本文讨论了大气信道中轨道角动量纠缠光子对的纠缠度, 并利用von Karman大气湍流谱来建立双光子纠缠度的模型, 分析了大气湍流对不同轨道角动量纠缠光子对纠缠度的影响. 研究表明: 在大气信道中, 由于大气湍流的存在, 纠缠光子对的纠缠度随着传输距离z的增加而减小; 大气湍流强度越大, 纠缠光子对的纠缠度下降的越快, 纠缠光子对传输的距离越小; 在湍流强度相同的大气信道轨道角动量指数越大的纠缠光子对, 纠缠度下降得越慢, 纠缠光子对传输的距离越远.  相似文献

Based on the paraxial approximation of the beams propagation in communication system, the square approximation of the wave structure function, the Zernike polynomial expansion of the non-Kolmogorov atmospheric turbulence-aberration and the assumption of the signal photon propagation in slant Zernike tilt corrected turbulence-channel, we analyze the effect of the multi-beam on entangled orbital angular momentum states. The joint detection probability of orbital angular momentum state entangled photons is modeled. Our work shows that the correction of the Zernike tilt aberration by adaptive optics is a method to improve the joint detection probability of orbital angular momentum state entangled photons. The crosstalk probability of the entangled orbital angular momentum states decreases as increasing of the degree of the spatial coherence of the partially coherent source and the beamlet number of the multil-Laguerre Gaussian Schell model beams.  相似文献

Multi-dimensional entangled states have been proven to be more powerful in some quantum information processes. Down-converted photons from spontaneous parametric down-conversion are used to engineer multi-dimensional entangled states. A kind of multi-degree multi-dimensional Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states can also be generated. The hyper-entangled photons are entangled in energy-time, polarization and orbital angular momentum, which is proven to be useful to increase the dimension of systems and to investigate higher-dimensional entangled states.  相似文献

We propose interferometric methods capable of measuring either the total angular momentum, or simultaneously measuring the spin and orbital angular momentum of single photons. This development enables the measurement of any angular momentum eigenstate of a single photon. The work allows the investigation of single-photon two-qubit entangled states and has implications for high density information transfer.  相似文献

Directly contradictory arguments coexist regarding the conservation rule of orbital angular momentum in spontaneous parametric down-conversion. We analytically show how this rule is decided by spatial symmetry. We discover that the down-converted photon pairs can carry non-negligible extrinsic orbital angular momentum in the degrees of relative-movement freedom due to spatial symmetry breaking, leading to nonconservation of total orbital angular momentum in type-II down-conversion. Also, we demonstrate that the traditional technique does not measure the extrinsic orbital angular momentum.  相似文献

We investigate a framework of an orbital angular momentum (OAM) entanglement swapping in a multi-dimensional Hilbert space with the spin angular momentum (SAM)-based orbital angular momentum (OAM) Bell-sate analysis. By the implementations of entanglement swapping with the SAM and OAM Bell-state measurements subsequently, the OAM entanglement states (qudits) are generated and then transferred between photons in multi-dimensional Hilbert space in a point-to-point fashion. In the proposed scheme, two pairs of the SAM-based OAM hybrid entanglement photons are deployed to conduct the successive SAM and OAM Bell-state measurements. It provides an alternative technique to transfer pure OAM Bell-states in qudits, which illustrates a possible experimental approach for devising a full repeater in a complex quantum computation network where entanglement swapping serves as a critical constituent.  相似文献

提出了一种制备三光子纠缠W态的方案, 该方案利用携带轨道角动量为的光子(其中l可取(-∞, +∞)的任意整数)可构成无穷维向量空间的特性, 采用两种类型的参量下转换, 产生轨道角动量-自旋角动量纠缠的两对光子和一对偏振纠缠光子, 通过纠缠交换制备三光子多自由度的W态, 实现三光子体系纠缠的高维度、大容量量子信息处理. 方案采用q-plate相位光学器件和单模光纤等器件制备两个不同自由度(轨道角动量与偏振)混合的W态, 并利用计算机全息相位图改进方案制备三个不同自由度(轨道角动量、线动量和偏振)混合的W态. 本方案可稳定产生两种等概率互为对称的W态, 具有高维度、强纠缠特性与抗比特丢失能力, 信息量达log2m+2比特(ml的可取值个数), 有望实现可扩容量子比特的安全通信.  相似文献

Enhancement of entanglement is necessary for most quantum communication protocols many of which are defined in Hilbert spaces larger than 2. In this work we present the experimental realization of entanglement concentration of orbital angular momentum entangled photons. We investigate the specific case of three dimensions and the possibility of generating different entangled states out of an initial state. The results presented here are of importance for pure states as well as for mixed states.  相似文献

The entangled orbital angular momentum (OAM) photons propagating across a weakly turbulent atmosphere are investigated. Here, the paper uses the single-phase screen model based on the Kolmogorov theory of turbulence, and focuses on the influence of the backward scattering on OAM evolution. The results indicate that backward scattering plays an important role in the analysis of OAM entanglement evolution in the turbulent atmosphere. It cannot be negligible especially for higher-order OAM mode. Moreover, when OAM mode is greater than 4, entangled photon pairs composed of higher OAM modes are not more robust in turbulence within the weak scintillation regime. These results will be useful in future investigations of OAM-based optical wave propagation through turbulent atmosphere.  相似文献

A generalized model of a double-wedge phase element containing two side-by-side parallel phase ramps with arbitrary slope angles is proposed. We study the diffracted optical field of a double-wedge element in terms of orbital angular momentum states. Analytical calculations reveal how the radius and position of the illuminating laser beam affect the composition of orbital angular momentum generated by the phase wedges.  相似文献

The entangled orbital angular momentum(OAM) three photons propagating in Kolmogorov weak turbulence are investigated. Here, the single phase screen model is used to study the entanglement evolution of OAM photons. The results indicate that the entangled OAM three-qubit state with higher OAM modes will be more robust against turbulence.Furthermore, it is found that the entangled OAM three-qubit state has a higher overall transmission for small OAM values.  相似文献

We study the connection between the quark orbital angular momentum and the pretzelosity transverse-momentum dependent parton distribution function. We discuss the origin of this relation in quark models, identifying as key ingredient for its validity the assumption of spherical symmetry for the nucleon in its rest frame. Finally we show that the individual quark contributions to the orbital angular momentum obtained from this relation cannot be interpreted as the intrinsic contributions, but include the contribution from the transverse centre of momentum which cancels out only in the total orbital angular momentum.  相似文献

We investigate the topological phase associated with the double connectedness of the SO(3) representation in terms of maximally entangled states. An experimental demonstration is provided in the context of polarization and spatial mode transformations of a laser beam carrying orbital angular momentum. The topological phase is evidenced through interferometric measurements, and a quantitative relationship between the concurrence and the fringes visibility is derived. We use a Laguerre-Gaussian laser mode within an optical tweezers arrangement to demonstrate the transfer of the orbital angular momentum of a laser mode to a trapped particle. The particle is optically confined in three dimensions and can be made to rotate; thus the apparatus is an optical spanner. We show that the spin angular momentum of +/-?per photon associated with circularly polarized light can add to, or subtract from, the orbital angular momentum to give a total angular momentum. The observed cancellation of the spin and orbital angular momentum shows that, as predicted, a Laguerre-Gaussian mode with an azimuthal mode index l=1 has a well-defined orbital angular momentum corresponding to ? per photon.  相似文献

We explain that, unlike the spin angular momentum of a light beam which is always intrinsic, the orbital angular momentum may be either extrinsic or intrinsic. Numerical calculations of both spin and orbital angular momentum are confirmed by means of experiments with particles trapped off axis in optical tweezers, where the size of the particle means it interacts with only a fraction of the beam profile. Orbital angular momentum is intrinsic only when the interaction with matter is about an axis where there is no net transverse momentum.  相似文献

射频涡旋电磁波等相位面呈涡旋状,是一种携有新自由度-轨道角动量的电磁波。在轨道角动量模式理论分析的基础上,提出了在中心频率6 GHz处产生携有轨道角动量的涡旋电磁波的一种圆微带天线阵新结构,设计了以双层圆形微带天线为阵元组成的圆形阵列天线,通过控制馈源的相位差,得到模式量子数为0,1,2, 3, 4的轨道角动量。仿真结果表明:携轨道角动量的电磁波矢量电场图具有涡旋波阵面的特性,合适的阵列半径和馈线排列分布将产生携有良好轨道角动量特性的涡旋电磁波,而不当的阵列半径或馈线排列分布将出现能量的分散或者相互耦合的问题。  相似文献

We generate intensity-difference-squeezed Laguerre-Gauss twin beams of light carrying orbital angular momentum by using four-wave mixing in a hot atomic vapor. The conservation of orbital angular momentum in the four-wave mixing process is studied as well as the spatial distribution of the quantum correlations obtained with different configurations of orbital angular momentum. Intensity-difference squeezing of up to -6.7 dB is demonstrated with beams carrying orbital angular momentum. Delocalized spatial correlations between the twin beams are observed.  相似文献
