂成不同塞曼子能级.通过光抽运对原子进行自旋极化,其自旋极化谱线的探测为锶光钟系统的闭环锁定提供精确的频率参考.本文对~(87)Sr原子钟跃迁能级5s~2~1S_0→5s5p~3P_0中的m_F=+9/2和m_F=-9/2的塞曼磁子能级自旋极化谱线进行了探测.经过一级宽带冷却和二级窄线宽冷却与俘获后,锶冷原子温度为3.9μK,原子数目为3.5×10~6.利用邻近"魔术波长"的813.426 nm半导体激光光源实现水平方向的一维光晶格装载.采用归一化探测方法用线宽为Hz量级的698 nm钟激光对~1S_0→~3P_0偶极禁戒跃迁进行探测,在150 ms的探测时间下获得线宽为6.7 Hz的钟跃迁简并谱.在磁光阱竖直方向施加一个300 mGs的偏置磁场获得塞曼分裂谱,并通过689 nm的圆偏振自旋极化光进行光抽运,最终在探测时间为150 ms时,获得左右旋极化谱线线宽分别为6.2 Hz和6.8 Hz.  相似文献

The magnetic field effect of a8S7/2-z6P7/2 lines of 151Eu and 153Eu in magnetic fields up to 66.7 mT has been studied by using laser atomic beam spectroscopy. The Zeeman level structures of the europium a8S7/2 and z6P7/2 states in magnetic fields were discussed. The location and intensity of the measured Zeeman transition lines were found in good agreement with the theoretical results.  相似文献

We report the theoretical results on use of neon as a tracer element to measure the multi-megagauss magnetic field, which is induced in the ultrahigh intense laser-matter interactions. The shape of Zeeman splitting of spectral line for transition of He-like neon are calculated for high-intensity laser produced quasi one-components plasma with the consideration of the electron collision broadening, electron collision shift and magnetic field splitting. The results show that all of the Zeeman splitting spectrum can be identified under Rayleigh criterion for the plasma with the electron temperature from 10 to , the magnetic field from 106 to and the electron density . With both the electron temperature and magnetic field increasing, the requirement for the resolution power of the spectrometer decreases. If a spectrometer with the resolution power of 1/1000 is used, the measurement of the quasistatic magnetic field by Zeeman splitting of spectral lines is applicable when quasistatic magnetic field is larger than some tens of megaGauss.  相似文献

为了评估利用发散磁场构型双电层效应的紧凑式螺旋波等离子体推力器的离子加速效果,探索了一种双向偏振态激光诱导荧光测量方法来对螺旋波等离子体源近出口端的离子速度分布函数进行测量。实验中采用Ar作为螺旋波等离子体源工质,中心波长为611.662 nm的激光以轴向方式注入等离子体,以激励一价Ar离子获得波长为461.086 nm的诱导荧光光谱。为了消除磁化等离子体中逆塞曼效应对激光诱导荧光光谱带来的分裂影响,通过四分之一波片将入射激光分别调制为左旋和右旋圆偏振态,并对其诱导光谱进行了分别测量,结果发现不同磁场强度下两次测量结果的偏移值与理论高度吻合,证明了双向偏振态激光诱导荧光测量方法的理论可行性。进一步,采用高斯型滤波器反卷积算法从测量光谱中去除自然展宽和能量饱和效应,再通过对两次相反偏振态测量结果进行平移处理消除逆塞曼效应,从而分离得到实际的多普勒效应。测量了射频能量600 W,不同轴向位置、磁场大小以及气体压力下的螺旋波Ar等离子体激光诱导荧光光谱,结果表明在该实验条件下离子并没有因双电层效应而达到期望值的加速效果,离子速度的形成可能只是一种磁约束作用下的双极电场所导致,并不能产生好的推力性能。  相似文献

Shallow acceptor levels in Si/Ge/Si quantum well heterostructures are characterized by resonant-tunneling spectroscopy in the presence of high magnetic fields. In a perpendicular magnetic field we observe a linear Zeeman splitting of the acceptor levels. In an in-plane field, on the other hand, the Zeeman splitting is strongly suppressed. This anisotropic Zeeman splitting is shown to be a consequence of the huge light-hole--heavy-hole splitting caused by a large biaxial strain and a strong quantum confinement in the Ge quantum well.  相似文献

激光谐振腔内相位各向异性会引起频率分裂,两分裂模的频差大小由表现出的相位延迟所决定.对于腔内相位延迟较小的He-Ne激光器,两分裂模很接近,处于烧孔重叠区,存在模式竞争而不能同时振荡,形成隐频率分裂.同时,使得激光器两正交偏振方向上的相邻级纵模产生固定的变动量,其大小等于隐频率分裂量的2倍.如果沿激光偏振方向施加横向磁场,Ne原子谱线发生横向Zeeman分裂,增益原子分成两群,分别为平行于磁场和垂直于磁场方向偏振的光提供增益,大大减弱模竞争,使得激光器的两分裂模可同时振荡并测得频差.在谐振腔内放入倾斜的石英晶体片或半波片,由两种方法分别测量频率分裂量并进行比较.实验表明两种方法测量的结果均与理论计算相符,平均相对偏差不超过1%.据此可以准确得到Zeeman双频激光器的频差大小,并为半波片测量提供了新方法.  相似文献

The basic characteristics of the nonself-sustained arc discharge in a vapor of the anode material are studied. The influence of thermoemission parameters of the cathode on volt-ampere characteristics of the discharge is described. It is established that in a free mode of the discharge cathode operation, when the discharge current ID is lower than the current of the thermoelectron emission from the discharge cathode IC, the deposition rate of the films q is directly proportional to the discharge current ID. In the compelled mode of the cathode operation, when ID>I C, q~WD2, where WD=ID UD with UD being the discharge voltage. It is shown that the magnetic field increases the plasma density and changes the density profile from n(x)-1/x2 to n(x)-1/x with x being a distance along the flow. The motion of created plasma flow is shown to have a noncollisional character with constant electron temperature of 5-7 eV along the flow. The values of plasma potential and electric field in the flow are determined; the values of cathodic and anodic potential drops in the discharge are evaluated. The angular distributions of ion and neutral fluxes in the created plasma flow are described. It is shown that the plasma flows parameters depend substantially on the working material. With use of crossed electric and magnetic fields, the flow ionization coefficient was enhanced up to 85% for the discharge in Ti vapors, and 35% for the discharge in Cu vapors  相似文献

The physical reasons for observing the splitting of optical lines several orders of magnitude smaller than the spectral width of a laser pulse are investigated. A theory of coherent and incoherent photon echo (PE) in an external static magnetic field and in the presence of a pulsed magnetic field, which causes oscillations of the PE intensity, is elaborated. It is shown that the periods of oscillations in the echo intensity, the echo duration, and the dimensions of the regions in the inhomogeneous line, where the excited ions are coherent, do not depend on the degree of coherence of the laser pulse and on the external static magnetic field. As follows from the theory, in the case of the coherent excitation of the echo, the amplitude of the intensity oscillations is independent of the external static magnetic field if the inhomogeneous line is symmetric. It is shown that the amplitude of the oscillations at the incoherent excitation of the echo is equal to the autocorrelation function of the distribution function of the transition frequency along the inhomogeneous line with the argument equal to the Zeeman splitting of the optical line in the external magnetic field. In this case, the experimental values of the oscillation amplitude are in good agreement with the calculated values of the autocorrelation function for the total inhomogeneous line in LuLiF4:Er3+ (4I15/2?F9/2 transition). In the same way, the autocorrelation function has been obtained for YLiF4:Er3+ on the same transition.  相似文献

In the RECE-Christa device, hybrid-type compact toroid rings are generated by inducing large toroidal plasma currents Ip in strong electron rings using a thin induction coil positioned along the ring axis. Starting from field-reversal values δp =50-120% of the original pure fast-electron ring, the induced plasma current Ip raises δ to a maximum value of up to 240% with Ip contributing more than 50% of the total ring current. The generated hybrid compact toroid configurations appear gross-stable during the full Ip pulse length (half-amplitude width about 100 μs)  相似文献

We have theoretically and experimentally studied the quantum coherence effects of a degenerate transition Fg =3←→Fe=2 system interacting with a weak linearly polarized (with σ+ components) probe light and a strong linearly polarized (with σ+ components) coupling field. Due to the competition between the drive Rabi frequency and the Zeeman splitting, electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) and electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA) are present at the different values of applied magnetic field in the case where the Zeeman splitting of excited state Δe is larger than the Zeeman splitting of ground state Δg (i.e.Δe 〉 Δg).  相似文献

在室温铯原子蒸气池中, 由铯原子基态、激发态和里德堡态构建了阶梯型三能级系统, 研究了里德堡原子阶梯型三能级系统的电磁感应透明(EIT). 在实现电磁感应透明的基础上, 利用16.9 GHz的射频电场耦合相邻的原子里德堡态, 实现49S1/2→47D3/2的双光子跃迁, 测量了里德堡原子的射频双光子光谱, 观察到了电磁感应透明光谱的分裂, 进一步研究了电场强度对射频双光子光谱的影响. 利用里德堡原子的EIT效应可实现对射频电场幅值和极化的精密测量, 具有潜在的应用前景.  相似文献

通过分析不同温度下HgMnTe磁性二维电子气Shubnikov-de Hass(SdH)振荡的拍频现象,研究了量子阱中电子自旋 轨道相互作用和spd交换相互作用.结果表明:(1)在零磁场下,电子的自旋 轨道相互作用导致电子发生零场自旋分裂;(2)在弱磁场下,电子的自旋-轨道相互作用占主导地位,并受Landau分裂和Zeeman分裂的影响,电子的自旋分裂随磁场增加而减小;(3)在高磁场下,电子的spd交换相互作用达到饱和,电子的自旋分裂主要表现为Zeeman分裂.实验证明了当电子的Zeeman分裂能量与零场 关键词: 磁性二维电子气 Zeeman分裂 Rashba自旋分裂  相似文献

In continuation of our earlier investigation (referred to hereafter as part I) where we considered the mathematically simple case of magnetic field orientation along the Z-axis of the principal axes frame (PAF) of the electric quadrupole field, we take up here the general problem of arbitrary orientation of the magnetic field with respect to the PAF, and investigate the nature of polarized line spectra of an atom making a transition from an upper level with spin Ju to a lower level with spin Jl. Explicit formulae for the emitted Stokes parameters are obtained and we discuss their physical significance by computing numerically the cases of transitions Ju=1→Jl=0 and . Specific features or signatures of the polarized line spectra are discussed as functions of the relevant physical parameters. The Stokes parameters are also analyzed in terms of the Zeeman term contributions and the cross-term contributions (which arise due to quantum interference).  相似文献

We study the Zeeman effect on the d-wave superconductor and tunneling spectrum in normal-metal(N)/d-wave superconductor(S) junction by applying a Zeeman magnetic field to the S. It is shown that: (1) the Zeeman magnetic field can lead to the S gap decreasing, and with the increase in Zeeman energy, the superconducting state is changed to the normal state, exhibiting a first-order phase transition; (2) the Zeeman energy difference between the two splitting peaks in the conductance spectrum is equal to2h0 (h0 is the Zeeman energy); (3) both the barrier strength of interface scattering and the temperature can lower the magnitudes of splitting peaks, of which the barrier strength can lead to the splitting peaks becoming sharp and the temperature can smear out the peaks,however, neither of them can influence the Zeeman effect.  相似文献
