We report on crystal processing, laser fabrication, emission spectra and output characteristics of neodymium pentaphosphate lasers. We obtained cw oscillation with an output power of 19 mW from a crystal with dielectric mirrors directly applied on polished (001) planes. We pumped longitudinally with 280 mW of an argon ion laser at 514 nm focussed to a 94-μm diameter. Near threshold our laser operated in the vicinity of 1053 nm; when pumped 1.6 times threshold it operated dominantly in the vicinity of 1063 nm. 相似文献

本文报道了一种全固态腔内和频608.1 nm激光器。在激光谐振腔两个分臂中,两支激光二极管分别泵浦Nd: YVO4和Nd: YAG晶体,分别选择1 342 nm波长(Nd: YVO4晶体的4F3/2-4I13/2谱线)与1 112 nm波长(Nd: YAG晶体的4F3/2-4I11/2谱线)振荡并进行腔内和频。通过优化谐振腔设计,腔内两个波长获得了较好的模式匹配。在两个分臂的交叠部分,利用LBO I类相位匹配进行和频,获得和频608.1 nm激光输出。实验表明,当Nd: YVO4与Nd: YAG晶体泵浦功率分别为600和740 mW时,获得了功率为23.8 mW、波长为608.1 nm激光输出,激光输出稳定、噪声低。利用本文提出的和频结构是获得608.1 nm激光输出较为有效的方法。 相似文献

Laser dye DCM exhibits a tuning range of 605 to 725 nm with a lasing efficiency as high as 34% when pumped by the 488 nm line of the argon ion laser, placing it among the most efficient and broadly tunable dyes known. Performance of the dye is characterized for four laser systems: 1) continuous wave, 2) synchronously pumped (SP), 3) cavity dumped synchrompously pumped (SPCD) and 4) single-frequency ring dye laser. Pulse peak powers were as high as 520 W and 2.8 kW for SP and SPCD systems respectively. 相似文献

We present for the first time a Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1319 nm intracavity pumped by a 946 nm diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser.
A 809 nm laser diode is used to pump the first Nd:YAG crystal emitting at 946 nm, and the second Nd:YAG laser emitting at
1319 nm intracavity pumped at 946 nm. Intracavity sumfrequency mixing at 946 and 1319 nm was then realized in a LBO crystal

A compact and simple design for an LDA-end-pumped intracavity doubling high-power blue laser with a composite Nd:YAG laser on the 4F3/2 to 4I9/2 laser transition in a flat-curved cavity is demonstrated. The nonlinear crystal used in the experiment is an LBO crystal cut for phase-matching type I. Through the thermo-lensing effect of the laser crystal at high-pumped power, the optimum mode-matched and efficient intracavity doubling are realized at the same time. The maximum output power at 473 nm was 600 mW when the absorbed, pumped power of 15 W, and the optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is 4%. The stability of blue output power is 3.2% within 2 h. 相似文献

报道了波长为792 nm激光二极管端面抽运Tm,Ho:YLF连续激光器的双稳输出特性.激光晶体温度为283 K时,双稳区的宽度为100 mW,跃变点输出功率的跃变量为15 mW.实验上还研究了晶体温度对2 μm激光双稳特性的影响,当晶体温度从283 K升高到298 K时,双稳区的宽度由100 mW减小到60 mW,跃变点输出功率的跃变量由15 mW下降到6 mW.通过分析可知,Tm,Ho:YLF连续激光器的双稳输出是由能量转递上转换、激发态吸收以及激光下能级对2 μm输出激光再吸收共同作用的结果.

A simple method for generating single tunable subnanosecond dye laser pulses is described. A Rhodamin 6G dye laser is transversely pumped by a subnanosecond UV pulse of a TEA nitrogen laser. The narrowband output of the dye laser is amplified and shortened in a synchronously pumped amplifier. Narrowband pulses with a duration of 30–40 ps (fwhm) and a pulse power of 30 kW are obtained. A continuously operating jet stream dye laser was pumped by a multiwavelength-multimode argon-ion-laser with a pump power up to 200 W. Rhodamine 6G-chloride was dissolved in a water-polyvinylalcohol-ammonyx solution. The dye laser was prism-tunable between 560 and 650 nm with maximum output power at 600 nm. The maximum output power of the cw dye laser was 43 W without tuning element and 33 W with a prism placed inside the cavity. Operation of a jet stream dye laser with a pump power higher than 200 W and an efficiency of about 30% seems to be possible. 相似文献

A continuous-wave laser oscillation was demonstrated with a Yb-doped fluorapatite (FAP) crystal pumped with a 905 nm Ti:sapphire laser. The output characteristics for different output couplers were investigated. A maximum power of 67mW at a 1043nm wavelength was obtained with 10% output coupler, pumped by a Ti:sapphire laser with 910mW power. This corresponds to a slope efficiency of 26.5%. 相似文献

We report the first observation to our knowledge of room-temperature continuous-wave laser operation of a Pr(3+):KY(3)F(10) single crystal at 644.5 nm, pumped by a blue GaN laser diode emitting at 446 nm. With a 2.5% transmission output coupler and a nonoptimized optical cavity, an output power of 39 mW was obtained at 644.5 nm with a laser threshold of 125 mW and a differential slope efficiency of 23%. 相似文献

We report an all-solid-state laser system that generates over 200 mW cw at 244 nm. An optically pumped semiconductor laser is internally frequency doubled to 488 nm. The 488 nm output is coupled to an external resonator, where it is converted to 244 nm using a CsLiB(6)O(10) (CLBO) crystal. The output power is limited by the available power at 488 nm, and no noticeable degradation in output power was observed over a period of several hours. 相似文献

Single crystal ruby fibers, cooled with liquid nitrogen, have been operated as end pumped lasers. The fiber laser is a guided wave device with a length of 15 mm and a mean diameter of 60 μm. The laser resonator structure is monolithic, consisting of an aluminium mirror coated on one fiber end face and an uncoated opposite end face serving as an output coupler. We present an investigation of the excited-state absorption and laser emission of a 1.0-at. %-Nd3+-doped YVO4 single-crystal fiber grown by the low-cost and versatile laser-heated pedestal growth technique. Efficient laser emission at 1064 nm was achieved when the fiber was pumped, in an end-pump cavity, by a Ti:sapphire laser at 808 nm. A continuous-wave threshold of 10 mW was observed with an efficiency of 42% with respect to the absorbed pump power and the maximum output power of 200 mW. These results are excellent when compared with those of a commercial bulk crystal adapted to the same cavity (48% efficiency, 250-mW maximum output power). Thus the fibers are characterized as strong candidates for the construction of compact lasers that can also be pumped by low-cost diode lasers. 相似文献

Design and performance characteristics of a tunable dye laser system for sum frequency mixing (SFM) in a BBO crystal are presented. The system is composed of two tunable pulsed dye lasers pumped synchronously by the second harmonic of a commercial Nd:YAG laser. The radiation produced by the first dye laser is frequency doubled by second-harmonic generation (SHG) in KDP and subsequently mixed by SFM in BBO with the light of the second dye laser. The interest was focussed on generation of tunable laser radiation below 205 nm with high output power and long-time wavelength stability. High conversion efficiencies enable output energies of 100 J (20 kW) at 196 nm using only moderate Nd:YAG pump energies of 67 mJ. Altogether, a laser system with very good specifications for analytical application in the near VUV spectral region is reported. 相似文献
