Mimicking the extracellular matrix to have a similar nanofibrous structure regarding electrical conductivity and mechanical properties would be highly beneficial for cardiac tissue engineering. The molybdenum disulfide, MoS2, and reduced graphene oxide, rGO, nanosheets are two‐dimensional nanomaterials which can be considered as great candidates for enhancing the electrical and mechanical properties of biological scaffolds for cardiac tissue engineering applications. In this study, MoS2 and rGO nanosheets were synthesized and incorporated into silk fibroin nanofibers, SF, via electrospinning method. Then, the human iPSCs transfected with TBX‐18 gene, TBX18‐hiPSCs, were seeded on these scaffolds for in vitro studies. The MoS2 and rGO nanosheets were studied by Raman spectroscopy. After incorporation of the nanosheets into SF nanofibers, the associated characterizations were carried out including scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, water contact angle, and mechanical test. Furthermore, SF, SF/MoS2, and SF/rGO scaffolds were used for in vitro studies. Herein, the scaffolds exhibited acceptable biocompatibility and considerable attachment to TBX18‐hiPSCs confirmed by 3‐(4, 5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2, 5‐diphenyl tetrazolium bromide, MTT, assay, and scanning electron microscopy. Also, the real‐time PCR and immunostaining studies confirmed the maturity and upregulation of cardiac functional genes, including GATA‐4, c‐TnT, and α‐MHC in the SF/MoS2 and SF/rGO scaffolds compared with the bare SF one. Therefore, the reinforcement of these SF‐based scaffolds with MoS2 and rGO endues them as a suitable candidate for cardiac tissue engineering.  相似文献

Ag nanoparticles (Ag NPs) embedded titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanofibers were fabricated by colloidal sol process, electrospinning, and calcination technique. Calcination of the electrospun nanofibers were heat treated at 600°C for 180 minutes in air atmosphere. X-ray diffraction patterns exhibited that the anatase phase and silver coexisted in the resulted Ag NPs/TiO2 nanofibers; transmission electron microscopy demonstrated Ag NPs well spread in the porous microstructure of composite fibers. The prepared nanofibers were utilized as photocatalyst for degradation of methyl orange. The degradation rate of methyl orange dye solution containing Ag/TiO2 composite nanofibers is 99% only after irradiation for 3 hours. It is proposed that these new Ag NPs/TiO2 composite nanofibers will have potential application in water pollution treatment.   相似文献

In this study, we synthesized Tb/Tourmaline/TiO2 nano tubes (NTs) through a solgel-hydrothermal method. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectromicroscope, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The resulting Tb/Tourmaline/TiO2 NTs exhibited higher photocatalytic activity than pure TiO2 and TiO2 nano particles (NPs) in the degradation of menthyl orange under UV-light. Results revealed that doping rare earth element Tb could narrow the wide band gap of TiO2 and tourmaline could trap the photogenerated electron of TiO2 to inhibit the recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.  相似文献

This study investigated the coaxial electrospinning process of silver filling in TiO2 ultrafine hollow fibers using polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) sol/titanium n-butyloxide (Ti(OC4H9)4) and PVP sol/silver nanoparticles as pore-directing agents. The bicomponent fibers were heat treated at 200 °C and calcined at 600 °C. Silver particles having diameters of 5 to 40 nm were deposited on the inner surface of the long hollow TiO2 nanofibers (outer diameter of 150.300 nm) with mesoporous walls (thickness of 10.20 nm). The morphological structure of the filled ultrafine hollow fibers has been studied by means of infrared (IR) spectrum, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The diameters and wall thicknesses of the hollow fibers could be tuned by adjusting the electrospinning parameters. Compared with other nanostructured TiO2 materials, such as mesoporous Ag-TiO2 blending fibers, TiO2 hollow nanofibers, TiO2 nanofibers, and TiO2 powders, the silver filled TiO2 hollow fibers exhibited a higher photocatalytic activity toward the degradation of methylene blue.  相似文献

We demonstrate the multiple plasmonic effect on the photocurrent properties of photoanodes containing Ag or Au nanoparticles (NPs) loaded onto titanium dioxide film (Ag–TiO2 or Au–TiO2) on Au grating surfaces. Ag–TiO2 or Au–TiO2 nanocomposite particles are prepared by a flame spray pyrolysis route. The structures and morphologies of the prepared products are characterized by high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy. The Ag–TiO2 or Au–TiO2 composite NPs are deposited by spin coating onto the Au grating surfaces. The photoanode electrode is a layered structure of blu‐ray disc‐recordable grating substrate/Au/Ag (or Au)–TiO2/dye/electrolyte/indium‐tin oxide. The plasmonic effect is induced when Ag or Au NPs are located within the propagating surface plasmon (SP) field on the Au grating surface. The short‐circuit photocurrent is increased by exciting the grating‐coupled propagating SP on the Au gratings and is further enhanced by positioning the Ag or Au NPs within the grating‐coupled SP field. A new chemically modified electrode based on titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2‐NPs) has been developed. Aluminium was incorporated into the TiO2‐NPs to prepare aluminium doped TiO2 nanoparticles (Al‐TiO2‐NPs). Aluminium doped TiO2 nanoparticles‐modified screen printed carbon electrode (Al‐TiO2‐NPs/SPCE) was employed as easy, efficient and rapid sensor for electrochemical detection of vanillin in various types of food samples. Al‐TiO2‐NPs were characterized by energy‐dispersive X‐ray (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and analyses showing that the average particle sizes varied for the Al‐NPs (7.63 nm) and Al‐TiO2‐NPs (7.47 nm) with spherical crystal. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) were used to optimize the analytical procedure. A detection limit of vanillin was 0.02 μM, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 3.50 %, obtained for a 5.0 μM concentration of vanillin. The electrochemical behaviour of several compounds, such as vanillic acid, vanillic alcohol, p‐hydroxybenzaldehyde and p‐hydroxybenzoic, etc., generally present in natural vanilla samples, were also studied to check the interferences with respect to vanillin voltammetric signal. The applicability was demonstrated by analysing food samples. The obtained results were compared with those provided by a previous method based on liquid chromatography for determination of vanillin.  相似文献

UV radiation causes serious damage to skin, and a protective system capable of absorbing or reflecting UV radiation is required to protect skin. This paper describes the UV protection and photocatalytic properties of TiO2 nanofilm coated electrospun polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibrous mats with various nanofiber diameter and area density. The mats were coated by sol–gel process. The results of this research showed that sol–gel is capable of coating porous nanofibrous mats with a weight increase as low as 0.8%. The TiO2 nanofilm coated on the nanofibrous mats has a considerable effect on its UV protection. The UV protection factor (UPF) of the mats increases with decreasing nanofiber diameter. In fact decreasing the diameter of nanofibers of the TiO2 nanofilm coated PAN nanofibrous mats increases their photocatalytic activity. Moreover, this research showed that TiO2 nanofilm produced through sol–gel process on the PAN nanofibers has a crystalline structure. The UPF of the nanofibrous mat coated with a TiO2 nanofilm via sol–gel process can be classified as excellent.  相似文献

In this study, the copper sulfide nanoparticles (CuS‐NPs) and the zinc oxide/zinc hydroxide nanoparticles ((ZnO/Zn(OH)2‐NPs) were synthesized by a simple and low‐cost method, and the synthesized nanoparticles were characterized and identified by UV–Vis, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE‐SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X‐ray diffraction (XRD). The antimicrobial activity of the CuS‐NPs and the ZnO/Zn(OH)2‐NPs were examined by broth dilution to determine the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antibacterial agent required to inhibit the growth of a pathogen and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) required to kill a particular bacterium. Agar disc diffusion method was used to determine the zone of inhibition. The nanoparticles demonstrated potent antibacterial activity against Klebsiella pneumonia (ATCC 1827), Acinetobacter baumannii (ATCC 150504), Escherichia coli (ATCC 33218) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25293). Antifungal activity against Aspergillus oryzae (PTCC 5164) was also obtained. The data obtained from antimicrobial activities by broth dilution and agar disc diffusion methods exhibited the CuS‐NPs were more effective than the ZnO/Zn(OH)2‐NPs. A good correlation was observed between the data obtained by both methods.  相似文献

One‐dimensional nanofibers have attracted tremendous attention because of their potential applications. Electrospinning technology enables industrial production of these nanofibers. This study aims to fabricate one‐dimensional ZnO doped TiO2 by electrospinning and to characterize these hybrid nanofibers. The nanocomposite was prepared using colloidal gel composed of zinc nitrate, titanium isopropoxide and polyvinyl acetate. X‐ray diffraction, energy dispersive x‐ray analysis and transmission electron microscopy analysis confirmed the purity and crystalline nature of this material, whereas the diameter of these nanofibres estimated from scanning electron microscope (SEM), field emission SEM and transmission electron microscopy are between 200 and 300 nm. Cell counting with Kit‐8 assay at regular time intervals and phase‐contrast microscopy data revealed that C2C12 cells proliferated well on ZnO/TiO2 nanofibers between 1 and 10 µg/ml, and cellular attachments are visible by SEM. The nanostructured ZnO/TiO2 hybrid nanofibers show higher cell adhesion, proliferation and spreading behavior compared with the titanium substrate and control. Our study suggests that ZnO/TiO2 nanofibers could potentially be used in tissue engineering applications. The scalability, low cost, reproducibility and high‐throughput capability of this technology is potentially beneficial to examine and optimizing a wide array of cell‐nanofiber systems prior to in vivo experiments. Bi‐doped TiO2 nanotubes with variable Bi/Ti ratios were synthesized by hydrothermal treatment in 10 mol·L?1 NaOH (aq.) through using Bi‐doped TiO2 particles derived from conventional sol‐gel method as starting materials. The effects of Bi content on the morphology, textural properties, photo absorption and photocatalytic activity of TiO2 nanotubes were investigated. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) observations of the obtained samples revealed the formation of titanate nanotube structure doped with Bi, which exists as a higher oxidation state than Bi3+. Bi‐doping TiO2 nanotubes exhibited an extension of light absorption into the visible region and improved photocatalytic activities for hydrogen production from a glycerol/water mixed solution as compared with pure TiO2 nanotubes. There was an optimal Bi‐doped content for the photocatalytic hydrogen production, and high content of Bi would retard the phase transition of titanate to anatase and result in morphology change from nanotube to nanobelt, which in turn decreases the photocatlytic activity for hydrogen evolution.  相似文献

A novel TiO2 nanotube array/CdS nanoparticle/ZnO nanorod (TiO2 NT/CdS/ZnO NR) photocatalyst was constructed which exhibited a wide‐absorption (200–535 nm) response in the UV/Vis region and was applied for the photoelectrocatalytic (PEC) degradation of dye wastewater. This was achieved by chemically assembling CdS into the TiO2 NTs and then constructing a ZnO NR layer on the TiO2 NT/CdS surface. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results showed that a new structure had been obtained. The TiO2 NTs looked like many “empty bottles” and the ZnO NR layer served as a big lid. Meanwhile the CdS NPs were encapsulated between them with good protection. After being sensitized by the CdS NPs, the absorption‐band edge of the obtained photocatalyst was obviously red‐shifted to the visible region, and the band gap was reduced from its original 3.20 eV to 2.32 eV. Photoelectric‐property tests indicated that the TiO2 NT/CdS/ZnO NR material maintained a very high PEC activity in both the ultraviolet (UV) and the visible region. The maximum photoelectric conversion efficiencies of TiO2 NT/CdS/ZnO NR were 31.8 and 5.98 % under UV light (365 nm) and visible light (420–800 nm), respectively. In the PEC oxidation, TiO2 NT/CdS/ZnO NR exhibited a higher removal ability for methyl orange (MO) and a high stability. The kinetic constants were 1.77×10?4 s?1 under UV light, which was almost 5.9 and 2.6 times of those on pure TiO2 NTs and TiO2 NT/ZnO NR, and 2.5×10?4 s?1 under visible light, 2.4 times those on TiO2 NT/CdS.  相似文献

Gold nanoparticle (Au‐NPs)‐Titanium oxide nanotube (TiO2‐NTs) electrodes are prepared by using galvanic deposition of gold nanoparticles on TiO2‐NTs electrodes as support. Scanning electron microscopy and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy results indicate that nanotubular TiO2 layers consist of individual tubes of about 60–90 nm diameters and gold nanoparticles are well‐dispersed on the surface of TiO2‐NTs support. The electrooxidation of hydroquinone of Au‐NPs/TiO2‐NTs electrodes is investigated by different electrochemical methods. Au‐NPs/TiO2‐NTs electrode can be used repeatedly and exhibits stable electrocatalytic activity for the hydroquinone oxidation. Also, determination of hydroquinone in skin cream using this electrode was evaluated. Results were found to be satisfactory and no matrix effects are observed during the determination of hydroquinone content of the “skin cream” samples.  相似文献

We describe a simple method for preparing Au‐TiO2/graphene (GR) nanocomposite by deposition of Au nanoparticles (NPs) on TiO2/GR substrates. The as‐prepared Au‐TiO2/GR was characterized by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The presence of Au NPs on TiO2/GR surface remarkably improves the electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and β‐nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH). The Au‐TiO2/GR modified glassy carbon (GC) electrode exhibits good amperometric response to H2O2 and NADH, with linear range from 10 to 200 µM and 10 to 240 µM, and detection limit of 0.7 and 0.2 µM, respectively.  相似文献

TiO2 nanotubes were fabricated from TiF4 precursors within the pore channels of the linen fiber templates, resulting in crystalline fabricated titanate nanotubes (f-TNTs) upon removal by calcination at 500–600 °C. The f-TNTs were formed by the aggregation of TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) with a diameter of 80 nm; the wall thickness and size of the f-TNTs can be controlled by adjusting the concentration of the TiF4 precursor, time, temperature, and the size of the linen fibers respectively. After that, palladium (Pd(0)) NPs were coated on the surface of the f-TNTs (Pd/f-TNTs) by the chemical reduction method, using NaBH4 as a reducing agent. The size of the Pd(0) NPs is about 10–13 nm. The Pd/f-TNT nanocomposite is systematically characterized by X-ray diffraction, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, and field emission scanning electron microscopy. The Pd/f-TNT nanocomposite-modified glassy carbon electrodes exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity as well as amperometric determination of hydrazine, ascorbic acid, and dopamine; these electrochemical applications were carried out by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Metal/oxide nanoparticles are attractive because of their special structure and better properties. The Ni/TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by a liquid phase chemical reduction method in this paper. The obtained‐products were characterized by inductively coupled plasma (ICP), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that Ni particles in Ni/TiO2 nanoparticles exhibit better dispersion and the size of most Ni particles is 10 nm or so. The catalytic activity of Ni/TiO2 nanoparticles on the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) was investigated by simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis (TG‐DTA). Results show that composite process of Ni and TiO2 can improve the catalytic activity of Ni nanoparticles on the thermal decomposition of AP, which is mainly attributed to the improvement of Ni dispersion in Ni/TiO2 nanoparticles. The catalytic activity of Ni/TiO2 nanoparticles increases with increasing the weight ratio of Ni to AP.  相似文献

A nanofibrous polyaniline (PANI) thin film was fabricated using plasma‐induced polymerization method and explored its application in the fabrication of NO2 gas sensor. The effects of substrate position, pressure, and the number of plasma pulses on the PANI film growth rate were monitored and an optimum condition for the PANI thin film preparation was established. The resulting PANI film was characterized with UV–visible spectrophotometer, FTIR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The PANI thin film possessed nanofibers with a diameter ranging from 15 to 20 nm. The NO2 gas sensing behavior was studied by measuring the change in electrical conductivity of PANI film with respect to NO2 gas concentration and exposure time. The optimized sensor exhibited a sensitivity factor of 206 with a response time of 23 sec. The NO2 gas sensor using nanofibrous PANI thin film as sensing probe showed a linear current response to the NO2 gas concentration in the range of 10–100 ppm. Composites of electrospun poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) fibers and silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were used as a soft template for coating with TiO2 by atomic layer deposition (ALD). Whereas the as‐deposited TiO2 layers on PEO fibers and Ag NPs were completely amorphous, the TiO2 layers were transformed into polycrystalline TiO2 nanotubes (NTs) with embedded Ag NPs after calcination. Their plasmonic effect can be controlled by varying the thickness of the dielectric Al2O3 spacer between Ag NPs and dye molecules by means of the ALD process. Electronic and spectroscopic analyses demonstrated enhanced photocurrent generation and solar‐cell performance due to the intense electromagnetic field of the dye resulting from the surface plasmon effect of the Ag NPs.  相似文献

The formation of hollow binary ZrO2/TiO2 oxide fibers using mixed precursor solutions was achieved by activated carbon fibers templating technique combined with solvothermal process. The samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-vis, and infrared (IR) spectroscopy. The binary oxide system shows the anatase-type TiO2 and tetragonal phase of ZrO2, and the introduction of ZrO2 notably inhibits the growth of TiO2 nanocrystallites. Although calcined at 575 °C, all hollow ZrO2/TiO2 fibers exhibit higher surface areas (>113 m2/g) than pure TiO2 hollow fibers. The Pyridine adsorption on ZrO2/TiO2 sample indicates the presence of stronger surface acid sites. Such properties bring about that the binary oxide system possesses higher efficiency and durable activity stability for photodegradation of gaseous ethylene and trichloromethane than P25 TiO2. In addition, the macroscopic felt form for the resulting materials is more beneficial for practical applications than traditional catalysts forms.
