We analyze the limiting behavior of the densities A(t) and B(t), and the random spatial structure(r) = ( A(t)., B(t)), for the diffusion-controlled chemical reaction A+Binert. For equal initial densities B(0) = b(0) there is a change in behavior fromd 4, where A(t) = B(t) C/td/4, tod 4, where A(t) = b(t) C/t ast ; the termC depends on the initial densities and changes withd. There is a corresponding change in the spatial structure. Ind < 4, the particle types separate with only one type present locally, and , after suitable rescaling, tends to a random Gaussian process. Ind >4, both particle types are, after large times, present locally in concentrations not depending on type or location. Ind=4, both particle types are present locally, but with random concentrations, and the process tends to a limit.  相似文献

We present measurements of the in-plane resistivity ab of YBa2Cu3O7– single crystals withT c 92 K and ab (100 K)50 cm. The temperature dependence of the fluctuation conductivity and of the magnetoconductivity aboveT c is analyzed in terms of direct and indirect fluctuation contributions for layered superconductors. The combination of fluctuation conductivity and magnetoconductivity allows to determine both coherence lengths ab (0) and c (0) as well as the phase-relaxation time of the pairs in an unequivocal manner. Evidence for clean limit type-II superconductivity in our crystals is given by large values of the mean free pathl ab ab (0).Dedicated to Prof. Dr. F. Semi-infinite systems are considered with long-range surface fields B z –(1+r) for large distancesz from the surface. The influence of such fields on the global phase diagram and on the critical singularities of depinning transitions is studied within Landau theory. For |B|0, the correlation length diverges as b –1/2 withb=|Bln|B–(1+r). For finiteB, t v withv =(2+r)/(2+2r) wheret measures the distance from bulk coexistence. In the latter case, a Ginzburg criterion leads to the upper critical dimensiond *=(2+3r)/(2+r).  相似文献

The critical behaviour of axially anisotropicn-vector models is characterized by two distinct length scales, the correlation lengths and for the easy and hard axes. In order to handle the full range of anisotropics from to partial differential renormalization group equations are derived, depending on and . The anisotropicX-Y model is studied in detail near four dimensions. The crossover scaling functions for the susceptibilities are calculated to first order in=4–d. Two distinct crossover regions are found for weak and dominant anisotropy, respectively.  相似文献

Vaidya has obtained general solutions of the Einstein equationsR ab= a b by means of the Kerr-Schild metricsg ab= ab +H a b . The vector field a generates a shear free null geodetic congruence both in Minkowski space and in the Kerr-Schild space-time. If in addition it is hypersurface orthogonal, the Kerr-Schild metric may be interpreted as the background metric in a space-time perturbed by a high frequency gravitational wave. It is shown that Vaidya's solutions satisfying this additional condition are of only two types: (1) Kinnersley's accelerating point mass solution and (2) a similar solution where a space-like curve plays the role of the time-like curve describing the world line of the accelerating mass. The asymptotic behavior of the energy–momentum tensor for a free quantized scalar field with mass m and curvature coupling in de Sitter space is investigated. It is shown that for an arbitrary, homogeneous, and isotropic, fourth-order adiabatic state for which the two-point function is infrared finite, T ab approaches the Bunch–Davies de Sitter invariant value at late times if m 2 + R > 0. In the case m = = 0, the energy–momentum tensor approaches the de Sitter invariant Allen–Folacci value for such a state. For m 2 + R = 0 but m and not separately zero, it is shown that at late times T ab grows linearly in terms of cosmic time leading to an instability of de Sitter space. The asymptotic behavior is again independent of the state of the field. For m 2 + R < 0, it is shown that, for most values of m and , T ab grows exponentially in terms of cosmic time at late times in a state dependent manner.  相似文献

The error probability for a coherent optical heterodyne FSK system with a limiter-discriminator-integrator (LDI) detector is analysed. The analysis includes laser quantum phase noise, the correlated receiver additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), Gaussian narrow-band IF filtering and intersymbol interference (ISI) caused by it. It is shown that, for 1 dBEb/N 0penalty at bit error rate (BER) 10–9, (i) the normalized IF beat spectral linewidth T0.35% for frequency deviation ratioh=0.5(MSK), and T0.5% forh=0.7 (the receiver is insensitive to laser quantum phase noise ath=1.0, if ISI is not included.); (ii) if ISI is incorporated, T0.15% forh=0.5, T0.5% forh=0.7, both with 3dB bandwidth-bit period product (3.0>BT1.5), and T0.5% forh=1.0 with BT1.0 ifT0.35% when ISI exists,h=0.7 is optimum;h=1.0 otherwise.  相似文献

Three definitions of logical independence of two von Neumann latticesP1,P2 of two sub-von Neumann algebras 1, 2 of a von Neumann algebra are given and the relations of the definitions clarified. It is shown that under weak assumptions the following notion, called logical independence is the strongest:A B 0 for any 0 A P1, 0 B P2. A study is made of instability at frequencies close to the electron cyclotron frequency B and its multiples, subject to the presence of two different groups of electrons. It is shown that a mixture of hot and cold electrons ( ph 2 pc 2 ) in the region of frequencies s B, s2 can be unstable with respect to waves of the flute type (k z=0) with maximum increment max ( ph/pc). B, if there exists an interval of transversal velocities in whichF/ >0. When the curvature of the magnetic field is taken into account, even waves with B can be unstable in such a plasma. The effect of spatial inhomogeneity of the hot component on flute-type instability and on two-beam cyclotron instability is also examined.The author extends his thanks to A. B. We determined the199mHg nuclear quadrupole interaction in the misfit or superstoichiometric compound Hg x TiS2 by time differential perturbed angular correlation. A unique Hg-site withv Q =511(1) MHz and =0.410(4) was observed, irrespective of the Hg-uptake (2/3x4/3). We propose a model of Hg-Hg zig-zag chains which accounts for these observations as well as for the X-ray diffraction data.  相似文献

We study the kinetics of irreversible random sequential parking of intervals of different sizes on an infinite line. For the simplest fixed-length parking distribution the model reduces to the known car-parking problem and we present an alternate solution to this problem. We also consider the general homogeneous case when the parking distribution varies asx –1 atx 1 with the lengthx of the filling interval. We develop a scaling theory describing such mixture-deposition processes and show that the scaled hole-size distribution(), with =xt z a scaling variable, decays with the scaled mass as exp(—const·1+) as . We determine scaling exponentsz and, and find that at large times the coverage(t) has a power-law form 1 – (t)t v with nonuniversal exponent =(2–)/(1+) depending on the homogeneity index .  相似文献

The current and logarithm-of-the-current distributionsn(i) andn(ln i) on bond diluted two-dimensional random-resistor networks at the percolation threshold are studied by a modified transfer matrix method. Thek th moment (–9k8) of n(ln i) i.e., ln i&k, is found to scale with the linear sizeL as (InL)(k). The exponents (k) are not inconsistent with the recent theoretical prediction (k)=k, with deviations which may be attributed to severe finitesize effects. For small currents, ln n(y), yielding information on the threshold below which the multifractality of (i) breaks down. Our numerical results for the moments of the currents are consistent with other available results.  相似文献

For a previously introduced conservative multibaker map with energy, the Gaspard–Gilbert–Dorfman entropy production of the stationary state induced by the flux boundary condition is calculated and the entropy production is shown (i) to be nonnegative, (ii) to vanish in the fine-grained limit for finite chains, (iii) to take the phenomenologically expected value in the middle of the chain and to deviate from it near the boundaries, and (iv) to reduce to the phenomenological expression in the scaling limit where the lattice site nZ and time tZ are scaled respectively as n=L X and t=L T and the limits of L + and L + are taken while keeping the diffusion coefficient D=lL /L 2 constant, l being the transition rate of the model. The mass and heat transports are also studied in the scaling limit under an additional assumption that the edges of the chain are in equilibrium with different temperatures. In the linear heat transport regime, Fourier's law of heat conduction and the thermodynamic expression of the associated entropy production are obtained.  相似文献

The surface resistance of a metal coated with amorphous superconducting films is investigated. With an improved microwave cryostat and a two layer model considering the influence of the substrate, much thinner films can be used than previously. As an example the surface resistance of amorphous Ga is determined. A set of parameters 0/k BTc=2,27; L=13,4 nm; 0=223 nm andl=1,0 nm describes the temperature dependence independent of thickness. As expected a model of free electrons is in agreement with the experimental results. For crystalline-Ga 0/k B T c =1,91; L=24 nm; 0=163 nm and a much larger mean free pathl=22 nm is found.  相似文献

The dynamics of short distance interaction is considered from viewpoint of the quark field theory. If the effective coupling of quarks (the invariant charge(p 2)) decreases with distance (with increasingp 2) the field picture unifies different phenomenological models: reggeology in the region of smallp and partonology in the region of highp but(p 2 ) lnp 2 1 and predict deviations with a subsequent increase ofp . A character of the deviations depends on the behaviour of whenp 2. The variants of the asymptotic freedom (0) and scale invariance (g 2 0 ) are discussed. We calculate the Stokes parameters of the photons produced in the decays of neutral vector bosons Z, Z 1+¯1+ and Z q+¯q+, wherel=e, , or , and q is a quark. In the decays of unpolarized Z bosons (with the production of unpolarized leptons or quarks) the nonzero Stokes parameters for 2 (circularly polarized photons) and 3 (linearly polarized photons). The magnitude of 3 does not depend on the parameters of the netural weak current of the leptons and the quarks (if their mass is neglected). Space-times with perfect charged fluids as sources, that admit groups Gr of isometric motions, are investigated. It is assumed that the velocity vector of the fluid is collinear to the timelike Killing vector i of group Gr. It is shown that the macroscopic motion of a perfect charged fluid can occur only in the direction of such a Killing vector i that defines an operator in an invariant subgroup or, in particular, an operator of the center of the group. Parametric representations of the generalized equations of state for the pressure p, the energy density of the fluid, , and the electric charge density are established. All these quantities are functions of the norm of the Killing vector i and the projection of the 4-potential of the electromagnetic field onto this vector i.
