Complexation of various kinds of bisphenols (BPs) with cycloheptaamylose(β-cyclodextrin, β-CD) derivatives (β-CD, hydroxyethyl-β-CD (HE-β-CD), 2,6-di-O-methyl-β-CD (DM-β-CD) and polymerised β-CD (L-Poly-β-CD)) was examined fluorimetrically using2-anilinonaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid (2,6-ANS) as a probe. From the inhibitory effectof BPs on the inclusion of 2,6-ANS by the β-CD derivatives, the associationconstants (Kass) of BPs with the β-CD derivatives were determined. The Kass values for bisphenol B (BPB) with β-cyclodextrin derivatives except for L-Poly-β-CD were always larger than those for other BPs including bisphenol A (BPA), due to the interaction between the non-polar cavity and hydrophobic BPB. Thermodynamic parameters indicated that the entropy change was always largely negative (-90~ -120 J/mol...K in the β-CD system, for example), and the inclusion of bisphenols into the CD cavity was completely enthalpy-driven. The very largely negative entropy change might be mainly due to the tight fixation of guest molecules in the CD cavity, resulting in the loss of freedom of both CD and guest molecules. The effect of the structure of guest and host molecules on the association was also examined.  相似文献

Lipoylamino-beta- and gamma-cyclodextrin (LP-beta-CD and LP-gamma-CD, respectively) were adsorbed at the surface of gold electrodes by sulfur-gold bonding. The resultant electrodes exhibited quasi-reversible voltammograms for the redox reaction of Fe(CN)6(3-/4-) in aqueous solutions, with peak-to-peak separation (deltaEp) being 85 mV at 20 mV s(-1) as a potential sweep rate. When bile acids are added to the solution, deltaEp values increased to 200-300 mV with increasing the concentration of bile acids. A Langmuir-type adsorption analyses satisfactorily afforded the binding constants (Ksurf) of the surface-confined LP-beta-CD and LP-gamma-CD with the bile acids. The obtained Ksurf values of LP-gamma-CD are 5.0-50 times larger than the corresponding binding constants of gamma-CD in homogeneous aqueous solutions. Cyclic voltammetric experiments with positively, negatively, and non-charged adamantane derivatives as well as pH titration experiments revealed that the retardation of the electrode reaction of negatively charged Fe(CN)6(3-/4-) caused by bile acids was attributable (1) to electric potential changes due to the accumulation of the negative charges at the electrode surface, and (2) to an increase in the hydrophobicity of the electrode surface due to the binding of hydrophobic bile acids to the LP-beta-CD and LP-gamma-CD membranes.  相似文献

A novel single-isomer positively charged beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD), mono-6(A)-butylammonium-6(A)-deoxy-beta-cyclodextrin tosylate (BuAM-beta-CD), has been synthesized, characterized, and used for the enantioseparations of alpha-hydroxy acids, carboxylic acids, and ampholytic analytes by capillary electrophoresis in acidic aqueous background electrolytes. The effective mobilities of all studied analytes decreased with increasing concentration of CD. Satisfactory resolutions were obtained for alpha-hydroxy acids over a wide range of chiral selector concentration. The optimum CD concentration was lower than 5 mM for the carboxylic acids, while higher than 20 mM for alpha-hydroxy acids. Inclusion complexation in combination with ion pair interaction seemed to account for the chiral discrimination process. The hydrogen bonding may provide secondary contribution for the chiral resolution of alpha-hydroxy acids. In addition, BuAM-beta-CD was further proved to be an effective chiral selector for anionic analytes by the baseline enantioseparation of a six-acid mixture within 20 min.  相似文献

A molecular capsule based on ionic interactions between two oppositely charged calix[4]arenes, 1 and 2, was assembled both in solution and on a surface. In solution, the formation of the equimolar assembly 1.2 was studied by (1)H NMR, ESI-MS, and isothermal titration calorimetry, giving an association constant (K(a)) of 7.5 x 10(5) M(-1). A beta-cyclodextrin self-assembled monolayer (beta-CD SAM) on gold was used as a molecular printboard to anchor the tetraguanidinium calix[4]arene (2). The binding of tetrasulfonate calix[4]arene 1 was monitored by surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy. Rinsing of the surface with a high ionic strength aqueous solution allows the removal of the tetrasulfonate calix[4]arene (1), while by rinsing with 2-propanol it is possible to achieve the complete desorption of the tetraguanidinium calix[4]arene (2) from the beta-CD SAM. The K(a) for the capsule formation on a surface is 3.5 x 10(6) M(-1), thus comparing well with the K(a) determined in solution.  相似文献

Four fanlike organic compounds, 1-ethoxybenzene (EOB), 1-butoxybenzene (BOB), 1-dodecyloxybenzene (DOB), and 1-(dodecyloxy)-2-methoxybenzene (DOMB), were chosen as guests, and beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) and its two derivatives, mono(2-O-2-methyl)-beta-CD and mono(2-O-2-hydroxy-propyl)-beta-CD, were chosen as hosts. Energy changes involved in host-guest inclusion processes were clearly obtained by applying semiempirical PM3 calculations. According to this, probable structures of the host-guest inclusion complexes were proposed. The inclusion systems in aqueous solution were investigated by UV-vis spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance ((1)H NMR) titration, and the formation constants (K) of the inclusion complexes were determined using the Benesi-Hildebrand equation. Moreover, two solid inclusion complexes of beta-CD with EOB and DOB were prepared and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra, X-ray powder diffraction, (1)H NMR, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, and thermogravimetric analyses. Results showed that the host-guest stoichiometries in the inclusion complexes were all 1:1 both in solid state and in aqueous solution. As for the same host, the values of K increased in the order EOB < BOB < DOB, in strong association with the fan handle in the fanlike molecules; that is to say, the K values increased with increasing carbon chain length of substituent on benzene ring. In addition, the K values of DOMB complexes were larger than those of DOB complexes for the same CD, indicating that the introduction of an extra o-methoxyl group on DOB further stabilized the CD inclusion complexes. The decomposition activation energies of EOB-beta-CD and DOB-beta-CD were very similar but significantly larger than that of free beta-CD.  相似文献

[structure: see text] The mechanism for formation of extremely stable 1:2 inclusion complexes of water-soluble meso-tetraarylporphyrins with heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)-beta-cyclodextrin (TMe-beta-CD) in aqueous solutions has been studied by means of NMR spectroscopy and isothermal titration calorimetry. To simplify the system, 5,10,15-tris(3,5-dicarboxylatophenyl)-20-phenylporphyrin (1) was used as a guest porphyrin, because 1 forms only a 1:1 inclusion complex with cyclodextrin (CD). As host compounds, native beta-CD and the O-methylated-beta-CDs such as heptakis(2,3-di-O-methyl)- (2,3-DMe-beta-CD), heptakis(2,6-di-O-methyl)- (2,6-DMe-beta-CD), and TMe-beta-CDs were used. The thermodynamic parameters for complexation such as binding constants (K) and enthalpy (DeltaH degrees ) and entoropy changes (DeltaS degrees ) were determined by means of isothermal titration calorimetry. The K value for complexation of 1 with CD increases in the order beta-CD (K = (1.2 +/- 0.1) x 10(3) M(-)(1)) < 2,6-DMe-beta-CD ((1.2 +/- 0.1) x 10(4) M(-)(1)) < TMe-beta-CD ((6.9 +/- 0.4) x 10(6) M(-)(1)) < 2,3-DMe-beta-CD ((8.5 +/- 0.5) x 10(6) M(-)(1)), indicating participation of the secondary OCH(3) groups in extremely strong complexation of 1 with CD. Complex formation of 1 with beta-CD and 2,6-DMe-beta-CD is an enthalpically and entropically favorable process, while that with TMe-beta-CD and 2,3-DMe-beta-CD is an enthalpically much more favorable but an entropically less favorable process. The thermodynamic parameters suggest that inclusion of 1 into the cavities of TMe-beta-CD and 2,3-DMe-beta-CD is promoted by van der Waals interactions, which are stronger than those in the cases of beta-CD and 2,6-DMe-beta-CD. (13)C NMR spectra show that the conformations of both TMe-beta-CD and 2,3-DMe-beta-CD are altered upon inclusion of 1, while those of beta-CD and 2,6-DMe-beta-CD are mostly retained. On the basis of these results, it can be concluded that induced-fit type complexation of 1 with TMe-beta-CD and 2,3-DMe-beta-CD causes extremely strong binding of the host to the guest.  相似文献

In this work, the interaction between fisetin (3,3',4',7-tetrahydroxyflavone) (Fis) and cyclodextrins (CDs) (alpha and beta) was studied through UV-vis absorption, steady-state fluorescence, induced circular dichroism, and (1)H NMR experiments with dependence on temperature and pH. Some experimental data were compared with quantum-mechanics studies based on the SAM1 (AMPAC) semiempirical model, as well as with the B3LYP and MPW1PW91 functional models from density functional theory using the 6-311G and 3-21G basis sets. The spectroscopic measurements show that Fis does not form stable complexes with alpha-CD. On the other hand, at pH 4.0 and 6.5, the complex Fis-beta-CD is formed in a Fis:beta-CD 1:1 stoichiometry and an equilibrium constant (K) of 900 +/- 100 M(-1). In basic medium (pH 11.5), K decreases to 240 +/- 90 M(-1) because Fis deprotonation leads to its better solubilization in water. Molecular modeling points out that Fis is not totally inserted into the inner cavity of beta-CD. The formation of the inclusion complex renders an environment that enhances intramolecular excited state proton transfer. The inclusion complex is formed preferentially via entry of the Fis phenyl group into beta-CD.  相似文献

Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of bis-thioctic ester derivatives of oligoethylene glycols were prepared. When the number of (-CH2-CH2-O-)n units in these podands was either five or six, the corresponding SAMs showed ion binding properties and selectivities similar to those exhibited by 15-crown-5 or 18-crown-6 in aqueous solution, respectively. Impedance data for the SAMs as a function of metal ion concentrations were fitted by using a Langmuir isotherm to determine the association constants (Ka) with the different ions. The SAM derived from the n = 5 compound is selective for Na+ while that with n = 6 is selective for K+. Results presented here confirm the formation of ion recognition domains during self-assembly of acyclic polyethylene glycol derivatives on gold surfaces; this suggests that surface-confined pseudocrown ether structures are formed.  相似文献

A series of beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) dimers with 4,4'-diselenobis(benzoyl) linkers, that is, 6,6'-[4,4'-diselenobis(benzoyloxyl)]-bridged bis(beta-CD) (1a), 6,6'-[4,4'-diselenobis[2-(benzoylamino)ethyleneamino]]-bridged bis(beta-CD) (2a), and 6,6'-[4,4'-diselenobis[2-(benzoylamino)-3,6-diazaoctylamino]]-bridged bis(beta-CD) (3a), were synthesized in moderate yields by the reaction of 4,4'-diselenobis(benzoic acid) with beta-CD or oligo(ethylenediamino)-6-deoxy-beta-CD. Their binding behaviors with some structure-related substrates, such as acridine red (AR), neutral red (NR), rhodamine B (RhB), ammonium 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonate (ANS), and 6-p-toluidino-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid (TNS), were investigated in aqueous phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.20) at 298.15 K by means of fluorescence, NMR, as well as circular dichroism spectroscopy and compared with those of their 2,2'-diselenobis(benzoyl)-linked analogues, that is, 6,6'-[2,2'-diselenobis(benzoyloxyl)]-bridged bis(beta-CD) (1b), 6,6'-[2,3'-diselenobis[2-(benzoylamino)ethyleneamino]]-bridged bis(beta-CD) (2b), and 6,6'-[2,2'-diselenobis[2-(benzoylamino)-3,6-diazaoctylamino]]-bridged bis(beta-CD) (3b). The results showed that bis(beta-CD)s 1a-3a, whose Se-Se bonds were located at the para position of the carboxyl group, gave stronger binding abilities toward nonlinear guests (RhB and ANS) than their analogues 1b-3b, whose Se-Se bonds were located at the ortho position relative to the carboxyl group. The molecular binding ability and selectivity of model substrates by these ditopic hosts were sufficiently discussed to reveal not only the cooperative contributions of the linker group and CD cavities upon inclusion complexation with dye guest molecules but also the controlling factors for the molecular selective binding.  相似文献

A sol-gel technique was used for the preparation of a stir bar coated with a composite composed of polydimethysiloxane and beta-cyclodextrin (PDMS/beta-CD). The sol-gel mechanism during coating procedure was discussed and successful binding of beta-CD to the sol-gel network was confirmed by the IR spectra. Scanning electron micrographs of the stir bars revealed a homogeneous surface with a film thickness of 30-150 microm attributing to different coating times. Good thermal stability and solvent-resistance of the stir bar were found thanks to chemical binding formed between the stationary phase and the glass substrate. The PDMS/beta-CD coated stir bar was proved to have better selectivity to polar compounds compared to the PDMS coated stir bar, and higher extraction capacity compared to the corresponding PDMS/beta-CD coated fiber. Methods for the determinations of estrogens in environmental water, bisphenol A in drinking water and in leachate of one-off dishware by the PDMS/beta-CD coated stir bar coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were developed. The limits of detection were within the range of 0.04-0.11 microg l(-1) for estrogens using UV detection and 8 ngl(-1) for bisphenol A using fluorescence detection. Reproducibility with RSD less than 9.7% for extractions of real water samples at microg l(-1) or ngl(-1) level was obtained.  相似文献

Migration behavior and enantioseparation of racemic hydrobenzoin and structurally related compounds, including benzoin and benzoin methyl ether, in CZE with a dual CD system consisting of heptakis-(2,3-dihydroxy-6-O-sulfo)-beta-CD (SI-S-beta-CD) and beta-CD as chiral selectors in the presence and absence of borate complexation at pH 9.0 were investigated. The results indicate that enantioseparation of hydrobenzoin is mainly governed by CD complexation of hydrobenzoin-borate complexes with SI-S-beta-CD when SI-S-beta-CD concentration is relatively high. Whereas CD complexation of hydrobenzoin-borate complexes with beta-CD plays a significant role in enantioseparation when SI-S-beta-CD concentration is comparatively low. The (S,S)-enantiomer of the hydrobenzoin-borate complex was found to interact more strongly than the corresponding (R,R)-enantiomer with both SI-S-beta-CD and beta-CD. These two types of CD show the same chiral recognition pattern, but they exhibit opposite effects on the mobility of the enantiomers of hydrobenzoin-borate complexes. Enantiomer migration reversal of hydrobenzoin occurred in the presence of borate complexation when varying the concentration of beta-CD, while keeping SI-S-beta-CD at a relatively low concentration. Binding constants of the enantiomers of benzoin-related compounds to beta-CD and those of hydrobenzoin-borate complexes to SI-beta-CD were evaluated; the mobility contributions of all complex species to the effective mobility of the enantiomers of hydrobenzoin as a function of beta-CD concentration in a borate buffer were analyzed. In addition, comparative studies on the enantioseparation of benzoin-related compounds with SI-S-beta-CD and with randomly sulfate-substituted beta-CD were made.  相似文献

The inclusion complexation of ibuprofen in beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) has been examined by means of spectrofluorimetry at both acid and alkaline pH. The results suggest that stable 1:1 complexes are formed in both media. The analysis of the pK(a) values for ibuprofen in both the absence and presence of beta-CD (4.12 and 4.66, respectively) suggests that in the inclusion complex the carboxylic group is located outside the cyclodextrin (CD) but interacting with it. Further structural characterization of the complex was carried out by means of am1 semiempiral calculations. Based on the obtained results, a spectrofluorimetric method for the determination of ibuprofen in the presence of beta-CD at 10 degrees C was developed in the range of 4.7-58 mug ml(-1). Better limits of detection (1.6 mug ml(-1)) and quantification (4.7 mug ml(-1)) were obtained in this latter case with respect to those obtained in the absence of beta-CD. The method was satisfactorily applied to the quantification of ibuprofen in pharmaceutical preparations. A novel spectrofluorimetric determination of ibuprofen in the presence of beta-CD was also developed for serum samples at concentration levels between 5 and 70 mug ml(-1). It uses second-order fluorescence excitation-emission matrices coupled to an algorithm based on self-weighted alternating trilinear decomposition (SWATLD), and avoids resorting to separative instrumental analyses.  相似文献

On the line of a previous work on the spectral properties of some of heteroaryl chalcone, the absorption and fluorescence emission spectral properties of 3-(4'-dimethylaminophenyl)-1-(2-furanyl)prop-2-en-1-one (DMAFP), have been investigated in organized media of aqueous micellar and beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) solutions. While the absorption spectra are less sensitive to the nature of the added surfactant or beta-CD, the characteristics of the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) fluorescence are highly sensitive to the properties of the medium. The ICT maximum is strongly blue-shifted with a great enhancement in the fluorescence quantum yield on adding micellar or beta-CD. This indicates the solubilization of DMAFP in the micellar core and formation of an inclusion complex with beta-CD. The critical micelle concentrations (CMC) as well as the polarity of the micellar core of SDS, CTAB and TX-100 have been determined. The CMC values are in good agreement with the reported values while the polarity is lower indicating that DMAFP molecules are incorporated in the micellar core not at the micellar interface. The inclusion constants of binding of DMAFP in micellar or beta-CD have been also determined. The thermodynamic parameters of formation of DMAFP:CD inclusion complex have been calculated from the temperature dependence of the fluorescence spectra of the formed complex. The highly negative value of formation entropy (DeltaS=-98.0Jmol(-1)K(-1)) reflects the high restrictions imposed on the movement of both the host and included guest molecules which is consistent with the increase of the fluorescence yield and blue shift of the fluorescence maximum.  相似文献

The heterodimerization behavior of dye-modified beta-cyclodextrins (1-6) with native cyclodextrins (CDs) was investigated by means of absorption and induced circular dichroism spectroscopy in an aqueous solution. Three types of azo dye-modified beta-CDs (1-3) show different association behaviors, depending on the positional difference and the electronic character of substituent connected to the CD unit in the dye moiety. p-Methyl red-modified beta-CD (1), which has a 4-(dimethylamino)azobenzene moiety connected to the CD unit at the 4' position by an amido linkage, forms an intramolecular self-complex, inserting the dye moiety in its beta-CD cavity. It also associates with the native alpha-CD by inserting the moiety of 1 into the alpha-CD cavity. The association constants for such heterodimerization are 198 M(-1) at pH 1.00 and 305 M(-1) at pH 6.59, which are larger than the association constant of 1 for beta-CD (43 M(-1) at pH 1.00). Methyl red-modified 2, which has the same dye moiety as that for 1 although its substituent position is different from that of 1, does not associate even with alpha-CD due to the stable self-intramolecular complex, in which the dye moiety is deeply included in its own cavity of beta-CD. Alizarin yellow-modified CD (3), which has an azo dye moiety different from that of 1 and 2, caused a slight spectral variation upon addition of alpha-CD, suggesting that the interaction between 3 and alpha-CD is weak. On the other hand, phenolphthalein-modified beta-CD (4), which forms an intermolecular association complex in its higher concentrations, binds with beta-CD with an association constant of 787 M(-1) at pH 10.80, where 4 exists as the dianion monomer in the absence of beta-CD. p-Nitorophenol-modified beta-CDs (5 and 6), each having p-nitorophenol moieties with a different connecting part with an amido and amidophenyl group, respectively, associated with alpha-CD with association constants of 66 and 16 M(-1) for 5 and 6, respectively. The phenyl unit in the connecting part of 6 may prevent the smooth binding with alpha-CD. All these results suggest that the dye-modified CDs, in which the dye part is not tightly included in its CD cavity, associate with the native CD to form heterodimer composed of two different CD units by inserting the dye moiety into the native CD unit. The resulting heterodimers have a cavity that can bind another appending moiety of host molecules. On this basis, more ordered molecular arrays or the supramolecular hereropolymers can be constructed.  相似文献

The bisphenol A (BPA) imprinted polymer microspheres were prepared by simple Pickering emulsion polymerization. Compared to traditional bulk polymerization, both high yields of polymer and good control of particle sizes were achieved. The characterization results of scanning electron microscopy and nitrogen adsorption–desorption measurements showed that the obtained molecularly imprinted polymer microsphere (MIPMS) particles possessed regular spherical shape, narrow diameter distribution (30–60 μm), a specific surface area (SBET) of 281.26 m2 g−1 and a total pore volume (Vt) of 0.459 cm3 g−1. Good specific adsorption capacity for BPA was obtained in the sorption experiment and good class selectivity for BPA and its seven structural analogs (bisphenol F, bisphenol B, bisphenol E, bisphenol AF, bisphenol S, bisphenol AP and bisphenol Z) was demonstrated by the chromatographic evaluation experiment. The MIPMS as solid-phase extraction (SPE) packing material was then evaluated for extraction and clean-up of these bisphenols (BPs) from human urine samples. An accurate and sensitive analytical method based on the MIPMS-SPE coupled with HPLC-DAD has been successfully established for simultaneous determination of eight BPs from human urine samples with detection limits of 1.2–2.2 ng mL−1. The recoveries of BPs for urine samples at two spiking levels (100 and 500 ng mL−1 for each BP) were in the range of 81.3–106.7% with RSD values below 8.3%.  相似文献

Enantioseparations of five chiral phenothiazines in CD-modified CZE using the single isomer sulfate-substituted beta-CD (heptakis(2,3-dihydroxy-6-O-sulfo)-beta-CD, SI-S-beta-CD) and dual CD systems consisting of SI-S-beta-CD and a neutral CD as chiral selectors in a citrate buffer at pH 3.0 were investigated. The results indicate that SI-S-beta-CD is an excellent chiral selector for enantioseparation of promethazine. The enantiomers of trimeprazine were well separated, while those of ethopropazine could also be baseline-resolved with SI-S-beta-CD. With dual CD systems, especially with hydroxypropyl-beta-CD (HP-beta-CD) as neutral CD, the enantioselectivity of thioridazine and ethopropazine was considerably enhanced. Effective enantioseparation of phenothiazines, except for methotrimeprazine, could thus be favorably and simultaneously achieved. Moreover, reversal of the enantiomer migration order of ethopropazine and thioridazine occurred by varying the concentration of gamma-CD in the presence of SI-S-beta-CD. These phenomena may be attributable to the opposite effects of sulfated beta-CD and gamma-CD on the mobility of the enantiomers of ethopropazine and of thioridazine. Comparative studies on the enantioseparations of phenothiazines with single CD and dual CD systems containing SI-S-beta-CD and randomly sulfate-substituted beta-CD (MI-S-beta-CD) were made.  相似文献

The fluorescence enhancement of berberine (Berb) as a result of complex with beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) is investigated. The association constants of alpha-CD and beta-CD with Berb are 60 and 137 M(-1) at 20 degrees C in pH 7.20 aqueous solution. Effects of temperature on the forming inclusion complexes of beta-CD with Berb have been examined through using fluorescence titration. Enthalpy and entropy values calculated from fluorescence data are -33.7 kJ mol(-1) and 74.3 J x mol(-1) K(-1) respectively. It was found that the dielectric constant of beta-CD cavity is about 24 in a rough analogy with absolute alcohol. These results suggest that the extrusion of 'high energy water' molecules from the cavity of beta-CD and hydrophobic interaction upon the inclusion complex formation are the main forces of the inclusion reaction. Effect of pH on the association of beta-CD with Berb was also studied. Mechanism of the inclusion of beta-CD with Berb is further studied by absorption and NMR measurements. Results show that beta-CD forms a 1:1 inclusion complex with Berb.  相似文献
